I think the updo makes you look younger and vibrant. I'm 66 and wear my hair to my waist. I wear it down in ponytails and updos. There is so much more variety and fun with long hair. Really, what other people think isn't important to me. I feel good about myself and enjoy my hair.

I'm in my late 50's and I wear my hair up, sometimes braided too. It just depends on how it looks on me and it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks it only matters what I think. I absolutely love your tutorial
I'm 78 and I wear an up-do or ponytail half the time. I haven't cut it for almost a year now and it's at an impossible length for the curling iron. My husband likes the sleek look of it back off my face.
I am 64 with lovely silver,/grey hair. I have tried every short to medium length style since my younger days and now want longer hair in a high pony. One of the reasons is I work in medical and battling with not just glasses and a mask but any hair over my face has become quite irritating. Brushing it off my face feels fresh and uncluttered. I am also starting swimming again and want no fuss hair. Thank you so much for your tutorial..you look great.
Hi thanks so much , it’s Summer here in Australia It’s so easy to get my hair back and away with a ponytail . I’m like yourself , sometimes can’t stand hair dangling in my way xxx
We’re never too old for pony tails. I like your pony tail with the pieces in the front. I prefer longer hair as there are so many different hairstyles to try.
No Michelle, don't cut your hair. Your hair is so beautiful and suits you. You are never too old to wear a ponytail. Just pull a few strands around your face to soften the look. I have to do that as I have a wider face. 😍 Lee-Anne 😍
Hi Michelle, looking lovely as usual! I don't think it matters, I think we should just do what we like and what we enjoy! However having said that I think I prefer it when you have your hair up with the strands to frame your face, it just shows your pretty face more and looks softer! Have a great week ahead! x
I don’t care any longer about opinions. 😀I’am 64, have natural blonde hair that had highlights. For the last year I have been growing the highlights out. I prefer my hair length past my shoulders. I think your long hair looks lovely!
I am 67 and grow my hair .They over my shoulders now. Nice blond. I like them. But my husband says it makes me look neglected. Well My hair are very thick and I have plenty of them. I feel very feminine.
Hi Michelle I love a little detail around the front when I wear a updo (I feel less librarian looking lol!!). Great subject Michelle & I do not feel ponytails/updo never age a women, I think a messy bun is super cute!! Have a fabulous week beautiful!! xx Karen💕😘
Hi, Michelle! You look beautiful. The ponytail on you was darling, especially with the light waves around your face. No, you/we are not too old for ponytails. Isn't it funny how we are told what is "proper" for us after we reach a certain age? Great video. - xx, Carla
I like the detail around the front. I'm 67 and am wearing ponytails for the first time. I don't even think I look that great with a ponytail but I love how feminine I feel. You look great with a ponytail.
Thanks so much , ponytails are just so convenient I find . I never used to wear them as much but when we had to wear masks all the time I got into them xxx
You look very nice with the ponytail, definitely like the little bits hanging down in the front. I thought the updo would have looked better if you would have left some hanging down also. My personal preference is to let my long hair hang down and I have a personal reason for this. I was a member of an Amish/Mennonite church for about 20 years and always had to have my hair up and covered. After leaving that type of church there was no way I wanted to have my hair like that ever again. LOL Thanks again for another interesting video.
Hi Robin how interesting , thank you for sharing . I’m so intrigued . I can imagine why you don’t like wearing your hair up . Would love to hear more about your experience ? I’m on instagram if you are xxx 💕
Hi Michelle, my hair isn’t long enough for a nice ponytail but if it was I would wear one. You look great in a ponytail or an updo, very youthful styles to me.hair down or up, we are free to do whatever we want! Much love, Sheila

Hi Michelle, I don't think pony tails are aging at all. I liked the one you created and I liked when you did pulled a little bit just to frame the face. In the past (a couple months ago) I have seen you in an updo and I liked how you just pulled a liitle bit around your face. Well anyway I liked it so much I thought I would try it but for some reason it just doesn't look as good on me. Maybe my front hair is just too thin and wispy so it doesn't look as good as yours. I have tried other hair turtorials like you were doing and they make it look so easy but when I do it it doesn't work LOL but I have found a couple that I like. Good tip about putting the liitle claw clip in too give the pony tail a little volume. Thanks and great video as usual:)
I like the ponytail with the wisps around your face, I think it looks great! I like the pony better than the bun. I can not wear my hair straight back, it's not a good look on me.
