No way in Gods green earth that Josy would ever leave my hands if I had her! She would be my dream mule too! I doubt that she will be anything but big with her breeding. Got Maggie at about 3 years old and now at 6 I can't see over her back...probably 15-3 now. Way bigger than I thought she would be. Calm and sweet. You are doing a great job with your training of her. Well trained and trusting prevents a lot of recks down the road. Wish Mag had all those spots...but she's my dream mule no matter her color. You ride the attitude, you get lucky with the color!
It’s crazy how long it takes them to grow up! Clyde grew like 4 more inches after his 4 year old year haha! Maggie sounds so cool ❤️❤️ I like that name too ☺️ Thank you so much, we really got lucky with her! She’s a special one for sure ❤️

Hi Jason and Alyssa! Wow! Josey has grown so much, in size and skills. She seems to be better about being pushy, so given her age, she is really amazing! I love her laid back personality. The whole video I was thinking, “They are going to sell her?” I’m so relieved to hear you are keeping this sweet molly. I think given the story that God wanted you to have her. The way you are training is so gentle. Just wonderful to watch. I’m enjoying your earlier videos too. I can’t wait to see her grown up. Take care and God bless your family and you! 😊🙏👏👍
Thank you so much!! Haha yes her being pushy is a work in progress but she has gotten much better 😂❤️ Yeah we feel the same like she was meant to be! The only reason we would think about selling her to a good home would be if she ended up just too small for us to ride ☺️❤️ but I don’t think she will!!
She really is! We got very lucky with her! Did you see her first videos? She was so nervous to even let us touch her when we first got her, but it didn’t take her long to figure out we were her friends ☺️☺️
This video actually brings ideas of what true feminism is to my mind... A female trainer who is a consummate professional, yet also seems to bring even more nurturing patience to the task than one might expect of a man. This lady simultaneously radiates such competence and caring that I think I would trust my six-year-old daughter with her overnight without ever even having met her... Plus, maybe my girl would even get a free lesson in mule breaking. Just wonderful... Kudos!

They are great for that. She just needs to learn to tie and not be panicked and then we will start hauling her out! I’m SOOOO excited!! ☺️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love that you’re bringing her packing without expecting her to carry weight since she’s so young. I was laughing when you said she could pack the sleeping bag and a lunch 😂

Depending on her individually, if she seems like she is maturing than we will start her with a rider at 3. But we don’t do any steep mountain rides or long rides until they are conditioned with a rider which is usually closer to 4 if not after they turn 4. We plan to have her for her lifetime so what’s the rush ☺️❤️
@@johannakuster1564 protection from what? Bugs? I could see that being a point if we had cut her tail. Mules don’t grow much of a mane to begin with, especially an appaloosa crossed one. Kinda triggers a soul memory from past warrior lives.😮😆
@@jennyrosd2003 that’s awesome!! I’ve shot compound a bunch but only trad once, I loved it! We’ve been talking about getting some trad bows for fun and I’m already planning on trying to shoot off of Clyde with it haha I bet he wouldn’t care!
@@jennyrosd2003 that’s awesome your guys getting it and runs right past them for you!!
@@MTN_BUILT yeah I was surprised when I noticed he was cluing in . Cuz I'm thinking of something completely different and he has to do his part. He also likes when I hit the target cuz I say good boy. Haaa and he has to stop after a few shots and stand to wait for me to gather arrows. Just all sorts of cool stuff they learn to do with a reason behind it. So much stuff we do has no immediate reason. I think its kinda magic. They are so intelligent and like to be part of it.
Wait till 4 to do real riding?
Depending on her individually, if she seems like she is maturing than we will start her with a rider at 3. But we don’t do any steep mountain rides or long rides until they are conditioned with a rider which is usually closer to 4 if not after they turn 4. We plan to have her for her lifetime so what’s the rush ☺️❤️
Dont cut the mane! They need it as protection.
@@johannakuster1564 protection from what? Bugs? I could see that being a point if we had cut her tail. Mules don’t grow much of a mane to begin with, especially an appaloosa crossed one. As we say in the video, we choose to trim our mules manes as do many mule owners. You don’t have to agree, but that’s what we do! ☺️👍🏼
How old is she?
She will be two end of this year
She's so calm She's boring
She will be reading and writing before to much longer
Haha I know it right?!? I mean that’s what you want a first saddling to look like, but it’s not so entertaining to watch 😂😂❤️ I’m not complaining at all, so happy with her!! ☺️ thanks for watching!!
Military
Ugly thing to say about ...... anything
What??
It doesn’t seem fair to ride her, as she’s not large enough. To ride a horse their shoulder should at least be as tall as your shoulder. The recommended weight they can carry is 20% of their own weight. She shouldn’t carry a grown adult.
@@denisemiller4083 that’s a super good point and that’s why we’re not riding her yet 😊
It is an absolute CRIME you shaved off he gorgeous mane 'because it's more difficult to maintain'. Shave your own #"&+ hair as well then!
lol I actually do. It’s much cooler too 😊 -Jason
She's beautiful.
Thank you! She really is! We’re so thankful for her 😊
