- moves 5 blocks - compass hardly changes "it must be right here" To be fair, from my experience even real compasses seem woefully unintuitive to people who've never used them.
Thank you for the compilation X! BUT you might want to leave in the segments, where you're down in the shop, buying cards. I think the Deck-Building aspect is just as important to us, as the actual runs.^^
I really hope more hermits do it like this. Include some of the key runs and highlights in a main channel video, then upload all the runs for a phase on a second channel
Man as someone who’s watched all of tango’s videos/ most streams it’s so hard to see you struggle with map/ game knowledge in the early runs. Few hints 1: every off shoot or dead end can spawn treasure. 2: Pick up every berry bush 3: luring ravengers into hallways that can close due to hazard is a great way to isolate them and make escaping at the end more likely. 4: spots that generate clank change each run. 5: ember seekers will help you slightly but there are plenty of better ember cards later. Don’t waste your embers on them 6: look into the spots with see through ice. They may hold a secret or two. 7: *spoiler* || the death room after the shop has a button in it that opens a iron door. ||Good luck 😂
Oh wow that's painful and I didn't even notice it. I noticed one before, at 47:47, and got slightly frustrated that he didn't pick it up. They are quite easy to miss which I guess adds to them.
Its painful watching them play because they all have some combination of severe tunnel vision, not knowing how to do basic parkour, not knowing how a compass works, not remembering their way back, or not knowing how to lure the ravagers. I know its mostly from fear/tension that was wonderfully done by tango, as well as not knowing the game well, but it doesn't make it any less painful when they make simple mistakes with big consequences lol
I counted 6 times he walked past treasure, only 4 if you don't count when he walked past the SAME treasure. I also didn't count the times he missed a key cuz he couldn't use those
Your compass skills are killing me X. But the runs are super entertaining! I would like to see what you buy when you exit with an artifact. I'm definitely interested how hermits are building decks too.
Reading the compass is reading the compass, its not really needing you to understand the map well, I mean I can tell the exact block where the compass should be, no need to test several blocks 😭
@khairilfalaa8314 its really painful when theyre standing against a wall, and the compass is pointing through the wall, and they constantly throw it at their feet anyhow. Lol
Loving all the Decked Out right now! Can’t wait to see all the hermits first time experiences! Now for some advice! X, you’re tunnel visioned too hard on the compass. Got to keep in mind ‘spacial awareness.’ Finding your artifact is meaningless if you’re not safe first. Make sure you’re safe to focus on the compass. Then start looking. Examine the new rooms you enter. They will inform you of your possible compass locations and routes for exit and escape. You followed the compass too hard at some points and failed to notice exits, entrances, staircases, and ravagers nearby. It’s good strategy to make note of your potential exit routes before you have to run away. Plan for the worst and keep you’re escape path in mind.
X, these are wonderful!! And I hope next phase you show us what you pick in the shop, or what the cards in your deck are! It's super interesting to see what choices hermits make
I hope that Tango comps your shard for run 4, where you died to vex. That was a system glitch he had to fix. The evoker shouldn’t have been able to see you to spawn vex. Loving this so far!!
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading your runs, Xisuma!! I personally would love to see your deck building thought process as well as the runs. Also, it seemed like the Decked Out sounds were super quiet for us, so maybe making sure we can hear them to get us in the mood and feeling of the game too!! Thanks again for all your hard work!
X, i love your verbal processing during the runs! It's great to hear your mind at work - although your narrow escape at the end of run 6 made me jump out of my seat! 😂
No matter how mange runs of DO2 I've seen, I always want to see more! I think I've seen at least half of these already (from Tango's perspective, partially), but seeing them again from your own perspective was really interesting and entertaining! Can't wait for more!
This is great X but I’d love to see your decisions on how you build you deck after a successful escape! So if you could run it slightly longer to see how you spend your embers would be great! Cheers for this edit though 🎉
Great idea to show all the runs in one video. I think the ingame-sound is a little quiet though. Maybe tune it up a little for the next time, so we can also hear the cards, the heart beat, etc...