Thanks so much Tracie , I experimented with my hair straight back , I don’t think it’s my best look . I’ll try wearing a pony tail in videos more often xxx 💕
My Dear Friend, I ADORE ur beautiful, silky white hair! I am 49 yrs young and have no plans to cease wearing my hair in ponytails nor will I stop wearing my messy bun updos. I’ve sported ponytails all of my life and I believe that anyone wearing a ponytail, ESPECIALLY women over 50-55+ conveys having a youthful soul and is a symbol of confidence and freedom. But most importantly my friends, wear your hair ANY way that makes YOU feel beautiful❣️😊
Hi Michelle..it is not about ageing, just about comfort to me...off the face it goes when I need it and back down again...up and down...like my moods and health issues...You look beautiful in any of these styles...and ponytail is always lovely option for woman of any age..take care hug J

Wow that's a lot of work for a ponytail :) I thought ponytails were universally acknowledged as anti-agers as they give you a facelift? But then what do I know I've had the same long hair since I was 15 years old and I don't intend to change it at 65! 😆
@@OlderWomenRock don't you worry it'll damage your hair? I have had to go back to using scrunchies as even regular elastics will mess my hair up. It is also getting really wavy as I age dang it!
Hi Michelle , 67 soon and long hair , I often wear a pony tail , flip my head upside down and tie the elastic ,gives me one on top of my head , didn't like the braid , I thought it made you look old ,sorry I haven't been on here ,have been busy being totally flooded ,twice. xx
Hi Christine , I was wondering how things went for you with the horrible floods , what a shocking time . I recall when you bought asking if it floods there . Hope things are going ok now . The clean up is just unbelievable xxx
You look marvelous with your hair up in a ponytail! Your face is very pretty and the ponytail lifts and accentuates it, whereas your face disappears in the presence of all that long hair. As to the side pieces hanging down, I like it better without.
Not to be critical or negative, but, I recommend a , “soft “, light ginger red blonde hair color. Or, a champagne blonde. No yellow , or gold blonde tones for they are too harsh. I can see the light ginger enhancing a more youthful glow of at least 10 years. Your skin color and eyes would very much be complimentary to that color. It would radiate vibrancy . You may like the white with yellow blonde and that’s always the prerogative of the one wearing the hair. Us ladies always have our preferences. You may not want color. I just think it would really give you a lift and spark. I think the white washes you out against your pale skin. No offense. Just a suggestion, no different that that of our hairdresser or makeup artist. Your still very much a beautiful lady, just as you are. Giving a shared suggestion.
Thanks I don’t like being white grey but I don’t wish to colour my hair again. I was naturally a warm honey blonde and liked it a lot . I’d never go red or ginger though , it’s not my taste
I remember the beautiful hair worn by both of my grandmother's. The one was Green, the other Norwegian, both immigrants to the US, but they had waist length, gorgeous, snow white hair. I did always think of the long braided buns as something that the grandmother's wore. Until I was old enough to go to work as a seamstress & had to keep my hair out of my eyes. Then I became a mom & an artist & it was easy and fast to put it up in a pony or a bun. Now that I am a grandmother & my hair is silvery grey with only bits of brown, my time is my own & ....I KEEP MY HAIR IN A PONYTAIL OR A BUN!!🤣😄😅 It is still fast & easy & at this stage of my life, I'm old enough to decide what works for me & who really cares? Eitherr people will take me as I am or find another friend. If they like me for my fashion sense, they either know nothing about fashion or they are blind. I've never had a fashionable figure & I love comfort more than spandex.
I think you look better with the two side pieces on the ponytail we all tend to loose temple hair with age all this hair dressing stuff is fine if you’re neck and shoulder joints are good mine aren’t I am sixty long thick hair and I will do what I like and what I can 😂😂😂 love you elaine Lincolnshire U.K.
