It goes synths>mixer>kpro>mpc (input thru)>kpad>interface. I've actually changed the setup some since this video added a turntable for scratching ill have to upload a new vid soon.
Hey man. I have a few questions. How do u sync the timecode from ur mpc yo ur kaoss pads? And is the MPC standalone or do u connect it to ur laptop? Im trying to start something like this but more the XX sounding or the like. Which one is better at looping? The kaossilator or kaoss pad? Thanks so much. Would appreciate it if you could answer me. :) n u fukin kill it btw man!
Hey man this is truly incredible. I am beginning to go in a similar direction as a musician. Could you give a more of a description of how everything is linked together?
Really cool, so many great elements in there. The voice on the ipod is a nice touch, so many things you could add in this way. Technologically I'm way behind this, but I learned a ton. Mucho arigato !
Dawg, this was straight heat🔥🔥🔥🔥. Idk what you're doing or trying to do with your music, but my guy if you ever decide to put yourself out there you most def have a future. Keep it up man!!!
Any chance you could draw a map of how everything is interconnected? I'm putting together a similar setup and would like to see how other people have everything put together.
i first listend to this bcoz i was checkin out ur set up but im now playing it just bcoz i funking love this tune man. big respect to u an anyone one that can hans on do this outa tha box thas real tallent,....love an peace
What kind of mixer are you using? And can you please do more tutorial/demo type videos? Or maybe draw a diagram of how you have everything hooked up? Love your channel and all that you do!
Dude that was tight!! I loved that! I've heard people have some issues with MIDI sync with the Kaossilator and the Kaos Pad, have you had any issues with that? I'm debating getting the Kaossilator or waiting for the RC 202 by boss for looping purposes with my keys.
Thank you for sharing! I've been really needing to see other set ups. Not only superb swag n groove but my applause for knowing your gear and executing, in my world, top notch tunes. Your talented bro, skies the limit for some, i say think bigger. peace.
this is such a nice performance, great work. about the kaoss can you loop numerous riffs recorded off the microkorg at the same time? how would you control them? thanks for this video!
Great Job I was very pleased with how this video turned out. Good explanation of set up and uses his gear to its potential! What is the name of your Project> like whats your artist handle?big wave couch surfer? i wanna show my friends
I hope understanding these two basic things will help. An audio interface (like a scarlet Focusrite) allows you hear the sound and record it on your computer. A midi interface will allow you to record the movements, buttons pushing and knob turning that you do on the hardware (like here he's using korg hardware.. to be specific a microkorg piano synth).
super awesome man. Thank you for explaining the whole process. I have quite a few pieces that I would love to sync together and am having the hardest time finding any literature on how to do it (or I'm just not looking good enough). Your walk thru helped me out a bit. BTW, what you created was really awesome. Peace..
Hey man, I was wondering what you have your MPC plugged into? Is it directly into the speakers through a sound card or interface? I'm assuming it's not into the mixer since you said that's where all the sounds you want to loop come from.
I love the glass just chillin up there by the synth.
haha I just noticed that
One of the best beats I think I've ever heard. You surely have inspired me with your rig and song. For real man
That's a sick rig and it was super generous of you to explain and demo. Well done man.
It goes synths>mixer>kpro>mpc (input thru)>kpad>interface. I've actually changed the setup some since this video added a turntable for scratching ill have to upload a new vid soon.
I realize it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
@Levi Major I use Flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Royal Sutton Yup, have been using Flixzone for since march myself :)
@Royal Sutton thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :D Appreciate it!
@Levi Major glad I could help :D
man, this sounds great. I am glad you have all that gear and know how to hook it up properly!
MPC doing what it does best. That hip hop drum sound. Fantastic use of many instruments to create a great live sound
MPC FOR LIFE 💜
Best improv on youtube. Reallly original. Love the vibes!
Insane set up & skillz. Good to see a true craft worker & not some silly button masher. Good stuff cuz..thats alot of coin on that desk!

The kaossilator is better for looping because it's built as a loop pad/synth station, and yes the mpc 1000 is standalone, I just got one myself.

I'm working on a setup like this but incorporating different gear. Very dope how you're playing everything live. Very dope.
This is by far one of the DOPEST beats I've seen made on RUclips!! Props!
Damn you had all this 9 years ago ? Can't imagine what you are doing now 💜
Hey man this is truly incredible. I am beginning to go in a similar direction as a musician. Could you give a more of a description of how everything is linked together?
Could listen to this all day. Keep it up man
Had no idea what to expect... But this was amazing. Well done mate, impressed.
I just bought all of the gear and need to know what to do to hook it up. Computers? Speakers? What cables and where?
Really cool, so many great elements in there. The voice on the ipod is a nice touch, so many things you could add in this way. Technologically I'm way behind this, but I learned a ton. Mucho arigato !

