struggled with this exact problem for awhile, always been working on my takeaway hand path thinking that was causing that elbow getting behind etc, this explanation along with the feel of the core tight is a game changer for me. fallen in love with this channel the information provided is top class and allows us to understand the faults and how the swing works, rather than someone saying just swing to the right or feel the club drop down as a sort of quick fix that doesn't target the cause. world class coaching, cant thank you enough for allowing us to watch this content on here

Off season is almost here. Got down to a 4 cap and I have a very similar swing. Hands from top of backswing to directly at the ball. Have a very similar baby OTT move. Up to 7 iron I am great but the steepness has lead to a lot of unreliability and poor 75 yards and in. Thanks for video, time to get to work.
I shot a 93 today, which isn’t great but for me is the best done. My driver was getting me in trouble but I was able to make / save bogeys and a hand full of pars with some great irons shots . I’m striking the ball the better then ever before

Can I just say….the videos along with teaching me proper technique most of all and above anything else…..they give me confidence. Not just confidence that I’m doing the right things but the confidence to try the right thing….does that make sense?
Love your videos with them perfect swings. I understand clearly what keeping the hands in front of the body means. It's easy to do it when I'm not holding the club. But with the club, the arm muscles want to take over because of the club's weight. It's a real conscious effort.
This is the thing I struggle with. My backswing is 'under' and from the top I redirect onto a good plane but if I time that wrong I get things moving left and even well timed I find it hard to get consistent strike. Every time I try a backswing fix for this it feels so disconnected because I'm used to that feeling of my left arm pinned across my chest. Will give this drill a go. Feel vs real is a killer for this swing flaw. Thank you for the content
When you said “it’s a feel drill” going up the alignment stick then below it do you mean it’s just a temporary feeling and shouldn’t always swing that way ?
Thanks...great video....but there seem to be a lack of hand depth at the top of backswing.....isn't it difficult to shallow from there? Why not have more hand depth at the top so one does not need to reroute that much under ? Thanks
Is there a way to text you videos of my swing and have you analyze it? I look at videos of myself and it takes me 5 seconds to figure out what’s wrong but I just don’t know what drills or “feels” to implement to fix it. I’d love to pay to have you look it over for a few seconds and give me some drills/feels/tips. The mistakes I make are the most common ones (early extension in my lower body, no forward club lean at impact, over the top out to in club path, etc. so I’m sure you have a billion tips for those mistakes at your fingertips. Let me know if we can work something out!

Classic drill. Mike Bender uses a cone, but an alignment stick works too!