I think you look quite stylish with the ponytail I would suggest leaving some hair loose around your face it looks quite nice. I'm in my 60s and growing my grey hair long. I often wear a ponytail. Definitely not ageing in the least.😊
Lady, you are looking absolutely gorgeous, with a natural elegance ! And even if you didn't, the way you like to wear your hair is your choice. Other people have a head of their own to cut and style. 😉 I'm a 58 yo Swiss lady, and I don't give a d*mn about what other people think of my hair, my clothes, my look or my (very discrete) way of life. I live in a small village and people talk. I let them talk, lol. Some think I am weird. Some think I am special. Some think I am extraordinary. But most just don't care. I grew my hair out to terminal length (= below knee) and then cut it back to tailbone. Rock your ponytail and be happy ! 👍🏼🙂
@@OlderWomenRock My strength comes from my grand-mother who had very long hair, lol. She was a mountain farmer, and by her time, no lady would cut their hair : they braided it, rolled it up in a bun, and wore the traditional peasant long dress all year round. I was fascinated to see her comb her hair every day, before she put it up, or when she put it down in the evening. Me and all my little cousin-girls wanted to be like her. 😊 And here I am : old as she was, with my bun. 😄 My hair is still very dark like hers, but one day I'll rock the white granny bun !!!! 😁😁😁 (My hair is visible on my YT channel, if you are curious 😉).
It really depends on how tall the woman is. I am 55 but also petite at 5 foot so when ever I’ve had my hair in a ponytail I’ve looked like a young girl which isn’t what I’m looking for when I’m in my 50’s. I used to think that way too that a woman shouldn’t have long hair over a certain age, but here changed my mind since and after having my hair cut into a bob earlier in the year, am now growing it longer again. It is collarbone length and am keeping it that way. I am one of those rare women who want to look older and am not hung up about ageing. It’s just a pain when you look younger than your age and are not taken seriously. Tall women are luckier in that respect.
Your beautiful face is more visible and more youthful when you wear it up, No they do not age us mature women. I think just the opposite when an older women wears her hair down to me this is more aging😀
I am 56 years old I wear a ponytail to keep my hair off the back of my neck during the summertime cuz it's too hot. I go out with my sons my oldest one is 39 years old and my youngest one is 37 and they get told oh gee you should be nice to your girlfriend. Well let me tell you when I say I'm not the girlfriend I am their mother they're like oh blah blah they stumble over words and they apologize and we all stand there and laugh because. So in one hand here it can be a bad thing in the other hand it can be really good thing I think it depends on the person.
That’s a great story Cyndi , you must look very young for your age . I get more attention when I wear a ponytail from the back lol until I turn around xx
@@OlderWomenRock yes I definitely get more attention when I wear my hair up and I tend to push the ponytail as high as I can get it. The weird thing was when I was younger my mother used to put me in pigtails. You don't see many people wearing those anymore.
Women, please don’t cut your hair! Try new products or talk to your stylist about maybe adding some long layers but don’t cut it off. The temptation to follow the new Bob trend, don’t do it, I’m just saying you were going to miss your long tresses! Hollywood elites cut their hair and start and then they end up with extensions that cost thousands. Also be careful with the bangs. Not all of us want to look like we’re 12 years old again. And not just everybody looks good with the straight bangs. Instead for a curtain bang or pull your hair back with pins to get an idea what you might look like before you go cutting them yourselves. Just my two cents. But if you feel like it, and you don’t care or worry about haircut, dread, go for it. ❤❤😅
Look you see everyone wearing white in USA AFTER LABOR DAY & TRADITION ARE BROKEN ESPECIALLY WHEN THINGS HAPPENED ON USA 🇺🇸 HOLIDAYS & POLAR BEAR PLUNGE HAS ALWAYS BEEN JANUARY 1ST
Why women never understand when it is over? They keep living in denial ... When a car has 300000 Miles on it, no matter what it has 300000 miles even if you change the paint at the the end it is an old car.
