Seeing them live is a must. Took my granddaughter to the Richmond Virginia show. It was her first concert. She was a hip-hop & rap fan. Now she's a full fledged member of TWA with the t-shirts to match. The show was in a small venue giving us an up close experience. They blew the doors off the place. Their performance matched the one's we see on the large stages. Utmost respect for their dedication and professionalism. Oh, after the show Pau singled out my granddaughter and personally gave her one of the drumsticks used in the performance. What a proud grandpa I was! Keep up the great reactions!

There are three songs from the Teatro show I think are better seen in earlier shows. The songs Survive and When I'm Alone are from very early in the career, written when they were in their earliest teen years. They were both played at their legendary 2017 Tedx performance, and have become fan faves for that reason. That 3 song show is a must watch.
The other song is Narcisista. At the time it was written the bands critics had been accusing the girls of being cultural traitors because they only wrote their lyrics in English. In 2019 a then 17-year old Pau wrote the band's first song in Spanish in response, in defense of herself and her sisters. Rather than wait to include the song on their next album, they recorded it immediately and released it as a standalone single.
They debuted the song in their hometown and recorded the show. Pau delivers a stunning performance, singing with conviction, with her lyrics projected on a screen behind her to make sure that her message to those critics was clear. Pau is fearless, and the song and performance are a highwater mark for the band for me. That recording is on their channel, called Narcisista - Live at Foro Didi in Monterrey. It is a far stronger performance that the Teatro version, which is also very special. But in 2019 Pau was very much in the zone, and the performance is electric.
    Just my two cents.

@@CoachCastTV I appreciate that - imagine putting that sort of thing on someone, let alone on girls of that age who are just having fun, and working towards their dream.
Doing the whole Teatro show is definitely recommended. Those very early songs don't come in until about a half hour in. Perhaps when you get to that point you could do an intermission, and go back and revisit the 2017 Tedx performance.
The songs are great for their ages at the time (12, 15, 17), and their performances are great to see, as well as their little speeches in between - that show made them many fans. I just feel the songs are a little out of place today, compared to the quality of their later work.
But you probably get a ton of ridiculous requests from all the different fanbases, and can't possibly accomodate them all. Thanks for your time if you read all this lol.

If you want to react to the whole concert, the first song is "Z" and it has a nice solo from Danny. By the way, if you want to know what she said to the crowd in Spanish:
    ¡Ciudad de México déjenme escucharlos!
Mexico City let me hear you!
    ¡Hasta atrás quiero escucharlos cantar!
All the way to the back I wanna hear you sing!
¡Ahora los de arriba, déjenme escucharlos!
Now the people at the top, let me hear you!
    ¡Sí, vamos!
    Yes, let's go!

I have known the band for less than a year and I honestly tell you that it never occurred to me to think that it was a girl band, I have always seen it as a rock band. An excellent rock band. Not only their quality as musicians and as a band contributes to this, but also the fact that they do not sexualize their image. Fellow Mountaineer. They just celebrated 10 years as a band. They have opened for Stryper, The Killers, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters and Guns&Roses. They have toured with Eruca Sativa, Halestorm, Three Days Grace and Muse. The sisters bring their A game whether it's a venue with a few hundred or a stadium of over 50,000 or one of the outdoor festivals. Especially last year they played some fairly large concerts in Europe with the Download Festival in the UK followed by Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany. I don't think they could fill a large stadium by themselves yet but they have sold out venues in the 5k - 8k range fairly quickly. My understanding is that some of their European shows have had to be moved to larger venues already because of the demand. The Teatro Metropolitan or Metropolitan Theater show you have seen a couple of songs from is primarily from August 29 2022. Originally scheduled for August 26 they sold it out so quickly they added a second show on the 29th and sold it out too. Approximately 3200 people each time. CDMX is Ciudad de Mexico or Mexico City and sits at around 2200 meters (7300 feet) above sea level. Pau especially has put in a lot of work to be able to drum and sing at that elevation since her home is considerably lower altitude. Monterrey where they are from is around 1700 feet above sea level.
If you go down this rabbit hole it is deep. A quick introduction would be the short retrospective video they used during intermission:
The Warning X Anniversary from The Warning RUclips channel.

Not only do they beat all all female bands, but they also beat most all male bands. Talent, early support and growing up together are hard to beat.
This is the first song released from the concert, but not the first at the concert itself. That was there opener:
The Warning - Z Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022
Pau can combine singing and drumming quite well because she sings and moves very rhythmically. You will still hear and see that later. The order of the songs is not that important because there are hardly any transitions. There is usually a short break. But they change clothes in the middle of the concert during a back track. In the first half they wear black, in the second half they wear white.

