    Rachel Potter has played Ariel for Disney doing live performances... so, yes, she is the perfect Disney Princess voice.

    It's kind of amazing how Disney just brings out the kid in so many of us. 😂 We just go right back in time! Super fun reaction, guys! ❤

    Thanks for coming back to Voice Play and reacting to one of my favorite Disney medley that Voice Play does. As other commenters will tell you, this was an easy one for Rachel as she performed as Ariel in the little mermaid show at Disney world in Orlando for 5 years so she knew the song and character well (the challenge here for Rachel was she was very pregnant so her singing, breath control and costume were commendable). Rachel has been a long time friend of some of the members of Voice Play since their college days working at Orlando theme parks and does about a dozen covers and minis as a featured guest (definitely check out Rachel with them in "Phantom Of The Opera").

    There are quite a few collaborations with Rachel Potter - as you mentioned "Moana" also features Rachel - which was a few years back but definitely worth a watch! They also did the "top 10 aca series of Disney Heroes, Villains and Sidekicks " which is live. Having said that - VP doesn't do bad collabs - all their guest artists are top notch. Glad you enjoyed it - that is what VP does best - making everything they touch high quality and very entertaining. So much talent! 🌹🕊

    They did a great medley from Moana too, with a slight change of cast. Earl had not left at that stage and J.None hadn't joined them. VoicePlay are so much more than singers, with their acting and comedy skills, not to mention the arranging, filming and editing. It's hard to have a favourite of theirs but The Dragonborn Comes, from Skyrim, comes close.

    Rachel played Ariel at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show. She sang Part of Your World five days a week, seven times a day, for five years. She is also Vanessa's voice. Eli's costume portrays Flounder, and he sings Flotsam, Sebastian, and Scuttle. J. None is costumed as Sebastian and also sings as Jetsam and a snail. Layne is Chef Louis, and Geoff is playing "Geoffsula." Pay attention during Under the Sea: they mime the instrument they voice. The run on "poor unfortunate soul" goes from a D6 to a D2 - a four octave jump. After losing Ariel's voice, Geoff stays "dead" i. e., not moving or changing expression as he sings, until the lighting changes for the finale.

    I love this - Rachel was invited at one time to be a member. She's done a number of guest vocalists but she has moved to Nashville so we don't get to hear her as often. Try Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Greatest Showman, of course Moana, Attention, Chandelier, I Knew You Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me, O Holy Night, Sandy Claws.

    An amazing video. This was my first listen to an VOICEPLAY song, and I was hook. I had 3 kid when The Little Mermaid, so I kind of liked it. Before VoicePlay did this. And when they did, I was hooked. Great video, Guys. And Susie, you were singing along to this. We saw it. And speaking for just me, liked it. LOL.

    Voiceplay has a Disney playlist and a Rachel Potter playlist. She has collaborated with them more frequentlyover the last 10 or 12 years than anyone else.
    One of their Disney pieces was mind boggling, they did Hellfire from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. Absolutely mesmerizing.
    Did we mention that the bass, Geoff Castellucci, started a solo channel when Covid stopped Voiceplay from touring? Check him out.
    Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff.

    Two requests for y’all! Snow patrol singing oasis at v festival in 2009. Oasis were supposed to headline and they pulled out right before the show and shortly after broke up. Snow patrol went on and ended up playing a couple oasis songs and the crowd was insane. Also recommend oasis singing don’t look back in anger (Argentina 2009) if you haven’t done it. Absolutely insane crowd.

    I found all the antics of the female reactor very annoying. That’s ok. I don’t have to like everyone. There is enough reactions on youtube, we can all find something we like. Gave it a thumbs up anyway…because i appreciate anyone who appreciates VoicePlay. ❤

      She knew all the words just like my daughter and my granddaughter … shows the power and impact of Disney movies. Gotta sing the words! Where’s my spatula!

      @Starrynightdiner: Voice Play's Disney cover brought out her inner child as they often do-- nice to see her enjoying it. No need to bully her here.

      It's one of the things I love best about listening to reactors (she was spot on the lines and having so much fun) after I've already done VoicePlay's first shot at it and giving them the likes first.

    • @embran8486
      @embran8486 10 месяцев назад +3

      Really? She´s IMO like the perfect reactor while still hardcore fan. She knows every line, but does so in silence! And being a singer herself who´s used to throw herself, that likely took effort not to. Just for us audience!
