Have several of BM's DVDs and have seen them live in Dallas. It was worth the 500 mile road trip. This is my most favorite BM song, As several have said, the song is from the perspective of the "other woman" knowing that her love is for a man who will never leave his wife. Print out the lyrics and listen to it again. I guarantee you'll be crying like a baby. What's sad is that this version cut out the 1:25 intro of just a music box playing. You could have heard a pin drop because of the audience's silence while it played. When you hear it, you can't help but imagine a young, heartbroken woman, laying on her bed, all alone, with the pink jewelry box she's had ever since she was a small child and watching the little ballerina spin around as the music box plays (little girl jewelry boxes like that might have been before your time). Yearning for those simpler, pain free times of her childhood. I believe it is an important part of the song. Julia Nilon did an analysis of the song that has the entire music box intro. ruclips.net/video/JS3wuuLOEMU/видео.html
You should listen to ( Without Holding Back and Giovanni) both instrumentals. Both are phenominal. Listening to this accustic version of Puzzle should be done as a duo set with Anemone.
I love BM acoustic! They slow it down, usually, and strip it down to just a cool, calm atmosphere and it really lets you hear how beautiful their voices are! To hear Miku with Akane backing vocals acoustic I would recommend ruclips.net/video/sGzAQigaL14/видео.html great acoustic song.
Such a beautiful, emotionally powerful song. It's even more meaningful when you're aware of the special relationship that the 2 share, which you can learn more about by watching the Kanami episode of Ohrenje's incredible BAND-MAID documentary series. For those out there who don't know about know, they are all top-notch and are really the best way to learn about the history of each member and the amazing story of how they got together. I think (know) that a great reaction for you to do is a comparison of the regular and acoustic versions of Sayonakidori. The latter is performed by the other 3 members, Miku, Misa and Akane. It's a great song, but the coolest thing is seeing the Little Pigeon take over lead guitar and vocals and totally nail it! Thanks again for another great reaction. 🤘🤩🤘
Band-Maid is the only current rock band, to my knowledge, capable of giving acoustic versions to some of their songs such as ballads like Anemone but not only that. They released in 2022 an acoustic Christmas album with 14 songs. The result is that these songs become another one while being the same. With a delicate melody played by Kanami and the clear and warm voice of Saiki who can express all his feelings, Puzzle simply tells the story of a tragic, hopeless love, experienced from the point of view of a young woman. This is why the lyrics and music fit together completely in a Band-Maid song. Without the translation we don't pay enough attention to it unfortunately. No other band has never made me vibrate with emotion as much as Band-Maid. Thanks guys.
Love ❤️ listening to this song especially that Kanami singing in this too with Saiki and Saiki voice is beautiful in this seeing them live was incredible experience if you ever get the chance to see them live do it worth every single penny they are amazing 🤩 live 😊🤘🇯🇵
This is an awesome song in so many ways, love it! Another one that you will likely enjoy is the acoustic version of "Smile". I think it is the first song written for/to the fans. Enjoyed this, thanks for the reaction and I look forward to more!
Again just the best band ever. A fun one to check out would be Band -Maid 's rivals Band -Maiko. WagakkiBand is a great Japanese band that is a little different than the others. Check out their video Homura + Akatsuki no Ito 1st Japan tour 2015.
Instrumental Maid is a fan channel but the monetization is all directed to Band-Maid. There are some bangers on that channel. Have a listen to the Christmas acoustic concert segments Catharsis and Sayonakidori on the Band-Maid YT channel and it just high lights how incredibly gifted they are as musicians.
I haven't read all of the comments but I am fairly sure that someone has mentioned that Band-Maid released an Acoustic Online Okyuji (serving or concert) as a Christmas 2021 present to us fans. There are a few songs from it on their RUclips channel. I am not sure if the entire okyuji is still available but you should try to get it if at all possible. They do some songs with the complete band and also split into various groups of band members for some songs. It is pretty incredible how they reimagined and rearranged their songs to work acoustically.
