You would probably spill water all over the washing machine with that small sink. Not really suitable for anything, except washing hands. If you want to wash your face with cleaning product you'll have a mess to clean afterwords. It looks nice before you actually live there. It's more suitable to be rented per night like a hotel. When i compare different places, they have got a lot bigger over the years. This micro apartment really breaks the norm. But there aiming for a certain market and customer.
This apartment is divided for rent in parts. It is easier to rent three small apartments than one relatively large one, since the cost of renting a large apartment will be more than the mortgage payment for it. My sister lived in an apartment of 16 square meters (+2 meters of balcony). It's very small even for one person, so she swapped it for an apartment three times bigger.
I've seen 9 sq meter apartments in Paris for sale. The first apartment I rented in Athens was 26 sq meters and it was adorable. For a single person in a European city, small apartments are preferred. I settled for 39 sq meters and I love it 😻
They look like hotel rooms. There's absolutely no storage space, even for basic things like many clothes, bed linen, towels, books, suitcases, etc, so it's convenient only for someone who wants to stay there for a short time, not for someone who wants to live there for years. Two improvements the owner could make to free up space (I've lived for years in 12-18 sq meters, so I know what I'm talking about) : 1) The bed takes up too much space. The bed mattress could be put on a loft so the space under the bed would be freed. 2) The fridge is too big for 1 person, he could have installed a much smaller fridge (around the size of the cupboards under the sink) and free the entire space above the fridge in order to place the microwave oven and above it have one more cupboard next to the others.
The appartments are lovely. . If the beds folded up against the wall there would be room for exercising.but they are fine for one person. Thankyou for showing us.🦘🦘🦘
I would love the one with open space....outside... forgot name. The apartments are modern and clean..Hey! Russell, you did not tell us how much rent is.
20m² apartments are common in Europe. They're often called a garconniere (bachelor's pad), although that word might have a certain different meaning in some countries 😂 It's an apartment for singles, not couples. I've never heard of one as small as 15m² though. Mostly people buy them with intention to rent them out. No one plans on being single forever. If your parents are rich, you might get one when you move out, but regular people don't bother buying them. They're too much money for such a small space.
As a business/landlord its a great way to maximise your income, 3 rentals, which would no doubt be higher than one rental for all rooms as one house, they are done to a good standard and would suit single people but a couple/family i think would find it hard space wise and just being on around each other constantly. The last one i looked at the gap and thought overweight people risk getting jammed in that gap, yes myself included, but i would happily stay in any of those. Another great video 👍
@@TravellingwithRussell yeah I was very impressed with each of the rooms, Yuri is about the same build as me, but he's far better looking, but again I'm very impressed how they can pack so much into small spaces, would love to see how they did the 9 metres one. @@garyclements2821 The radiators are not hot enough to damage the curtains :-) When I lived in an apartment, my cat liked to sleep between the wall and the radiator.
@@garyclements2821 We have very cheap heating. I think that the tenant will pay a maximum of 2000 rubles per month for heating one of the apartments shown in this story. Usually, in apartments and houses in Russia, the temperature is maintained at about 22-25 degrees Celsius (note that radiators with a temperature regulator). The average salary in Moscow is 130 thousand. I live in Siberia in a house made of sip panels, with an area of 180 square meters, and in the coldest winter months I pay 2.5-3 thousand rubles for gas. Together with my wife, we earn about 300-350 thousand rubles a month.
You should realize that this is not the initial design of the apartment. The owner converted a 2-bedroom apartment into three studios for daily rent....
This is perfect. It’s the size of a hotel room but has a kitchen and washing machine. I’m in Moscow for a month at a time living out of a hotel… so something like this would be perfect for me.

