They CANNOT do that. And I don’t mean that as in, “that’s mean, they can’t do that”! They legally cannot do it without facing consequences because it would be false advertising, and they would be open to lawsuits as a result. It won’t happen. But legality aside, why would they even do it…? So far all Fontaine 5 stars are really good, but they become especially good when you pair them with what’s probably the most broken artefact set we have so far, being 4pc MH. Hu Tao and Kuki are popular characters that drain their own HP, but they’re not able to reliably use that set. Fontaine 5 star DPS-es use them fantastically without breaking a sweat, and are rewarded with a free damage boost and 36% crit rate as a result. That’s insane. Sure they might take a bit more skill and / or planning to take advantage of their HP drain without dying against heavy hitters, but that doesn’t make them bad characters, just not suitable for everyone. Why would perfectly good 5* characters like that be given away for free in the standard banner, anyway? It makes no sense. Edit: curse you autocorrect

I'll answer yours in return, as well. :) Dehya and Tighnari had banners upon debut for people who wanted to guarantee getting them, or wanted C6R5. But they were always advertised as characters that would become standard banner characters, instead of banner-exclusive, limited event characters. Dehya, for example, was confirmed to become standard right in the 3.5 program. The Rizz-Lee rumor was just a romor - he'll never become standard, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your pov). But he should have a rerun soon enough, so if you save up, you'll get him! 180 wishes aren't hard to get with all of the new areas and events releasing, and that's a 100% guaranteed character. :)
Furina is such a blessing because Charlotte offers very neglible boosts to team dps, but Furina’s kit gives Charlotte value and a good reason to be built. We stan the hydro archon

It takes me Total 118 pulls first I got Goofy Dehya, C1 Charlotte, C6 Collie, C3 Bennett than finally at end got my Bestie Furina and as a f2p new GI player I really appreciate Hoyo for that ☺️
As an Amber Main, Charlotte's cryo application is godly useful. We don't have a single cryo applicator that can apply cryo this consistently other than Ganyu or Shenhe's burst, both of which are expensive units better suited elsewhere. Charlotte is currently the only character that can do it on a skill, and consistently. It's pleasantly surprising.

Both kaeya and rosaria are better but their bursts suit better in close quarters which isn't ideal if you're an amber main

I only had 30 pulls for furina since i just previously won the bard (took !e 3 reruns to get the mf) but i swore to dedicate the 30 pulls i had to get charlotte. I guess that manifested it and i got her for my first 10 pulls. Hehe

As someone with the entire cryo roster in the game, Charlotte doesn't seem to stand out in terms of actually boosting dps in 95% of team comps BUT I love her Nahida-esque cryo application which is super fun to play around with, in for example, a Childe riptide team, swirling hydro and cryo off Childe's CA and her E with Kazuha then going ham with freeze riptides and being able to full heal the entire team is very comfy. She's a very fun addition to the game!
As someone who doesnt have jean, kokomi or baizhu i see her as an absolute win 💀 at least she wont freeze me to death like barbara and can work with furina
Furina + healer is a new generation. This core is similar to bennet + xiangling, which have off-field dps, buff for team and heal but for all team, not just dps has atk scaling. Look at the healers who can heal whole party with one click, we have Baizhu, Jean, Barbara, Sayu, Charlotte, Mika. Except Baizhu and Jean may be not for everyone, the other four stars are quite good in many situation.

Oddly enough, furina, charlotte , ayaka, and an anemo res shredder works very nicely as well. It makes the atk% buffs from noblesse a bit more relevant as well.
i really like her offield cryo app, its not too high but its enough to feel comfortable to freeze without ganyu, before this layla was probably the best f2p option but thats reliant on her ult even if easy to get
I find Charlotte so adorable that I am willing to FORCE teams to work with her. Right now, I've slotted her in my new main Yoimiya Team, With Yoimiya - Furina - Charlotte - Jean, where Charlotte basically works for either reverse melt or freeze reactions, but mostly just as another healer alongside Jean to push my C1 Furina's buff.
Coming back after over a year off. My only healers were Barbara and Noelle. I hate Barbara, but luckily I pulled Charlotte. I like her kit and style, so I’m glad to build her up.