What a band! I can't even think of that last time the electric and acoustic versions of a song both made me feel as much - and in totally different ways. And THANK YOU for understanding that you don't need to know the words to feel and enjoy the music. So many people I've tried to get to listen to them can't get past it "not being in English" - very frustrating.
Glad you guys picked up on Band-Maid because- you give them the love and respect that they deserve. There are two songs in this video, the other is Anemone which you can react to late.
They followed this with acoustic Anemone and it hits WAAAAY harder emotionally. So damn beautiful. Saiki actually gets kinda overcome towards the end, it’s really poignant.💪🏻🤘🏻
BD has hidden Easter eggs all around... same song, different arrangements, orchestration... multiplies their opus. Sayonakidori: album version (no video) - Christmas 21 acoustic - live version... my favorite: Awkward: (album, no video) - Christmas acoustic / Akasimahen (Band Maiko version) - live Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017. Same song, but it goes in four directions... * Band Maiko, the group's alter ego, is a special category Easter egg Cool way would be parallel reactions of two songs, or two different versions of the same song: Manners / Black Hole (live) Awkward / Akasimahen...
Oh and I can cure your addiction to acoustic guitars - just listen to my playing! Seriously though, during Covid's worst days, they gave us a Christmas acoustic show, about an hour and 15 minutes long, and it was the best Christmas gift I ever got. Saiki's voice was even better than here, since like the rest of them, she's only gotten better and better over the years - and Miku's acoustic version of Sayonakidori was super duper impressive for our 810 year old pigeon. There is a song on their channel from that show (Catharsis) which I'd highly recommend, and if you have a way to watch the rest of it, boy you don't want to miss it!
Kanami can sing even took singing lessons but doesn’t like to sing which makes saiki the best for her she likes to sing but is shy but on stage a switch is flipped and you wouldn’t know she was shy at all after watching the documentary on saiki what she’s been through and and came out even stronger songs like daydreaming and about us and memorable all gets me teary eyed …. Without holding back and don’t be long are the other instrumentals that you haven’t reacted to yet 🤘🏻🫶🏼🤘🏻
There are over 30 videos on the 'Instrumental Maid' channel. You will love the 'White Room' instrumentals on there. They were released with the original songbook music scores so that people could easily learn to play their songs. There are also a couple of full sets on there too. As well as recordings you won't see on their other channels.
Try SYANOKIDORI next. Sorry if I spelled that incorrectly. Miku sings this one and there are a number of other acoustic pieces from their online acoustic Christmas show several years ago. I think you'll really like all of them.
Another beautiful acoustic song is "Sayonakidori" by Miku Kobato. BUT you should pair it with the Full Roar version also by Miku Kobato. As with "Puzzle" Miku wrote the lyrics. All reactor's should react to Miku's solos.
Instrumental Maid is not an official Band-Maid channel - they have just the one YT channel - but it is that most wonderful of things, a fan site dedicated to editing and posting Band-Maid performances that aren't on their site or are hard to find (click on my YT avatar if you want to see many Band-Maid rarities as that is what I mostly post, along with other B-M stuff and links to my other B-M sites on various platforms. And please feel free to react to anything on there - it would be an honour!). 🤘This acoustic version of Puzzle used to be on the official channel, along with ANEMONE, which is an even more moving song and was played immediately after this at this great gig. They removed them both about 5 years ago (no-one seems to know why) and ANEMONE is now only generally available to view on a Chinese channel...which is why I bought all their concert DVD's over the years! 🤘However, if you enjoy acoustic performances, Band-Maid did perform a 14 song acoustic set and streamed it on xmas day 2021 and there are 2 songs from it on their YT channel - CATHARSIS, where all the band play, and SAYONAKIDORI, where only 3 play - Miku on vocals and acoustic guitar, Akane on drums and backing vocals and MISA on electric bass. It's a masterpiece ( ruclips.net/video/sGzAQigaL14/видео.htmlsi=8jhJSpvNxyz2RisX ) and will let you fully appreciate Miku's guitar and vocal work - as well as the rare sight of Akane singing harmonies!
