I'm in a university rn, and by no means a small university, it ranks #2 in our country and our teacher taught exactly this whole course but over the span of six months and that too lazily, I thank you for putting this up for free. By no means do I plan on doing rigging as a career but it's good to learn it!
This is a great tutorial, I was supposed to learn all this stuff in my 3-D two class but instead, they just really focused on animation, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. That was an amazing class. I love working in Maya, even when Maya hates me.
Wow! You are a respected teacher. You did very hard work for us with great patience. This tutorial was speechless. The best thing is that you taught us only by your own voice commands step by step. While some other nice hardworking teacher wastes their best tutorial by boring background worthless music. We only need your lecture with voice commands which you sent us. thanks
Have thanked you recently but have to come back again in the comments and do it again. This is the third character I've rigged while following your tutorial. We appreciate you!
Well thank you so much ! I'm new to maya and i'm learning all alone and this is so helpful..this is a gift to me continue the good work, love your videos
I love your tutorials. Getting back into rigging after a long time so this re-fresher is great! BTW I really liked the Duplicate+Group+Scale X -1 to mirror trick! I did not know that one! Thanks again for the great tutorials. Good job!
Question, After we freeze transformations on the controls the pivots change to world orientation, which is different from the joint pivot orientation, shouldn't our controls follow the joint orientation to make rotating the arms more intuitive. Is there a way to freeze transformation and match the control orientation to the joint rotation orientation?
Hello mam your videos have been so helpful to me! Thank you for being one of the few amazing open sources available , can you make mechanical rig tutorial and advance rigging tutorials it would we a great help .
hi i would be glad if you reply to this so i have done rigging,ik and fk handles are done from your tutorials but now i am facing a problem where by i cant rotate my characters full body if i try my character deforms so please help what to do if you want to make a video on that it will prove helpful also
Hey the tutorial is amazing I have to thank you for this series, it helped me a lot, but I could not manage to create an IK rig for the arm that could also manipulate the finger attributes. Could you please help me with this?
Did you delete your history or freeze your transformations in your blenshapes? If you did, then that's what did it. Blendshapes need the history (connection to original mesh) and translations. You might need to recreate them. Sorry!
Thank you for these tuto, it's really easy to follow! Can I ask you why you've chosen the A pose over the T pose for your character? I heard A is recommended but I never knew why.
Thanks George! Glad you liked it! Muscles and skin are advanced and beyond the scope for this tutorial. Sorry! I hope you find what you are looking for.

Monica you da best!
You are too kind, Oscar! Thank you so much for watching and the support. :)

You are most welcome!
what is the reason of vanishing bone between joint as i parent joints with controls?
why my control axis is not oriented according to the joint axis?
I love the sounds you make whilst playing with the rig. Plus I love your voice
Settle down there cowboy
Why are you not using the "snap to center" when you plasing joints?
Hey the tutorial is amazing I have to thank you for this series, it helped me a lot, but I could not manage to create an IK rig for the arm that could also manipulate the finger attributes. Could you please help me with this?

Hello mam i have some problem, when i use some deform faces using blendshape then my character face face unbind from main control

Somehow after I set the first key for an animation the control handles are just getting ignored... is there a reason/fix for this?
Thank you for these tuto, it's really easy to follow!
Can I ask you why you've chosen the A pose over the T pose for your character? I heard A is recommended but I never knew why.
you are awesome, love your tutorial. can you show us how to rig skeleton muscle and the skin together?
Thanks George! Glad you liked it! Muscles and skin are advanced and beyond the scope for this tutorial. Sorry! I hope you find what you are looking for.
Thanks
can you make a video on how to unbind the joint to the skin? so that I can change the position of my joint :(
You can click on the mesh, and in skin, choose Unbind Skin. That will remove your bind to the skin. Hope that helps!
Thnks for this
Thank YOU Ankit! :)
I LOVE YOU😍😍😍😘😘😘