i looked from the angle of which teams could her skill be good for with that cryo application, melt makes so sense, superconduct seems quite decent if there wast mika already, so there only really was freeze remaining, for a cryo dps seems doable, for a hydro dps i dont see why you wouldnt wanna go vaporise instead. i guess the fridge thing could work, i didnt rlly think of it. But honestly i dont see much value in her overall aside from just playing her for fun in coop or simply because you really like her as a character
Charlotte is a good healer , my problems with her is the energy cost and doesn’t access to constant healing so let say if you got hit by a big dmg after her burst , it’s quite inconvenient
Hey, babs can freeze too! She just freezes her party instead of the opponent! :D Ngl though I love babs and I find her the best fit in my niloubloom team; moreso even than kokomi because of her instant hits, party-wide heals without needing her ultimate and rez. Kokomi is better in teams where 1 character needs a ton of healing right away. but then again, i built "babsinator"; with 1100 EM pre-nahida-buff she just terminates enemies with nilous bloom buff. her healing suffers for it, but babs + kirara both at C6 is really good. As for charlotte's damage, shes yet another one who gets a lot better suddenly from xianyuns plunging buffs. in my case compared to her normal damage, her buffed plunges ar 5x - 6x better.
Shenhe, Layla, Kazuha, and Charlotte are pretty fun together. Pop a Harbinger of Dawn and Tenacity of the Millelith on Layla, Ocean Hued Clam set on Charlotte, and let Shenhe and Kazuha turn Layla and Charlotte's cryo tickles into punches. Doubt it's meta, but it's wiping out bosses pretty quickly... plus the shield from Layla helps charging Charlotte's skill more comfortable.
Charlotte is really balanced I think. I actually think she's a great 4 star in that she provides a solid kit that works well, but gets outdone by the specific 5 stars. I also think she scales well with her constellations, and at C6 she provides even more Cryo application and healing. All in all, I feel like the modern 4 stars have a hard time because we always compare them to the old 4 stars, but I think it's less that the newer 4 stars are bad and more that the older 4 stars are just really strong. I also think she's the best support for the Neuvillette and Furina team; competing well with Baizhu.
I got Furina, Wriothesley, and Lyney. I don't need another main/sub dps now, she's just what I needed. I also think her playstyle is fun and her design looks cute.
I think it is because cryo, the element, kind of sucks, reaction-wise. So devs don't really know what to do with it, especially for four stars, who aren't going to perform decent DPS regardless.
well the reason i use Diona is for DIona Shield tbh and additional heal + 200 EM if you have that cat at C6 that is quite good for some Dendro team, with Sacrificial Bow, got 2 shield, but damn I just love Charlotte voice

Just my opinion, but isn't she an alternative for rosaria or kaeya for off field cryo application in case you're very good at dying despite the advantage of freeze?
She’s an alternative yes but a very clunky one, she needs to do her 2second hold E in order to maximize her off field cryo app while the others just swap, EQ, then leave.
I would love to build Charlotte since her cryo application is pretty good, although her dmg is low despite being an atk scaler, along with her superb healing. But my problem is, I have Baizhu which is obviously the superior healer with Furina. And in a Wriothesley team, I would've use Shenhe and not have a 3rd cryo member. I can't find a spot to use her and I don't want to build a character I'll bench right away since there are many and potentially superior options. Perhaps if I have her C6 then I might.
I have used over 100 summons for furina and cant pull her let alone any 5 star. so my main is Kaeya right now this will be my first healer I am going to work on since I just started the game about a week ago. If I do Kaeya Charlotte and Xingqiu what do you recommend for a 4th char 4 star?

I agree with everything you said in the video lmao. I'm semi-casual veteran player, I don't have Furina (yet) and I struggled a lot to think where to put Charlotte in a team outside dendro related team. I know it's too early to judge new character, but Imho and very blunt opinion she's not worth it to raise if you're into meta or anything else. You'll be good to just use Kaeya and/or Rosaria for sub-dps/battery and Diona/Mika/Layla for healing/shielding. If only her skill works as coordinated attack and her burst last a bit longer or get additional duration via cons or something like how Collei's burst works, she's good to go. Not hating on her as character in the story but as playable character her kit is not that good. If you're going to use her anyways, more power to you King/Queen.

simply skill issue... i have been beating spiral abyss on my phone since jan 2022.... and back then my phone was dog shit... the only abyss i couldn't 36* was the 3.7 one the actual concentrated beast hell.
Use one button comp Hyperbloom raiden or muscle nerd As long as you don't messed up with rotation you should be fine And ayato or neuvilete vape comp Just pair him with Bennett and xiangling as support DPS with one button 😂😂😂

