Watching the dragon in the loading screen reminds me the good old times, when we were admiring that one dragon in the loading screen, waiting for WoW to load back in Wrath of the Lich King…..so much memories 😢
Beautiful I stay staring at my log in screen just to listen to this before listening to valdrraken which is another masterpiece
At the beginning I didn't like it, but after listening to 7 hours of Dragonflight music my perspective completely changed. Every track is a masterpiece, and in my opinion it's the greatest theme and soundtrack of any WoW's expansion ever.
I love the addition of Scandinavian folk music, gorgeous, lush melodies, I love the addition of trumpet to indicate the Explorers' League, I love subtle, gentle, relaxing melodies - it's going to be so amazing exploring the Dragon Isles listening to such music.
10:36 is the part that makes me feel actual, real hope.
I’ve been looking all over online and can’t find anything on this, but from what I’ve been hearing with my long loading times is that there’s actually two different versions of the login screen music this expansion. After the initial part that released with the first phase of pre-patch (around 2:45), there are two different themes that could play and I just think that’s interesting and I can’t tell if anything else is different than that.
Sorted by moments when I felt something... A mixture of nostalgia, a desire to dive into Azeroth and discover the beauty of the Warcraft universe.

My login screen music top tier updated: Cata > Legion = BFA > Vanilla = DF > WoD = Shadowlands = Wotlk = Mop > TBC
I just can't agree with putting wod and tbc below vanilla. Other than that, spot on my friend.

Not the best, not the worst? Still irritated the soundtrack didn't come with the most expensive collector's edition yet.
Probably the worst. Pretty much nothing memorable. A lot of it sounds like it wasn't recorded live. Big departure from even the Shadowlands login music which was much better imo. Missing the memorable themes and interesting music/orchestrations. Its all good enough, but nothing truly great. Seems to have lost a lot the heart and soul the soundtracks had when Russel Brower was still working on the game.
@@DaricShire I'm remaining hopeful that it fits with game play, and the act of playing ties in context of why it's the way it is. I stay away from betas and early gameplay streams etc so I get the full experience and judge for myself so I could very well be completely wrong already. We shall see at launch!
@@DaricShire Shadowlands music overall was really good, and they kept a theme that made sense for the xpac and Warcraft as a whole. This disney/kids tv vibe is so off putting.
I dont feel it and getting bored, same feel as MoP/BfA.
This still doesn't sound great, but at least with it being complete I can hear the attempted effort being put in there. Very boring, generic, but for retail wow it works I guess. Personal score is a D.
Hopefully this time I don't attract the ire of that Nickolas guy that thinks all the themes from BFA to now are the next coming of beethoven.

Since BfA it's mostly been just a generic mix of the various tunes from the zones. Nice but without effort.

I... I don't understand how they did menage to do something even more generic than Shadowlands.
This one is more interesting than mists of pandaria, but the childish Disney theme they went for is just a slap in the face to long term Warcraft fans.

For the most part sounds like generic "hero music" from any Disney movie. Uninspired and forgetable. Sad to see even musical side of WOW fading away from its past glory.

The Music just sounds like something you'd hear in How to Train your Dragon, and GoT/HoTD. There are still bangers in DF, but I seriously think you were overestimating the theme and motifs the Expansions music would utilize.
It sounds like "generic Hero Music" and feels "disney esc" cause the whole point of the expansion is that we're back on Azeroth, we're adventuring and we're on a land full of Dragons. The point of this expac is to express optimism, etc. I mean, it's definitely not a bad theme whatsoever. Generic maybe, but that's the point...

@@preds43 You can't have a homecoming, back to Azeroth vibe with music that is incompatible with Warcraft as an IP. It's so jarring and ruins my immersion.

1:37 - 2:45 Is the worst "wow" music ever. This is Disney kids movies or the Dragon Training kids tv show. Hearing this is so jarring and really makes me forget I am playing "warcraft". Sucks to be a wow music fanboy when this is the shit we get. It only plays for a minute, but one drop of poison can ruin a glass of wine.
Cringe kids when the music is not overly dramatic
It's dangerously close to a hearthstone theme, which yea is made for kids, but it's not incredigly bad. And the themes that follow, the ones you also hear in forbiden reach are actually good.
Be careful boys, we got a badass over here.