As a proposal and as you asked for it:
Here's the order of "listen to":
1st: "More" from the MTV VMA
2nd: Do the whole CDMX - concert except "Evolve":
Have a detailed eye on: 23, Narcisista, Martirio and Revenant - Each of this songs is somehow special ... That does NOT mean that the other songs are bad. In fact if you ask anyone from TWA (The Warning Army) you'll get each time a different answer. The Warning does not have ONE bad song.
3rd: Do "Evolve" from the MTV VMA
4th: I found it very interesting to hear about how they produce their sound. You can find Dany, Ale and Pow explaining what instruments and WHY they are using them. The fun part: The Warning does not have any secrets. Well, maybe one: They are extremely talented and good in what they are doing.
5th: Maybe do Evolve from CDMX - as some people say: The bad thing about "Evolve" is: When you hear this song at a concert you know it is over - and they are NOT doing a one hour concert. Evolve is great - but every great thing has to end sometime - They finish their concerts off on a pretty high level.
As you've already heard: The Warning is a Live-band! Just searched for info about their 3 (4) visits in Germany the next year: They just transfered their show in Munich to a bigger arena. Seems they have no doubts in selling enough tickets. I'm also extremely surprised about the concert-prizes: 32 Euro! For comparison: The cheapest ticket for Taylor Swift is above 100 Euro (normal, not on the black market).
Ah yes - and they will have a gig at Wacken - a pretty big Metal concert. I'm pretty sure they will blow the Metalheads also away - and for sure will establish some new contacts.

    You're right...
Beyond the musicality emitted by the instruments, masterfully executed...
Or the stupendous voices, each day more mature and better...
Of the deep lyrics, inspired by their innate genius...
And the paraphernalia of the "show", which achieves its goal...
It's inescapable that this moves you from the depths of your emotions when you observe what the girls are doing in their performance.
It's more than a pleasure to see how TW, DPA, really enjoys what they does, which seems to be a game that amuses them so much that they gives themselves up, contributing all their emotions and, at the same time, allows themselves to be the receptacle of everything that can transmit what's happening to them. happening around you, transforming everything into a virtuous circle of unsurpassed quality. Well, surely only surmountable by themselves.
And they've so much mastered what they're doing that they only have to give themselves completely, passionately (as Latinoamericans know how to do), to what they like to do best and most, in a way in which they've fun and fully enjoy it.
For this and many more things TW will conquer the world of rock!!

They are a great rock band regardless of all these other attributes. I ignored the band completely because I assumed they were a gimmick based on these things. When I finally gave them a chance I was immediately blown away. Pau is one of my all-time favourite drummers. The Warning is definitely one of the best all female rock groups ever. With that said they are still very young and there is a lot of room for improvement. They need to get more comfortable with jam sessions and solos. Currently their music live is very scripted and barely deviates from the original recorded track. Fortunately during the 3 full production shows in Mexico they added a little longer jam sessions to a couple songs. I know it will come in time and that is when they will launch into becoming rock legends.

Actually when we talk about The Warning we don't think of them as a female band. Why? Because of their insightful lyrics delivering contextual messages besides their subtle & intelligent musicianship. I understand your reluctance in delving into what a band is saying because in the recent past groups have not said anything substantial. Nobody is in the habit of "listening" to a group as nowadays the show, the energy in performance has taken precedence over meaningful substance.
Every song from The Warning needs to be reviewed with the lyrics, innate message & back story, if available. They are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades. Their profound metaphorical songwriting on contemporary society sets them apart from the crowd.
So you can always read what the band says about their songs during your reactions. Their ages at the time of composing a song & playing it in public should be noted too in reviews.
This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the 1st draft on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then.
That is why Dany, guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by the song.
The Warning are masters in composing in minor scales. Quite often they introduce a full sequence of major chords for the same verse to break the monotony. And that downward bend in vocals here is typically The Warning with this progression G Bb E A G#m . I mean G & G#m in the same sequence - incredible!!!
Among their 3 full albums & 2 EPs the girls have published a concept album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene where they have mused over unrequited love, death, self harm, suicide & lunacy. Pau was in middle school going through her emo phase when she tabled the 1st draft in front of her sisters. Just to keep it in context, five decades back Roger Waters dealt with death, lunacy & depression in The Dark Side of the Moon.
Dive into their rabbit hole that stretches back more than a decade to when they were playing classical piano as 6-8 year olds. Its all on YT. They have practically grown up on social media. After watching your reaction I am confident that you won't be disappointed. Happy diving.

*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know...
Dany sings the part of the "leader"... Pau sings the part of a "follower" or "disciple"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear...
*XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹

From drummer Paulina - Disciple is a song about social media, right? and how opinions are bought in social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know and how by like feeding ignorance and cultivating hate, like people gain a lot of power and money So that's what Disciple is about
Drummer Paulina is also the prominent song writer in the band; where her songs start out on piano.

You have seen them at the beginning and recently which gives you an idea of thier talent but you have not really delved into the meaning and messages they are giving out in many of thier songs. Disciple continures a message they have been warning us about since the beginning of thier song writing journey. I would highy suggest that you go back and watch thier music video XXI Centruy blood from thier first album to get a grasp of the modern issure that they are concerned about. It is a fantasic video and won several awards and it was written , performed and released when they were 13, 16 and 18. They are not just musically gifted they are also caring and thoughtful human beings who have concerns about modern technology and how it may be harming the minds and thinking of people today.

Ale, on bass, just turned 19 a few days ago. Pau, on drums is 21 about to turn 22 in January. Dany on guitar will turn 24 in January. This is where they are now, after ten years as a band. With the exception of their version of Enter Sandman featured on Metallica’s Blacklist album every song they play in concert is an original written by them. I believe their catalog of original material is near 60 songs and will be over 60 when they release their next album. I don’t believe there has ever been a band, of any gender, that can claim that status at their ages. React to the entire concert. The quality of their creativity and musicality will put everything in perspective…and they’re just getting started.
