My first truck was XD Platinum Reserve. Very lush. I dont go offroad often, so locker wasnt a problem. Everyone who saw it, especially inside, was VERY impressed. When redesign cam out, I traded it in for pro4x titan XD. Here is why i got pro4x:
    1. Looks.
    2. I loaded it up. It was still cheaper than Platinum Reserve but had all big features, including the locker and hill descend. It doesnt have wood trim and brown seats - but i dont mind.
    3. I hear that pro4x hold up the value better.
The best color for plat reserve is Red. For pro4x is baja storm or gunmetal.

I went through the same debate in 2020 and got a loaded Pro4X. I like the blackout look better and the increased off road capability. It’s been a great truck so far, replacing my 2006 Titan LE.

We purchased a 2021 Nissan Titan XD SV. The Titan XD we purchased has the Titan cargo boxes and the 5th Wheel package. Our Titan XD has a payload of 1820 lbs and 20" tires. The Titan XD SV does not have the Platinum goodies, but without the goodies, you have a higher payload. We are thrilled with the Titan XD and highly recommend this truck!

    • @lukman8400

      I have a 2021 XD pro4x.
The XD is the best value for towing up to medium trailers with confidence. Maybe even smaller fifthwheels. Great bargain. Definitely, the SV trim is the way to go for higher payload because the equipment is lighter. I imagine those cooled seats are heavy :)
PS i am surprised your payload is not over 2000lbs. The max payload is 2,400 and i thought it was on the SV trim… maybe it is on the S trim.

My 2020 Tundra TRD was totaled so I got a 21 leftover PR. I’m getting older so the plushness was more important. I got the 4wd but will never take it off road. I just pull the boat. This is my 1st Nissan. I couldn’t bet on the reliability of the tundra v6.

Love my 2017 n not much has changed. You missed headlight feature. To adjust your dim lights when towing or hauling extra gear to not blind everyone else. My headlights are awesome and manual light adjustment should be on every truck. Get blinded all the time. Stereo system is serious. Rockford fasgate pounds the bass. Putting a super 10 muffler n leaveing kit with fender flares n real mud flaps. Dealership custom makes a steel plate to protect rear sensors on inside of rear bumpers. They have to be damaged before they add it under warranty tho, but love my truck and it's my daily driver at a round trip of 2.5-3 hours. My boys both had new dodge trucks loaded sport models. Both said my titan felt more expensive and drove much nicer. I agree. Loaded sl model just enough tec n no sun roof. Perfect truck n easy clean up with dogs in the back seat, love that heavy thick leather seats. One of the best trucks out there, n only one a v8 is standard like a truck should be. Be nice to have a bit longer box tho without losing cab space. Wife loves her murona as well, nissan makes some nice rides. We used to drive dodge n jeeps, both motors went with their sand blasting on their build up of engine blocks, so switched to a better ride, better warranty Espically titan getting 5yr 100k full warranty is the best kicker.

PR had better leather (softer) and wood trim, but lacked diff locker and hill descend. $4k cheaper loaded pro4x is a no brainer, imho.

The modern truck seems to be illustrated more by its beauty than its long term capability and ruggedness,.. kinda like the modern human who has been trained to like pretty things, rather than lifetime things... and the manufacturers know this thus taking all your MONEY. Show me a video of the entire powertrain disassembled, and the suspension bushings and what they are made of and why it is good or bad. Show me how the 5.6L variable valve lift system works and why the certain types of metal were chosen to provide a good service life of the system (ahem BMW cough cough).. Show me the welds on the god damn frame of the truck and tell me what steel it is made of so i can sleep better at night KNOWING my truck is made from god damn high quality alloy STEEL! And dont be coy, you can show me those crack prone exhaust manifolds that nissan still uses too...
All jokes aside i think the titan is one of the better trucks on the road, but nissan really drops the ball all the way down the old well in the backyard considering they stopped selling them in canada... kinda like LG stopped making phones because they couldnt SWALLOW thier PRIDE and hire an NORTH AMERICAN sales team that knows what the Ef. they are doing...

The Plat. Reserve was smoother. The Pro-4x is tuned for off-road so it’s going to be a tad more aggressive. Drive em both and get a feel. Bonus both trucks sound AMAZING!

@@urbanrver3527 i had 17 PR and now have 21 Pro4x. Both XD Titan. PR was diesel and the ride was ok. But 21 XD pro4x is so smooth on highways. I dont have a comparison to 21PR.

Just test drove Titan. Not the XD , small wheel base . Short bed, too choppy not very smooth, needs longer wheel base , longer bed. Steering wheel not that smooth on turning.

My Titan has the worst turning radius ever. I have to back up to make the turn in most drive throughs. Worst truck I’ve ever owned. There’s only 11000 kms on it. And I’m getting rid of it. Nice truck but the because of the turning I’m getting rid of it and it won’t be a Titan.

My 2012 Tundra has an awful radius but not sure I'd get rid of it for that reason alone.
