With limited capacity and availability of tickets I think it’s safe to say that the fans in attendance at these games are passionate baseball fans. Not saying that if you aren’t going to games you’re not one, but there aren’t a lot of “my coworker had tickets and can’t go so they gave them too me” stories right now. I watched it all live, they beat us up in the series but yeah after that out, gotta say there’s some classy folks down there in Anaheim.

I was at angels stadium, being an angels fan seeing him go 8 for 8 was amazing.
I like how the Angels fans applauded him when they finally got him out. Classy move.
Some players develop later, he might be one of those. As far as I know, he has been killing it in the Dominican Republic for some time now, hopefully as a White Sox fan, this kid is the real deal, if he is, he'll make the White Sox that much better.

This reminds me of Sandy Leon's insane streak when he got called up by the Red Sox in 2016...no-name player who became an overnight sensation in Boston. Hopefully Mercedes finds long-term success, which is something Leon never acquired.