Great demo! You are well-practiced, everything was seamless and truly flowed.
That was great, I hope you're still playing.
That bass loop was SUPER inspiring - I'm gonna try some stuff along those lines w my microkorg A$AP
So cool man! I really dig your sound and your combinations of gear. PS, nice pipe. ;)
Very nice dude. Sharp business. The time you put in really paid off. Keep it up and good luck in the future.
Love the mood of the song! Great setup as well
That was very tight! I'm glad I tuned in and saw what you did. Wow!
love this stuff - wish you had more recent stuff - like this year though .. :( ..
(2017)
What are the names of the 2 pieces of equipment next to the MPC? So your not using the mpc to make the loops right
What kind of audio interface do you use to control all that stuff?
gr8 work
Any chance you could draw a map of how everything is interconnected? I'm putting together a similar setup and would like to see how other people have everything put together.
One of my first setups was a microkorg and the mpc1k, foolishly I sold the korg, but I remember getting some really thick bass sounds off it.
Im learning about this kind of gear and would like to know how you send the clock from the sampler to three different things.
i first listend to this bcoz i was checkin out ur set up but im now playing it just bcoz i funking love this tune man. big respect to u an anyone one that can hans on do this outa tha box thas real tallent,....love an peace
The kaossilator is conected whith the mpc too? ...and can show the connections you made?
i have a KP3+ on the way how highly would you recommend also getting the kaosscilatorr pro if im going into electronic music production?
That Kerouac sample just got you a new subscriber.
This was well thought out, I dig it.
How are you syncing the tempo of the Kaoss Pad and Kaossilator with the MPC? There's no word clock input on the Korgs...
mpc has one
how did you connect the delay pedal to the keysation midi controller?
do the kaossilator and the kaoss pad have the same sample feature ? with the four buttons ?
great setup and music!!
This is so fresh! The setup is great.
What kind of mixer are you using? And can you please do more tutorial/demo type videos? Or maybe draw a diagram of how you have everything hooked up? Love your channel and all that you do!
holy shit when that microkorg comes in mate. jawdroppin.
Wow bro I’m speechless...that was a crazy ride
is it all running through an 8 channel mixer (sound board)?
this dude is THE MAN
Do you built you're beats with the midi sequencer in the MPC, or with the Kaoss pads and why?
Awesome touch with the Kerouac. Blow man, blow.
hey man awesome demo! what midi controller is that that you're using with EMU?
Dude that was tight!! I loved that! I've heard people have some issues with MIDI sync with the Kaossilator and the Kaos Pad, have you had any issues with that? I'm debating getting the Kaossilator or waiting for the RC 202 by boss for looping purposes with my keys.
What way have you all that hooked up to your monitors?
Cool, like It. Microkorg and Kaossilator Are a Great Team
Could you make a diagram of how you have everything setup?
Nice Bro ! , I have a question , can you connect your controller to Mircokorg to play presets ?
that can be done with midi, no problem.
All on 1 channel and/or sequence?
I never write any comments, but you're good, mate. Love it
amazing! this bass line on MK make me feel good :)
How do you send multiple signals info the kp3? Cheers :)
Thank you for sharing! I've been really needing to see other set ups. Not only superb swag n groove but my applause for knowing your gear and executing, in my world, top notch tunes. Your talented bro, skies the limit for some, i say think bigger. peace.
lovely set up dude, what mixer do you have to channel into you kaossilator pro?
am i correct in thinking you're using headphones in the mic input as a mic when i can see one next to your mixer ?
ohh you arnt... sorry.....my bad
That is awesome and very inspiring!! Maybe you could tell what patch on Microkorg did you use ? Cheers!
A diagram of the I/O would be cool but I understand if you don't want to share. That being said. Cool setup and performance.
Hey man, you should make a video showing how to link all this together
How do you deal with the the midi sync problem with the Korg KAOSS pads? Thanks for the awesome video!
What are you playing on your ipod?
Great musicianship!
This is what I was looking for, a performance. DOPE
this is such a nice performance, great work. about the kaoss can you loop numerous riffs recorded off the microkorg at the same time? how would you control them?
thanks for this video!

Hey man. Whats good? Are you in California?? I got some questions about your Micro Korg connections. lets chat.
Dope work 🔥💪👊👍
yo man. youre from canada right?
Beautiful . My big problem is "connect" all these things. HOW!??? How I can learn it..
Great setup! I was feeling the groove...
Impressive sound 👍
super awesome man. Thank you for explaining the whole process. I have quite a few pieces that I would love to sync together and am having the hardest time finding any literature on how to do it (or I'm just not looking good enough). Your walk thru helped me out a bit. BTW, what you created was really awesome. Peace..
Thanks man, that’s a great setup and sounds you make! Keep it up!
Hey great setup and beat man! Are your kp3 and kpro connected via midi. Do you have issues with them drifting off beat ?
Wouldn't it be better to loop with the KP3 instead of the pedal? NIce work btw
Love that Kerouac!
That's a pretty sick setup bro although... I was more impressed by the shoes on the floor next to that paper bag. Sweet mix super chill!
i loved it!! cool sounds and groove.
This is so rad! What was the audio track from? an audio book or something? Sounded cool.
Sounds like spoken word or a book. It is cool!
Mitch Gibson audio book of Jack Kerouac's Desolation Angels
8:05 "see, something like that" Improvised? Was that improvised? I'm giving up music for about a week to collect my thoughts in a prayer pose.
sick beats. you should play a show with our group if your in LA!
Amazing!!! What do you use for realtime looping?
+Marjan Žitnik He uses the KP3 and the kaossilator Pro+
Also it looks like the drums are being looped on the mpc 1000
Hey man, I was wondering what you have your MPC plugged into? Is it directly into the speakers through a sound card or interface? I'm assuming it's not into the mixer since you said that's where all the sounds you want to loop come from.
That was dope man! DOPE!
whats the vocal this is rad
how do i do the thing?
Quality, Jack would like this
That is one bully of a bassline then those vocals and THAT lead, hot damn!
You killed that, Evan. Well fucking done.
What delay pedal is that?
FANTASTIC !
Mr. Miagi BE MY MASTER OMG. I need this!!! So overwhelming.
This is great set up man 👍
the legend says he still hasnt left his room
I'd love to know what scales he is using for those solos.
+Evelyn Kelly Minor Pentatonic with a few blue notes here and there
+Shane Bonanno I figured minor penta.
