    the super sawsall has an orbital setting, the switch at the top. Cuts way faster for demo work but is less precise, hence two settings. Its very durable and I like it more than the corded. The weight is a bit much for overhead work but usually a one handed hacksaw is better. I was going to buy a fuel sawsall but there is no point, the super is what always comes off the van first. I'll probably get a fuel sawsall when they do the 250$ of blades get a free fuel, I go through blades pretty quick so buying in a bulk and getting a free tool is just a bonus.
    Barrel grips can be turned upside down and used in that fashion. A good example would be to watch barrel jigsaws with the collins coping foot. I also think they are more dangerous, as its lock on lock off switch.

  • @adamfeatherstone9864
    @adamfeatherstone9864 4 года назад

    On the barrel grip m18 jig saw it does have two triggers. You can use one or the other. I prefer that one over the d handle one.

    Damn, video in the series I got the most out of. Want a sawzal and jigsaw and typically buy what Home Depot has. Your choices are spot on. Will be getting the main two for sure. Tool only tho.

    You don’t have to pull/ push both buttons on the barrel grip saw to turn on and off. It’s made for ease of use with left or right hand, just slide with tour thumb. Funny you own one and didn’t know this, then again you could probably school me on the automotive tools. I have both and the barrel grip is my choice. Nice video though.

    I can’t get enough of these videos! Thanks for doing them. I bought both the M18 Fuel Super Sawzall(Beast) and the M18 Fuel Hackzall(All Rounder) and never looked back. Both have their uses and neither have let me down. I’m curious to see what you decide stays inside your cabinets.

  • @PntBtrNjelus

    On the jigsaw that you own you only have to use one switch to turn it on, the reason they have a power switch on either side is for right and left handed people. Hope you see this

  • @martylucas8557
    @martylucas8557 4 года назад

    Ha, after owning the Hackzalls for a period of time you’ll end up doing all blade changes with your battery on. It’ll take both hands to change the blade with the quick change collet. One to turn the collet and the other to insert or take out the blade. You’ll never have your hands near the trigger!

      No it’s not, the side switch is a dial, for speed, the circular switch on the top activated orbital motion or deactivates it

      And yet if you look at the operating manual:
      www.manualslib.com/manual/516945/Milwaukee-M18-2645-20.html
      You’ll see that it is clearly called out as an Orbital Action Selector Lever.
      Thanks for making the time to comment...have a great day.

    I love the M18 Fuel Sawzall, its a beast at cutting through wood. A couple things to note though my dude, that guide at the front is also a cut depth setting so the blade won't stick out the other side of what you're cutting if needed and the adjustment for the rotating blade or they call it oscillating I think but it does cut through wood a bit faster. There are reviews on youtube to back that up. I have personally stayed away from the super one, had 2 other guys complain about them not working after a week and sending them in for repairs only for it to not work upon return....twice lol! I was so hyped for it too

    The adjustment On the side of the jigsaw that you couldn’t figure out. It’s a blower when using a jigsaw the dust will cover the line you’re trying to follow when you turn that on it’ll blow the dust away so you can see your line

    The hacksaws are meant for single handed tight spaced applications. The sawzalls are meant for larger demo applications. Barrel jigsaws are good for undercuts. D handle jigsaws are good for general ripping applications. Let the haters hate so much that they ask you when you're going to update the site next!

    With the super sawzall. Or any of the other sawzalls, do not use the 12 AH HD battery. I weight is too heavy an all the vibration will ruin the battery contacts, an the contacts where the battery goes.

  • @Piglet6256

    I always like the M18 Fuel ones best :) and as always i like the most expensive ones 😅. So for the first 4, I say the M18 Fuel which has a longer stroke length and more power. Super Sawzall!
    M18 fuel D handle Jigsaw! But i dont know what to use them for? the few times i would have the need for these its not worthwhile. I guess the M18 Fuel Hackzall only. I guess it depends on what you wanna saw and the frequency etc.

    Milwaukee is behind in woodworking unfortunately while they’ve focused on plumbing and other trades makita and dewalt have surpasses them, even in the category they invented, the Sawzall. That said most of us will be fine with any of them but the real pros or people who just want the best will struggle to pay a Milwaukee premium in woodworking.

  • @CycloneJL

    I cringe while watching Matt handling the Super Sawzall. I have feeling that Matt will very likely hurt himself while using the Super Sawzall. Even professional gardeners and construction workers can lose grip on a high power sawzall. You should get used to handling a low power corded reciprocating saw before using something like a super sawzall. It's not about being able to afford the tool. It's about the skills you have to use it safely.