Another great reaction. Well played. Please check out Band Maid - Anemone ( acoustic version)too. A very emotional song. It does highlight Saiki’s vocal range. While your at it, as your Mexican background etc. please check out Band Maids friends ( just finished a tour in Japan with them) The Warning who hail from Mexico. They are something else. Take your pick with any of their songs. I suggest Choke to start off with.
Wonderful reaction thanks. Another great duo is the full band version of Sayonakidori then the Acoustic version. Miku is the star of this song and her acoustic also had me misty eyed.
I asked for the Gacharic Spin reactions but Band-Maid and The Warning are the two best bands of our time. I’m looking forward to a reaction to The Warning. Today Kanami posted a message of congratulations to The Warning for their new album.
Don't worry about a little eye leakage, I'm a big hairy-arsed Yorkshireman and they get me every time. Puzzle is also my favourite song, both versions. I am the product of a relationship like the one she's singing about and Miku's lyrics nail it. Another thing that makes me sad is the fact that Kanami doesn't like to sing because I would love to hear her front a song. C'mon Mincho, Saiki nervously played piano in front of 17,000 people, you're not going to be outdone are you?
I absolutely love both versions, but this one might be my favorite since I love Saiki's voice and you get to clearly hear the emotion in her voice in this version. I aslo love Kanami's beautiful command of the guitar on this one. BTW you can click on the "CC" buttons or app down at the lower right corner to get closed caps. I think it could only be Saiki who could get Kanami to sing with her and she knocks it out of the park. She has a surprisingly delicate voice. I hope to hear more of it in the future, but Saiki has the most wonderful voice. Originally I wasn't sure I liked it, but now I can't wait for her to sing. I just love her power and her ability to bring emotions of anguish, love , anger, hate and excitement into her parts of the overall music! I almost forgot to say what a great jobe you did in this reaction. Way to go guys!!!!!
Hi guys, I’m enjoying your reactions. I love all things Band-Maid. I believe there are a couple of bands that not only are they fantastic groups but I believe their fans will boost your subscribers. The first is the Ukrainian band Jinjer. They will blow your minds. Most reactors start with the live session of “Pisces” The other is a group called The Warning. They are three young sisters from Monterey Mexico. They are phenomenal and everywhere. They have played with many of the best rock bands around the world. They are friends with Band-Maid and have recently played some shows with them in Japan. They are selling out their own shows, were featured on the last VMAs and performed 2 songs on the Jimmy Kimmel show. I suggest jumping in with them with one of the songs off of their new album. The song is called “Automatic Sun” Sorry about that long comment but I am really passionate about these bands. As always, cheers from Texas ! 🇨🇱🤘🏻😎
as most Maidiacs know Kanami is very much in love with Sai-chan, has stated in several interviews that she would like to marry her, when the two perform together you can feel it
I enjoyed your reaction very much, especially from the beautiful lady from Mexico. I could feel you were channelling yourself into the core of the song without understanding the language. That's a beautiful thing. Obviously Band-Maid Have done 2 full acoustic concert one in 2021 (Christmas okyuji) and this year. Plus a few acoustic performance on stage. They performed "different" acoustic version by Saiki and Kanami. They also did Anemone, which they performed in this concert after puzzle, but with Saiki's improved vocal. They occasionally include acoustic guitar parts in a few songs to give a particular feel.
I love the fact that this band can do separate versions of the same song that have totally different vibes but are still the same song. And each is as good as the other. The original version of this song is full of anger while the acoustic version is full of pain and longing. Great reaction. If you can, find the acoustic version of Manners from their online Christmas Acoustic concert. It is on Band Maid Prime. Amazing version of this song. The same but still very different.
This is a fantastic song. And fantastic reaction. Can't lie though, I was waiting for the waterworks from Princess Sophia, that ugly cry face.😂 Saiki and Kanami, are a great combo. I really love hearing Kanami harmonizing with Saiki. And to think, Kanami rather not sing...at least vocally as she sure a heck sings on the guitar! Keep on the journey...and looking forward to your next Band-Maid reaction. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘 Instrumental Maid is not an Official Band-Maid site, but people listen to and react to what's posted there. Pony Canyon seems to be very lenient with sites posting music not released on their official site. The only time I'm aware of Pony Canyon striking anyone was a recent incident which involved a non-released song. And in that case, I think they were well within their rights. Can you imagine what Disney would do if someone posted a not release Marvel or Star Wars movie? Lawyer would be busting down doors...🤣 But I believe once the digital registrations were done, it seems to be OK. Not a lawyer so just my 2 yen opinion and information.