@@xisumavoid Itsd easy to get tunnel vision when you dont know the map layout. i suspect as you get comfortable with knowing your way around the map, itll be easier to spot the treasure
Great runs X, the difficulty is based in how far you go, therefore staying longer in the dungeon, if you can build a deck with that purpose you will be heading level 2, 3 and 4(when open) as if it was easy mode, and as Tango says, “hazard kills”
Thanks for sharing your runs. Saw Tangos perspective of them. It's totally different and cool watching from yours. I think you did awesome on all your runs. The main thing is that you are getting more familiar with the area and have been improving each time. Would love to see more for each of the phases.
yess we want unedited decked out runs!! but please include the frost embers shop bit at the end: it connects the runs, shows changes in your deck and helps understand the strategy edit: just saw the answer to the other comment, glad you're taking feedback
This is a great format! Can't wait to see it for future weeks. Agree that when you survive, I'd love to see a clip of what you buy. Or more info of what cards you're playing, once that gets interesting
I know xisuma probably watched his runs again, but it was funny how in the last one he says basically: "its a bummer i didnt get more treasure" as he is walking past treasure on the ground
the amount of treasure you ran past pained me. Especially the one where your saying it would be nice to get one more as there was one on the floor in front of you lol
X: *literally sees a set of stairs going up* Also X one minute later: wow I guess there's no way up above here Not to mention the moment at the end where he basically said "if only I found one more piece of treasure" while being about 3 blocks away from a fourth piece
I love how most struggle with something as simple as a compass, not in a bad way though.... It's fun to explore and discover along with them. Like we can almost dream the layout from Tango's stream, so fun to see their reactions, and how into it they are... Perhaps ambiance sounds are too low....?
hi x!! thanks for uploading your runs!! i've been watching tango's pov and seeing it in first person afterwards is super interesting 😊 looking forward to seeing how you go in phase 2!! Also i may be incorrect but i think tango said in the how to video that extra shards would be given to those who are at the bottom of the end of a phase to help give them a leg up rather than getting more for being on top!
Hey x, awesome content, it's interesting to see your deck and what cards you get man, so don't feel you have to cut those out unless you don't want them!
This is just mind blowing 🤯 I thought DO season 7 was cool but this goes to whole new level. A nice easy warm up X, here's to more brilliant runs 🏃♂️ 👏
Thanks for adding the runs on here, but if you could include the shop portion or show the deck before hopping in the minecart so we can see what you're running would be awesome. Glad all the hermits are enjoying it so much!
Love decked out. You're doing so well. However you would benefit from compass school... If you have you say "Maybe I'll try here and there and here..." then your missing the turn around signal. Love your stuff anyhow! (A compass will flip 180 when you are on the correct block, when your character hasn't turned their head only moved forward.)
I know that in the first leg of the minecart track into the game Tango had planned on having a Ravenger chase the player until the drop into the second leg, but I have yet to see any players looking backward. I wonder if he ever put that in there or not. I've not heard him mention it since the beginning and no one 's mentioned seeing it following them, but it was supposed to give an Indiana Jones vibe with something chasing down the path.
I love that you made a video of all the uncut runs! Could you also include the card purchases and deck building next time so we know what cards you have?
ex you did great! just make sure to watch for treasure :) you often pass coins and stuff on the ground. In run 11 for example, I counted 3 missed coins on the ground and another 2 multiple coin drops. I think with the 3 coins you already had, you would have gotten at least 2 crowns out of it with those left behind
If there's one thing we've learned from DO2 it's that nearly every single hermit needs compass using lessons 😂
100% it was painful to see this.
Yessss, its not that hard, yet they are struggling, I mean struggling mann 😭
- moves 5 blocks
- compass hardly changes
"it must be right here"
To be fair, from my experience even real compasses seem woefully unintuitive to people who've never used them.
Waiting room training floor with different height with off and actual penalty for putting compass in wrong spot
That and shifting on magma

Noted - it was a bit "I dont know whats going on here" so I cut it out. Ill include it all next phase.
