Tavares is always the symbol of the intensity the Leafs need to go further in the playoffs. Who can be surprised that he scored the OT goal that moved them forward two years ago? The other core guys need to catch up with him, if Leafs are to really go anywhere.

@sirgoldierocks It WAS 5-0. They were great at times but their defense is still lacking too much. It also doesn't help when certain players take unnecessary penalties. Some far more than others
@@jeffreycairns767 I agree, don’t let off the gas just because you had a 5-0 lead. The defence needs to push themselves throughout the game and keep the pressure on the other team.

Most can't think see or think for themselves, these days. True fans seem to be a thing of the past, for the most part. I only respect real hockey fans, regardless of what team they cheer for. The fact that you didn't feel the need to immediately insult the Leafs means I respect you. It may not mean much but it would be nice to have more like us. We don't need to love each other or each other's team to respect one another

Although it's better, their defense is still very much lacking, guys like Nylander are useless 95% of the time, they over play guys like Marner, take far too many stupid penalties, have alot of trouble clearing the puck from their zone, and far too many other teams that are better all around. Tanev is the only d man I trust but he can't do it alone. Why they played Woll tonight when they play Washington tomorrow is beyond me. Not to mention leaving Nylander on the full PP, especially for 5 straight minutes. They need Matthews back and to change up the lines. Plus, they need more help on the back end. Reilly is not cutting it most games