If you had to pick a song to relisten to, in your own time, might I suggest this one WITH LYRICS. The music changes the emotional meaning of the words. You think just any band are doing this? Or even can or will do this? Greatest Proper rock and roll band of the 21st century. Hyperbole be damned. It is as true a statement as I can make.
How different is this from the full Band Maid version?! I’m known for comparing the dramatic change to those of Clapton’s “Layla.” It’s that wildly different. The Instrumental Maid channel, like Ohrenje, is fan made content produced out of love for the Maids. He is subscriber supported and goes out of his way to promote only material that isn’t harmful to the band or their label. You will appreciate little Kanami even more after the documentaries. She doesn’t care to sing, but took lessons to make herself more valuable. She also has “relative pitch,” (not to be confused with perfect pitch) which makes her the perfect harmonizer. Miku has even been seen using Kanami’s voice as a guitar tuner. Seriously. As a Latina, in your free time for fun, please check out a couple fan cams from either of the okiyujis Band Maid did in Mexico City. Saiki makes it no secret that she thinks the Mexican fans are the loudest and most energetic in the world. “Don’t you tell ME” is my favorite because Saiki pretty much doesn’t even have to sing much because the fans do it for her 😂
I love how Kanami plays around with the chords in this. And she and Saiki singing together is a treat to the ears! I’m not sure if this is the word you were trying to use to describe this but stripped down acoustic versions like this feel more “intimate” to me!
Forgot to ask in the last video... is Cody going for an Amish look? lol Oh... I believe Band-Maid Instrumental (Instrumental Maid) is a Band-Maid Superfan. It's not an official channel. (I'm not entirely sure!) But he/she is pretty good at not posting current material so... I think... nothing to worry about? I hope!
Kanami is good as always ( she is also a good singer ), but this is the masterpiece of Saiki. Rarely you can find a singer/song who let's you feel the song so intense, you can hear her pain through the song I never heard her sing a song like this before and after. BTW all of them are good singers, only Akane does it more rare than Kanami and if you hear Misa sing you are really lucky ( but her voice is also nice ).
The song is about a girl who falls in love with a married man knowing that he will never leave his wife. The next song Anemone is even more emotional and even the ice queen looks like she's started crying and when the song is over she gets up abruptly and just leaves. Why not try BAND-MAIDS response to covid. It's called ABOUT US and Saiki will make you feel sad I guarantee you.
The thing that kills me is how the band used that intricate, bombastic rock song to portray a woman's anger and frustration about being "the other woman" but then Kanami and Saiki, with just an acoustic guitar, completely flip the same song to show the other side of that anger, the loneliness and the sadness. That is some next-level shit, right there. And Sophia, let me say that you have a better command of your second language than most folks who use it as their primary means of communication, myself included.
Ssoooo nothing about the first time hearing mincho singing ? Her backing vocals are beautiful these two women will be around long after bandmaid is gone and that is close at hand

🤘🤩🤘
This just proves you can write any simple acoustic song, and turn it into a full band technically complex rocker!!! 🤘
It is pretty incredible how they reimagined and rearranged their songs to work acoustically.
beatiful
Sayonakidori: album version (no video) - Christmas 21 acoustic - live version...
my favorite:
Awkward: (album, no video) - Christmas acoustic / Akasimahen (Band Maiko version) - live Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017.
Same song, but it goes in four directions...
* Band Maiko, the group's alter ego, is a special category Easter egg
Cool way would be parallel reactions of two songs, or two different versions of the same song:
Manners / Black Hole (live)
Awkward / Akasimahen...
Such an amazing version of this song. It very well show case Saiki talent. And who knew that Kanami was such a great singer as well.