I'm Russian. I will never buy an "apartment" with an area of 20 or 15 square meters. Because these are not apartments, but storerooms. This is a shame caused by the greed of those who divided one, not very large apartment into three parts. There is nothing to admire here. This is a hymn to Yuri's greed. It's a shame. My apartment is 80 square meters (three rooms) and at the same time I don't consider it big (I have a wife and a child). Even my studio apartment (room and kitchen) has an area of 38 square meters. You can't call what Yuri shows you an apartment. Yuri is lying: he himself will never live in such housing. Europeans don't understand this, but Russians buy housing for their family, not just for themselves. Because the meaning of a person's life is his family, which he must take care of. The family will not be able to live in the pantry. I am even sure that this redevelopment (dividing one apartment into three) was not agreed upon and therefore those who buy them will have problems with resale. But it won't be Yuri's problem anymore...
Really quite beautiful little apartments! What a gorgeous area!! And Spotless !!!!! The apartments are lovely..not too sure for more than one person ?? The finish on the buildjng itself and apartments is excellent. Thanks Russell and hi to Yuri....

The layouts of these Micro Apartments are way better than the ones around where I live in the US. for a single person you could easily live there while you get your life situated and what have you. It all boils down to what would a average income be and what other expenses would you have on top of rent, food, internet, phone, cable, etc.
These are really nice, furnished but small studio apartments...I like that each loveseat is a foldout sleeper for someone visiting and that they each have a washer/dryer combo in the bathroom. It's definitely doable.
I wouldn't call it living but you certainly could survive if need be. I'm reminded of an engineer I used to work with who said that, in speaking of the crowded city, he wasn't going to live in an "ant hill". I have to agree with him now that I've reached that age. To each his own.
Agree! it's disgusting! what's next? will they move people to live in coffins? We are not Japan! We don't live on an island! We are the largest country in the world, why are they saving space for housing?

Agreed. Used to live in a 20m2 place for a while, really did not enjoy it. Too claustrophobic, primarily because it did not have a balcony. It might work if you spend almost all your time outdoors/outside.
My only concern with those would be the micro-apartment doors crashing into each other in the case of everyone getting out in an emergency. I think the 5 metres of corridor could have been used a bit better for the four doors needed, perhaps by opening inwards to the apartments.

Wall Dude Looks like a modern take on Michelangelo's David if he lived in Moscow 2024. I could live there in my extreme minimalist living mode.
My family of 7 - dad, mom, five kids lived in a 1100sf house in the 60-70s. Houses are enormous today.
When i compare different places, they have got a lot bigger over the years. This micro apartment really breaks the norm. But there aiming for a certain market and customer.
@@TravellingwithRussell Oh I know. I live in 27 square meters now. I’m retired and just me. I do have a 27 square meter porch as well.
I would rather prefer not bastardized an original 60m apartment
This apartment is divided for rent in parts. It is easier to rent three small apartments than one relatively large one, since the cost of renting a large apartment will be more than the mortgage payment for it.
My sister lived in an apartment of 16 square meters (+2 meters of balcony). It's very small even for one person, so she swapped it for an apartment three times bigger.
smart student living.
I'm very impressed I like all three, but the one with the small balcony does it for me.
Wow - awesome, thank you Russell!
I thought you would tell us the price of each?
Perfect studio Apartments, it's the new trend in very big cities
I liked them. Not sure my wife would see it the same way.
Perfect only for single people.
The first one was good, I think it is very clever how they have put the washing machine underneath the bathroom sink.
If you have a big family you could rent three units, have a private foyer and just leave the doors open.
Good idea.
20m² apartments are common in Europe. They're often called a garconniere (bachelor's pad), although that word might have a certain different meaning in some countries 😂
It's an apartment for singles, not couples. I've never heard of one as small as 15m² though.
Mostly people buy them with intention to rent them out. No one plans on being single forever.
If your parents are rich, you might get one when you move out, but regular people don't bother buying them. They're too much money for such a small space.
4:30 magic ✨
Thank you Yuri and Russell.
Thats why we had Yuri step in the shower to prove it would fit us both. )) Your right, 3 rentals for the price of one apartment originally.
@@TravellingwithRussell yeah I was very impressed with each of the rooms, Yuri is about the same build as me, but he's far better looking, but again I'm very impressed how they can pack so much into small spaces, would love to see how they did the 9 metres one.
Watch a lot of your videos but this one I liked, always worry when I see curtains over radiators that are hot but maybe I'm just a worrier.
Keep up the great videos 👍
@@garyclements2821 The radiators are not hot enough to damage the curtains :-) When I lived in an apartment, my cat liked to sleep between the wall and the radiator.
@@АндрейХорошилов-з3г thanks for that 👍
Yeah I would actually love to live in something like those in the video, would be cost effective and warm 👍

