For real. Although I wasn't mad when the actress Julia Garner won for her role on OZARK. She plays the hell out of white trailer park trash. So I was happy for her too. But Jharrell's performance had me shook.
My sentiments EXACTLY. His acting on Moonlight was scene-stealing. I figured he has a bright future if he picked his roles carefully. And keep his head above water and not get dragged down into the Hollywood gutter. Because Hollywood can definitely kill you. Figuertivelly and literally.
His performance was a exceptional acting class especially E4! What a rare talent plus he's so eloquent & handsome! VERY well deserved Award! I wish the show won, how disappointing!
This is how you make everyone fall in love with you not by putting on fancy clothes or lookin beautiful but by your work, by thissss. So Proud of him tbh, he totally deserved it for his role. Even tho we can never relate to the things that those 5 went thru actors like him open the gate to thier emotions for us and the way thay he potrayed his character it broke my heart. I REALLY HOPE HE GO BIG FROM HERE. Best of luck mate ✋👍
I didn't see this film, I want to but I can't bring myself to sit through it. One day I will have the courage and strength to get through it all. I'm glad that he won however, and as already stated, he represented very well. Good job Jharrell Jerome.
Tonya R Moore you are right ! It was super hard to watch. I cried the entire time (and sometimes often wanted to scream and was super angry) but it was important to watch this mini-series!
TheScorpion Queen I you go to the interviews he did for "when they see us" he was asked the question at least once from my memory but I think it was more than that, but he answered that question. I wish I could remember which interview but I'm sure you will find it if you look up his interviews.
You don’t have to be The Dominican republican to be Afro Latino. You can be black and be from any Latin country and fall under the category of Afro Latino.
This whole Afro anything because of skin color is so annoying. Just lose it entirely. Some American white person came up with this term and the whole world has to follow suit. Give me a break.
I only watched the Emmys to see him win !!! 💯👏🏿
Tony Turner me too 🤗👏🏾
That second question was so deep
And he answered it quite well. 🙌🏽
His response was real deeeeeep....
Perfect response!

You can do it, it was hard but it was worth it! Every second was worth it!

Episode 4 took me 3 attempts. It was painful to watch. He was amazing!
It's tough. I cried for a few days. Made me really think about our "justice" system.

I liked the question from the sister representing ESSENCE magazine.
So well deserved. Congratulations young man ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely loved the way the story was shown and the amazing job he did. He deserves this award and many more.
Why didn't anyone ask him how he felt being the only actor to remain as the character transitions from kid to adult in this movie..

BX ALL DAY GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!🙅🏾♂️🙅🏽♀️
He is the Black Jake Gyllenhal
No he's Jharrel Jerome. No need to compare him to white actors.
@@mstai8145 Thank you for enlightening me with your profound comment.
@@mstai8145 True! But I did think for a bit that he is the new Denzel.
How about he is the black jharrel jerome
@@mstai8145 I am entitled to my opinion. There was no harm meant by it. If you don't like it keep scrolling. Dumb ass
What kinda STUPID questions do these fools ask?🤔🤔🤔🤔 smh
Tf is afro latino? Just say Dominican.
Jona Sosa Why not?
