This was wonderful to see! I knew Crystal Gayle was Loretta's sister. I grew up listening to Crystal on the radio. I had no idea she had additional siblings involved in country music, too. I'm glad they were able to get together to sing this. They are a very talented family...to say the least!

Peggy Sue had a record deal with Decca back in the 1960s. You may want to check her out on RUclips for songs. Peggy travels with Crystal now and sings backup for her.
Loretta was already married in Jan 1948 and living in Custer, Washington by the time Brenda Gail (Crystal), the youngest of the Webb kids, was born in Jan 1951. Loretta had no part in raising this baby as she was already married and raising two babies of her own in Custer, WA. In 1955 the Webb family moved to Wabash, Indiana, which is where Brenda (Crystal) grew up.
@@TraceyKHouston I didn't mean that she raised Crystal from birth. Crystal has said in interviews that when she visited, she was closest to Loretta's daughters, as they were close in age to her.
@@su-rv2uq Well that's understandable, however that's not what you said originally, and I responded with facts to your original comment. This is the most adorable video. Loretta lynn communicates to crystal that she "is hoarse" in the first verse. Crystal picks up on this and comes in to pick up the slack like the professional that she is. Crystal belts out the 2nd verse, after which, Loretta follows this with the 1st verse again (which should have actually been the 3rd verse). You can tell from Crystal's expression that, whoa, this isn't the plan. So Crystal adjusts by following Loretta's 1st verse with the 2nd verse (which, at this point, should have been the 4th verse). Then Crystal brings the ship back on course by correctly starting into the 5th verse. But halfway through the 5th, accidentally sings part of the 6th verse....... and then very sweetly and selflessly takes responsibility for "messing up" Loretta's song.. GOD I LOVE CRYSTAL GAYLE :)

It doesn't seem that...Looks like Loretta Lynn was having a difficult time singing as she kept putting her hand on her throat so I am assuming she was looking more at Crystal Gayle to sing more of it...At one time when Crystal sang a verse on her own it was Loretta that pointed at her for her to sing it alone, she also mouthed something to her when she wanted her to sing herself...So I believe she was relying more on Crystal Gayle to get through the song thats why she was looking more at Crystal Gayle... more her because she is a solo singer and Peggy Sue was singing with them.

Yes. Peggy even had some country hits of her own in the 1960s. at one time Loretta, Peggy Sue, and Crystal along with their Brother Jay Lee were all on Decca Records.
Of course not! Don't assume anything. As you can see Loretta is having a difficult time singing the song, including forgetting the lyrics, and she's concentrating very hard, looking to Crystal for guidance and help. After all, this was Crystal's Grand Ole Opry induction, not Peggy's. ;)
