A firm landing on the numbers better than floating in ground effect for a much longer landing. Nicely done minimal control inputs all the way down. Thx for sharing.
Well said, Ken. My mantra goes: So long as the aircraft is on the touchdown zone, it's a superb, textbook, landing (so long as you don't exceed the strut tolerance- FPM.). Great video, Captain Boeing as always.
Looked pretty sweet!! Yeah, might've been a little heavy on the touchdown, but you are a BIG cargo aircraft. I am guessing you had a fairly large load?? Weather didn't seem to be a factor. I wish my airport (GDN/EPGD) had those beautiful 747 coming in and out every now and then but I guess I will need to try look for them next time I'm in Oslo or some other big airport. Best wishes for you Captain, it must be a joy to fly this big beauty
Capt. Boeing, been enjoying all of your UT video for years now. I have a question; does the sheepskin lining on the chairs do much for pilot comfort? They seem to be so flattened out (after so many years of use), do they have any really advantage for PF or PM monitoring comfort? Amazing! It didn't seem that firm, but the 747 is a big plane so a lot of the toutch must be absorbed by the fuselage. I'd love to fly for you guys!