BAND MAID and THE WARNING together!!!! - ruclips.net/video/Xsa_MzJUOmI/видео.html
There are over 30 videos on the 'Instrumental Maid' channel. You will love the 'White Room' instrumentals on there. They were released with the original songbook music scores so that people could easily learn to play their songs. There are also a couple of full sets on there too. As well as recordings you won't see on their other channels.
A song that really spoke to me the first time I heard it was Versailles - Faith and decision.
Band-Maid put this whole concert on RUclips for Christmas it's so so good ❤❤❤
Great reaction... My favs acoustics song is Sayokinadori... Have nice day 👍👍
モオー彼女たちは、皆で心地よい歌、音楽創り、ハマったら抜け出せない❤です。
I know they are on my list! We were supposed to do them but then I got sick haha just finishing one last request then going to record that reaction!
The fact that this band and beer exists in this world almost has me believing in miracles, what a fcken band Po 👍🍻
Kanami's voice reminds me of 90s alt-pop singers like Lisa Loeb or Julianna Hatfield.
Kanami the fairy... I feel a new poem being born...
Haunting melody...
sweet tone fairy guitar rings,
Kanamincho's heart breeze...
Kobato / Tono are going to be remembered for a loooooong time.
Hi guys, I’m enjoying your reactions. I love all things Band-Maid.
I believe there are a couple of bands that not only are they fantastic groups but I believe their fans will boost your subscribers. The first is the Ukrainian band Jinjer. They will blow your minds. Most reactors start with the live session of “Pisces”
The other is a group called The Warning. The song is called “Automatic Sun”
Sorry about that long comment but I am really passionate about these bands.
Saiki is singing, Kanami is playing guitar (and also singing by the way!). What can be better? Thanks for your reaction.
PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Instrumental Maid is not an Official Band-Maid site, but people listen to and react to what's posted there.
They just released a new song Protect You, just a heads up!
Nice reaction i love this girls
Funny there is a song call wonderland check it out
How different is this from the full Band Maid version?!
“Don’t you tell ME” is my favorite because Saiki pretty much doesn’t even have to sing much because the fans do it for her 😂
Sadly one of the few times you hear Mincho sing... this version really expresses the heartbreak of the lyrics.
I love how Kanami plays around with the chords in this. And she and Saiki singing together is a treat to the ears!
I’m not sure if this is the word you were trying to use to describe this but stripped down acoustic versions like this feel more “intimate” to me!
Here's your chance to react to a new release! Look for "Protect You." Dropped this morning. 🕊️
Next I'd suggest Sayonakadori original version and acoustic.
The Onion Ninjas always show up when this song is played.
Kanami🥰
Instrumental page is a fan page beware though some of those could get you a strike from record industry
It's a shame that Kanami doesn't sing more, she has a lovely voice.
Forgot to ask in the last video... is Cody going for an Amish look? lol
Oh... I believe Band-Maid Instrumental (Instrumental Maid) is a Band-Maid Superfan. It's not an official channel. (I'm not entirely sure!) But he/she is pretty good at not posting current material so... I think... nothing to worry about? I hope!
@@TlanImass hahahahahhahhahahah I tell him he looks Amish when he wears that hat 😂😂😂😂
Please also feel the beauty of the Japanese language.
Kanami is good as always ( she is also a good singer ), but this is the masterpiece of Saiki. Rarely you can find a singer/song who let's you feel the song so intense, you can hear her pain through the song
I never heard her sing a song like this before and after.
Mku singw Sayonakidori Acoustic
I believe Anenome acoustic is more sad than this one. Saiki starts to tear up toward the end of the song and has to leave that stage
React to Daydream
Those dingbats from the other day who said she couldn't sing, c'mon man!
So you guys disappeared, wondering if you're ever coming back
That yt page is just a fan page. Not associated with them at all. That said. The song after this is Anemone acoustic. Must listen
This is a fan posting if a video BAND-MAID has not put on RUclips, i .e., it’s a bootleg.
Of course, Juan Gabriel and Cristian Castro are examples of very tough and macho Mexicans, come on, be serious.😉
@@COTTERO 😂😂
They are the very best.
Kanami on her $4,000 Alvarez acoustic?
