Looking good. Love your idea for an aerator. I put one in in 2015. Lost it in 2017 to excessive heat and not enough water. Got it back in 2019 lost it in 2021 to over dose of insecticide. Just sanded and over seeded on Friday. I would post a photo but cannot see a place to add one.
I am going a little larger in that I am installing a croquet court. I have a mixture of bermuda and whatever blew in and took root over the years. I want to install a new sod using bermuda (Ft.Worth Tx) which is very suitable here. Question is which is the best way to go... lay the new sod on top of the current grass... I have a tiller and roller... I could till under the existing grass and lay sod on top of that... or do I need to completely remove what I can before laying the sod? I am planning on using new topsoil to make the court as level as possible. It is actually fairly level but I want it as smooth as I can possibly make it. Any thoughts?
What kind of grass? I have centipede in coastal nc but thinking my green will be bermuda. Any suggestions on seed type/ hybrid type seed? Thanks for the videos... very helpful
Dude this is my dream I REALLY want to put one in my back yard. Also...questionable choice in beer? Or maybe it was the best choice who knows. Love the vid keep it up man ✌️
Go for it man! Now that I've got mine in good enough shape to put and chip, I am loving it. The kids are having a blast as well. Corona is my summertime beer of choice. Don't go knocking it, even with the virus going around!
Well, get 2 of each! Ha ha, thanks BB. I really do love the shoes, I'm trying to get Academy to get their stuff together so I link to them via my videos. Best lawn shoe I've had.
Try your 3 inch holes compared to 12 inch deep, its called vertidrain by toro, you can do solid tine, hollow or drill tines. You really should be doing drill and fill though by yourself. Drill 12 in he's deep and replace that with sand
Do you use a different mower for outside the green or do you just change the HOC between the two sections? Keep topdressing and it’ll be tip top in no time. Congrats on the 1k subs!
hi ,We are a manual lawn aerator maker, we made a no clogging manual lawn aerator which can used on liquid aera .if you can take videos for your fans, we can bring sampler for free.
Proper aeration needs to have material removed. The type of tool you’re using is not correct.. think about this, when you’re pushing that spike in the ground, the soil is being compacted around the spike…
Don't do it this way people. Do it the right way or semi the right like the USGA calls for, proper drainage and a 90% sand with 10% peat as your rootzone mix, that should be 12 inches deep.
Very interested how this comes out. Doing something similar myself in the UK
Thanks Mark! It's fun to do something a little different and make the neighbors even more jealous.
First you have to love golf I love it thanks

@@reelbobshady7458 for real! What is the brand/model of those shoes?
Assuming you don’t have irrigation under the green? Not worried about poking it with the aerator?

Miss your content. Hopefully you’ll start uploading stuff again.
where do you get your products? trying to build one myself

Andrew P. Yeah I adjust the HOC between. Thanks man!
Where are you located looks like Texas?
I know I’m a little late to the party but it looked like you needed more sand?
I would call that a spike more than an aerator, no? Pulling plugs loosen the dirt, you're kinda just making holes. Was that your intent?
You are not bringing soil out.. just pushing it and adding more. That would cause more compaction in long run.
Where are you located? Great series 👍
I am in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The grass itself - Zoysia?

Quick tip never mix raw nutrients together always add water first
PPE hahahahaha... silly man!
Gonna be bumpy if those holes aren’t filled to the top
Yeah I need to get a little bit more sand. But, bermuda will also close those gaps in a week.
Kinda surprised people are still drinking Corona beer.
Sam Clemons I love it! I’ll take it all.

Wait, ar eyou really mixing chemicals in the kitchen where you prepare food?
Wow!
first
Thanks John!
I prefer not to mix my toxic chemicals where I prepare my child's food.
I would not recommend, at all, doing any kind of chemicals on kitchen where prepare our meals and eat.
