That’s quite an interesting house. Very unique layout and so many rooms. The wood trim was nice as was the stone arch and the stone fireplace. With a little repair and a bit of updating the house could be a treasure again. Love the kitchen space. Some of the light fixtures were pretty cool like the one at top of stairs. Imagine if all the crystals were polished and the chandelier cleaned up a bit, the sparkle would be stunning. Love the balcony with the lake view that I would never tire of. Thank you for this epic adventure Ethan. Wish this house could be saved. Take care be well and stay safe!

The boxes you are seeing throughout the house are radiator covers which were very popular in the 70-80s. They reduced the output but people didn’t like the bare radiators throughout the house.

Awesome House. I love the bedrooms and the glass porch. I wonder why all these Houses flood ? Why do they not build them with better drainage ? This is so unique no Cookie Cutter House here. I would House all the Homeless Cats in that glass porch room. I can just picture it Cat Trees and beds and I would put a little fridge out there and sit out there with them all.

So much nostalgia Ethan. Wow I got inspired by the valances ?! Hmmm 🤔 I think I could incorporate some in my apt in Manhattan?? 😊would be a nice look?? Drapes are so beautiful as well. In some mansions you still see them those long gorgeous heavy drapes that look chic. I love the purple in the spots of the house the moulding around the doors 🚪 beautiful 😍 all that sun exposure also so warm. And the open patio with the groovy kitchen?!! I really hope that someone saves them? Also Ethan you could be a top seller of houses in real estate with your passion for architecture. I did it for sometime in nyc and loved it. Thanks Ethan again for your really fun and kind time to share with us. So awesome 👏 😊

So many beautiful and unique 80's design elements. I love the entry and the decorative glass of the doors and elsewhere in the house. The octagon window in the laundry is cool. Sometimes when renovating large older homes changing the design and use of spaces, you can end up with a little extra space with a window or windows, which may have been the case with the laundry room. The sunroom type breakfast area is 😎. The kitchen cooking space in the glass sunroom is so awesome!!

Very nice! And you do look a bit tired! Take it easy and get some rest.
Love all of the unique personal touches with the home!
Don't care for tile countertops in kitchens. The reason is that they're difficult to keep clean. Dust and debris get caught in the crevices.
Closet space is a big plus!
Awesome view of the lake. Very nice! Great floor plan, but it would cost a fortune to heat and keep cool! No wonder he went bankrupt!
    Love the beach theme bedroom.
    Great explore again Ethan!

I love this house! I miss the days of wood trim/doors, cedar closets, a pull out cutting board, a pull down ironing board from inside a closet, things like planters in staircases (or other built in places), stone archways, bay windows, built in work desk in kitchen, cool sunrooms, the beautiful tile in the bathrooms, beautiful decorative front doors, beautiful funky tile, built ins, and even flocked wall paper. I miss the character that so many 80’s homes had. I know certain things can still be done, but there was just something special about this era. Thanks for the tour Ethan. I loved this home!

What a Nice retro water view property, luv all the wood, stone and stained glass thru out, sad, it's just left to decay, would of been such a nice property when it was maintained, would cost alot to restore and maintain this property too, which maybe another reason it has been left to its current state, sadly. It looks like this home is water baseboard heated, not electric. So would not be that overly expensive to heat, depending on if a oil or gas fired boiler, likely gas if in Ontario. Thanks for the tour of this older gem.

That's a fascinating find. Thanks. Ps I believe the wooden 'shelf' box fixed to the wall is some kind of cover for the radiator or such because of the vents/slit spaces in the bottom and top. Anyone correct me if i'm wrong please. I'm Only presuming that based on previous finds/observations of my own. Thanks again.

Hey Ethan. Another amazing video. Thank you for suffering in the heat to show us viewers (your fans,) structures we'd never otherwise be able to see. Your into the 80's decor. Me, I'm in love with the 70's. Of course, I was a teenager and beyond back in the day. I love my tie dyes, macrame plant holders and wall hangings, bright colorful furniture. Ethan, that beautiful harmless spider you can let crawl on you without any fear with those big long legs are called "GRANDDADDY Long Legs". Never kill them they are nice harmless and catch other yucky, creepy creatures. I have them in about 3 places in my bathroom, including my shower. I know they are harmless, so they make their pad, they reside in it. I don't really get creeped out with too many scary things . Especially not nice spiders like granddaddylonglegs. They're really cool Being born on Halloween 🎃👻 might have something to do with it? Lol Ive never had fear of much. If I were much younger I'd be out going into old creepy abandoned places. I did a few abandoned places including a prison in my younger years in the 80's. But, video recording wasn't in. We just did it because we were stoned and bored. Thank you,c Ethan for another great video. Love your content. How dare people even think you'd film a house up for sale??? 😞 Thats Not ethan groovy. 😎 cool!! I love the way you Canadians say Houwse. I'm a New Mexican and we don't add in the w. We just say "casa". House in Espanol.

The sink and faucet in the kitchen look pretty modern to me. I got more of the feel that this was perhaps a summer home belonging to an older couple. The couple, their kids, and grandchildren would come here during the summer months to enjoy the lake. There is absolutely nothing creepy about this home as someone mentioned 😒 The couple perhaps got too old and/or possibly died. Maybe the younger generation could no longer afford the upkeep, didn't have time, or simply lost interest. Outdated, but it doesn't look abandoned at all to me Just unoccupied for a long time. It was in pretty good shape, with the exception of the water damage (which is probably too expensive to repair)and that moldy basement. Being from the part of the US where we do not have basements in our homes, the whole concept of basements and how they always seem to get flooded and possibly moldy is foreign and seems somewhat unhealthy. This is something I'll have to consider when I retire and move to another state. (Hopefully, within 10 yrs). I especially loved the Ist lower level blue bedroom/office(?) where sadly the water damage was at. I loved that fake fireplace, too. Personally, I'm more of a dark mahagony wood color type of person. Still nice. Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't want to live in such a large home, though. The bigger the house, the more to clean 😅