Charlotte is a good healer , my problems with her is the energy cost and doesn’t access to constant healing so let say if you got hit by a big dmg after her burst , it’s quite inconvenient

Ngl though I love babs and I find her the best fit in my niloubloom team; moreso even than kokomi because of her instant hits, party-wide heals without needing her ultimate and rez. Kokomi is better in teams where 1 character needs a ton of healing right away. but then again, i built "babsinator"; with 1100 EM pre-nahida-buff she just terminates enemies with nilous bloom buff. her healing suffers for it, but babs + kirara both at C6 is really good.
As for charlotte's damage, shes yet another one who gets a lot better suddenly from xianyuns plunging buffs. in my case compared to her normal damage, her buffed plunges ar 5x - 6x better.
Im gonna level her on the sole purpose of her attacks being hilarious. But its nice to know her cryo application is good.

Shenhe, Layla, Kazuha, and Charlotte are pretty fun together. Pop a Harbinger of Dawn and Tenacity of the Millelith on Layla, Ocean Hued Clam set on Charlotte, and let Shenhe and Kazuha turn Layla and Charlotte's cryo tickles into punches. Doubt it's meta, but it's wiping out bosses pretty quickly... plus the shield from Layla helps charging Charlotte's skill more comfortable.

Charlotte is really balanced I think. I actually think she's a great 4 star in that she provides a solid kit that works well, but gets outdone by the specific 5 stars. I also think she scales well with her constellations, and at C6 she provides even more Cryo application and healing. All in all, I feel like the modern 4 stars have a hard time because we always compare them to the old 4 stars, but I think it's less that the newer 4 stars are bad and more that the older 4 stars are just really strong.
I also think she's the best support for the Neuvillette and Furina team; competing well with Baizhu.
Severe ER needs are her downside…

With so much cryo healers you would think Cryo is the element of Life instead of Hydro as the Devs stated.
I think it is because cryo, the element, kind of sucks, reaction-wise. So devs don't really know what to do with it, especially for four stars, who aren't going to perform decent DPS regardless.
well the reason i use Diona is for DIona Shield tbh and additional heal + 200 EM if you have that cat at C6 that is quite good for some Dendro team, with Sacrificial Bow, got 2 shield, but damn I just love Charlotte voice

She’s an alternative yes but a very clunky one, she needs to do her 2second hold E in order to maximize her off field cryo app while the others just swap, EQ, then leave.

I got Charlotte C5 from this Banner and I'm already at 74 pity 😭 at least I was able to C6 both Collei and Beidou but I wanted Charlotte u.u

I would love to build Charlotte since her cryo application is pretty good, although her dmg is low despite being an atk scaler, along with her superb healing. But my problem is, I have Baizhu which is obviously the superior healer with Furina. And in a Wriothesley team, I would've use Shenhe and not have a 3rd cryo member. I can't find a spot to use her and I don't want to build a character I'll bench right away since there are many and potentially superior options. Perhaps if I have her C6 then I might.

I have used over 100 summons for furina and cant pull her let alone any 5 star. so my main is Kaeya right now this will be my first healer I am going to work on since I just started the game about a week ago. If I do Kaeya Charlotte and Xingqiu what do you recommend for a 4th char 4 star?
6:28 Incorrect. It doesn't set her apart from Qiqi. Qiqi can do full party healing when she auto attacks enemies while her skill is active.

I agree with everything you said in the video lmao. I'm semi-casual veteran player, I don't have Furina (yet) and I struggled a lot to think where to put Charlotte in a team outside dendro related team.
I know it's too early to judge new character, but Imho and very blunt opinion she's not worth it to raise if you're into meta or anything else. You'll be good to just use Kaeya and/or Rosaria for sub-dps/battery and Diona/Mika/Layla for healing/shielding. If only her skill works as coordinated attack and her burst last a bit longer or get additional duration via cons or something like how Collei's burst works, she's good to go. Not hating on her as character in the story but as playable character her kit is not that good. If you're going to use her anyways, more power to you King/Queen.
I’ve been playing with Wriothesely, yelan, furina, and Charlotte and been having fun with it. But I also have kazuha. Would it be better to swap yelan out for kazuha?

Charlotte is the best driver in the game for fridge teams.. Charlotte, yelan (or furnia), kazuha and nahida. Is what I run :) and works flawlessly