What a great area! Love the shops and not too far to get to Red Square. I would love it. It's like a nice hotel room.
You should realize that this is not the initial design of the apartment. The owner converted a 2-bedroom apartment into three studios for daily rent....
Only as a tourist, and even that for short periods, 2 weeks at best.
I really enjoyed your video on studio apartments and yes Yuri made the video.
9 square meters... a luxury jail cell
This is perfect. It’s the size of a hotel room but has a kitchen and washing machine. I’m in Moscow for a month at a time living out of a hotel… so something like this would be perfect for me.
Beautiful architecture.
The buildings were amazing for a new build.
@@TravellingwithRussell Yes. So many decorative details. Very unusual in our time. Maybe a prestige project.
Beautiful micro apartment. Good layout maximized the limited size. Thank you for the concept!
You forgot to say what the rent was for each apartment?
the cost of such apartments is about 350-550 dollars per month + utilities, including unlimited Internet - 20-50 dollars

I really like this apartment! You could have a small sofa bed and chair instead of the bed. I love the balcony ! It’s like another space to relax and take in the view.
Better than being homeless isn't it.

Hi Russell thanks for video. Would be really interesting to see new display homes as well like the ones you see in Australia in new estates. Thoughts?
Loved this video Russel! Thanks!! There is no way I can live in such a small place but that’s just me. I’m absolutely amazed at the washing machine/sink combo! I will have to look up on the internet how that works! Thanks to Yuri for letting us see them!
The sink and washing machine combo are very poplar even in bigger bathrooms. Thanks for watching ) Yuri really was a great guy.
A lot old flats in Bucharest are same size but as luxury 😊
These sizes of places really were a thing year ago.
I love the space looking chandelier!

Beautifully designed.
Спасибо за прекрасный Обзор, было очень интересно
The layouts of these Micro Apartments are way better than the ones around where I live in the US. for a single person you could easily live there while you get your life situated and what have you. It all boils down to what would a average income be and what other expenses would you have on top of rent, food, internet, phone, cable, etc.
These are really nice, furnished but small studio apartments...I like that each loveseat is a foldout sleeper for someone visiting and that they each have a washer/dryer combo in the bathroom. It's definitely doable.
Washer/dryer combos are a pain. It takes multiple hours to wash and dry a load of clothes.
The Greek guy on the wall kills it.
It's what happens when you let a designer choice the decor.
Under bed storage would really help, i like these tiny apartments. I can see this being a big thing in the future
Beautiful flats
I wouldn't call it living but you certainly could survive if need be. I'm reminded of an engineer I used to work with who said that, in speaking of the crowded city, he wasn't going to live in an "ant hill". I have to agree with him now that I've reached that age. To each his own.
I would be ok to live here alone. No chance with my wife and I together though.
whats the price

No, I can't, it should not exist.
It was originally a 60 sq meter place, that was separated into 3 smaller apartments.
Agree! it's disgusting! what's next? will they move people to live in coffins? We are not Japan! We don't live on an island! We are the largest country in the world, why are they saving space for housing?
Russell, you know those brand new apartments you did show us there in Moscow I understand each floor different price I wonder if they rental and how much 2 bedrooms. 4th floor and up. If there a Real estate or someone that can help us. 👌🙏 Thsbks Russel 🧚♀️
bigger than many apts in NYC/Manhattan for 4500/mo, or downtown Paris.
Agreed. Used to live in a 20m2 place for a while, really did not enjoy it. Too claustrophobic, primarily because it did not have a balcony. It might work if you spend almost all your time outdoors/outside.
Being from Canada, it’s funny to me that he clearly doesn’t take heating for granted! Oh look! The hallway is heated!!! 😂😂😂
3 doors can't be open at once => fire safety?
My only concern with those would be the micro-apartment doors crashing into each other in the case of everyone getting out in an emergency.
I think the 5 metres of corridor could have been used a bit better for the four doors needed, perhaps by opening inwards to the apartments.
almost like a hotel room, a nice room.
At first, I was thinking the same thing.