We can wear what ever we want. Why all the stupid rules? Ridiculousness. Women of the world need to break out of this mentality. Youve been sold a social construct.

Very nice 🙏🏿
Thank You
Straight back👍
You look marvelous with your hair up in a ponytail! Your face is very pretty and the ponytail lifts and accentuates it, whereas your face disappears in the presence of all that long hair. As to the side pieces hanging down, I like it better without.
Thanks so much
67 yo, long, below waist length silver hair...works for me
Sounds so lovely xxx
think, you could wear a paperbag on your head and still look WONDERFULL..love your style
Thanks for lovely comments 😊
Looks better with wisps with pony tail
Yes thanks
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. I enjoyed reading this .Love Your attitude 💐💕😊💕
HI Michelle TFS I like the hair on the sides for you. hug connie
NO YOUR NOT TO OLD :)
Lol I know I’m just trying to get a conversation going xxx
I liked it because didn't practice. So much fun.
Thanks
I like it all back. No you are not too old.
Hi Elaine so true , my hair is thinning on the sides and temples . Sometimes my arms aren’t so good either . Thanks so much for watching 💐xxx
I think you look quite stylish with the ponytail I would suggest leaving some hair loose around your face it looks quite nice. I'm in my 60s and growing my grey hair long. I often wear a ponytail. Definitely not ageing in the least.😊
Hi thanks
A new over 50s Ponytail video coming out today or soonish xxx
Absolutely not too old to wear a ponytail. I,golf and wear a long pony tail a golf hat and sunglasses. I think I look younger. It works for me
Wonderful , ponytails are so convenient 💕
Thank You for your lovely compliments and comments . You sound like a confident strong Lady . Thanks so much xxx 💕
My hair is past my shoulders
My shoulders isn't really were I what to be I would like hair to be to my feet
I think you look younger with the ponytail 👋
That’s so kind, thank you
It really depends on how tall the woman is.
Thanks so much . I appreciate Your feedback. Interesting information xx
Long hair is good but add layers. I like long hair because I like to change my style.
I agree I need more layers in my hair xxx
❤️❤️❤️
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank You
Your beautiful face is more visible and more youthful when you wear it up, No they do not age us mature women. I think just the opposite when an older women wears her hair down to me this is more aging😀
Thanks so much
I am 65 my hair is gray and is very lawn
Young people have very limiting opinions on hairstyles for women over 50 or 60. Well, touche. They're getting older too.
Thanks
Well the loose ponytail is cute on you; It looks stylish on you. However, everyone does not look good with a ponytail.
Thanks
People have no business telling other people how to wear their hair at what age, etc. It’s ridiculous. There are no rules.
Thanks for watching xxx
I liked the ponytail on you.. the up do aged you
Thank You
I like that you didn't practice! I do not think ponytails and updos age us.
So glad you agree xxx
Prefer the pony tail with detail round the front on you compared to the bun. It makes you look younger. The bun, I feel is neither here nor there
Thanks so much Eva xxx
Front down
Yes agree
Look you see everyone wearing white in USA AFTER LABOR DAY & TRADITION ARE BROKEN ESPECIALLY WHEN THINGS HAPPENED ON USA 🇺🇸 HOLIDAYS & POLAR BEAR PLUNGE HAS ALWAYS BEEN JANUARY 1ST
Ok
Why women never understand when it is over? They keep living in denial ... When a car has 300000 Miles on it, no matter what it has 300000 miles even if you change the paint at the the end it is an old car.
Oh this doesn’t apply to Men ?
Ever heard of a fine wine ?
@@OlderWomenRock Usually when men get older they always look better than women. Sorry!
We can wear what ever we want. Why all the stupid rules? Ridiculousness. Women of the world need to break out of this mentality. Youve been sold a social construct.
Thanks , I so agree xxx
I don’t think your up do’s make you look older.
So kind xxx
Who cares I like my hair long I'm 66
Exactly Me too
I am 55 and I wear a pony tail with pride! I don't care how old a person is they can still wear a pony tail xx
So agree , ponytails are practical and fun . Let’s keep wearing our hair exactly how We like to wear it xxx
