I agree, but why would you think it would sound worse than the day it was uploaded? It's not like the sound is going to degrade the older a RUclips video gets :/
This was the video that made me buy my first synthesizer in November of 2016. I got the MicroKorg obviously. This is still one of the best demos ive ever seen on any synthesizer. Ive seen lots of different demos on different synths, this still holds up. For first time synthesis, the MicroKorg isnt the best to learn on, but I sure did. You can look up many tutorial videos and read the manual and you can get an idea. This guy should make more MicroKorg demos, this one still really moves me.
Yes, everything else just seems like hum drum. This stuff is purely original. Make your album dude! Contact me for the album cover and graphics. I have a degree in graphic design.
When I made a soundcloud for my band to share recordings with my band you were the first person to follow and this was the first song of yours I ever heard and it has stuck with me ever since, funny coming across it searching for micro korg videos
H Bass definitely worth it. makes some pretty interesting sounds that you don't hear much nowadays. it doesn't even matter if i'm actually composing something, just playing with it never gets old. you can get these really cheap used on guitar center, i got mine in great condition for 150.
Mike Davies The microkorg is really on your side to help developing your talent. The way it enables you (at any entry level) to create everything from straightforward bass lines, to melodic parts up to more complex sonic landscapes, is just so stimulating, you’ll want to keep on practicing and experimenting; Thus skills are developed. And so yeah, in a way it kinda does come with the kit.
My partner has bought me one of these for Christmas. I've always said that I was an experimental musician to cover the fact that I don't know how to play anything, but after hearing this and what I could achieve if I put my mind to it, I kind of want to go for Piano lessons
music theory is really good to know too, as long as you can make a sound out of an instrument and know what note that sound is you can potentially play any instrument
I really love this video. The production is perfect, the angle, clarity and shot is excellent. very professional. Then the playing... words can barely describe how beautiful the song was.
Absolutely love the first patch on this video. I always come to this video at least once a year. Currently own a minilogue but the microkorg seems like such a wonderful and inspiring instrument.
thank you for actually giving this a demo with decent sounds haha, much appreciated. All i could find before was people making terrible sounding "Dubstep" sounds with it. im looking to use it in a band, now i have hope it may work.
The way you are playing is really nice and with feeling, i like this… but what's really funny about it: normally a style like this (these rhythmic 8ths/16ths) is achieved by using arpeggiators - but you just play it by hand :D
Nice stuff. I can't tell you enough that this is pure talent. I can relate because I always underestimate myself with my visual art, yet everyone tells me how great it is. I can tell you play from your center, not from your head, that's why we can all feel it. This is like nothing I have every heard, purely original, and very refreshing to hear.
I was feeling so depressed and I felt like giving up and I came across this in a page... I just wanna say thank you for this .. really it's beautiful and soothed me
I discovered this song back in 2016, when my life as a young, inexperienced 18yo adult life was starting, as soon as I heard it, it made me feel nostalgic, i save it for special occasions, when I’m feeling down, or just want to feel the nostalgia… it hits a specific nostalgic feeling that I don’t know what it is, I hope everybody enjoys this masterpiece in their own way such as I do.
I always thought you needed vocals to get a popular song, but you proved me wrong. This is absolutely beautiful. Gave me shivers. Could you put out sheets please? Thanks!
I searched for years for the song I swear I heard this from. Years later I found it again. "Jarreau Vandal - Suburb Superhero" uses this exact recording as a beat. Amazed I haven't seen it commented here yet cause he's got millions of plays around the internet
Hmm. I set the patch to everything in the description. Just doesn't sound like it does on here. Is it edited to make the sound keep playing after you press the keys? Like the shadow? new to this stuff.
I'm looking for a synth that will give me lush warm pad sounds and great atmospheric effects. I'm new to the synth world, can anyone help me with suggestions? I'm a guitar player that has a plethora of pedals I can use also. Thanks
You cant' go wrong with an mK. It comes with 128 patches, KORG has a free download of another 128, and there are sets for purchase online for very little money. If have more time on your hands, there are plenty of "recipes" to be found for free.
2018, and I´m coming back to listen to this wonderful music. Man, you got an amazing sound out of this microkorg, I hope you will record more of your stuff and show it here.
I just keep coming back this video. I really like how the patch sounds. The chord progression is just awesome. Kinda reminds me how the deadmau5 sounded a few years ago. :)
Whenever I'm frustrated with my Microkorg I come to this video and remember that it's just me that sucks
Me too...me too!
so true

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😭😭😭
Yep
5 years later and this still sounds absolutely amazing.
It's 80s!!!!! Golden times

8 years later still holding strong..!

This song on microKorg is by far the best I have watched on RUclips.

Haha I'm going to take note of this for when I release
It's good but not better than what Dorian Concept has done.
@@nicholaszamir6222 Sorry but i could not find a single good video of Dorian Concept playing on the microkorg
When I made a soundcloud for my band to share recordings with my band you were the first person to follow and this was the first song of yours I ever heard and it has stuck with me ever since, funny coming across it searching for micro korg videos
"should i get a microkorg?"
*watches this video*
*buys microkorg*
thanks man.
Is it worth it
So worth it. Been making stuff outside of my typical sound thanks to this baby.
H Bass definitely worth it. makes some pretty interesting sounds that you don't hear much nowadays. it doesn't even matter if i'm actually composing something, just playing with it never gets old. you can get these really cheap used on guitar center, i got mine in great condition for 150.
***** I recently got one: and can agree, great synth
+Nate Schmold (Mantrakid) That's exactly why I'm here...
Several years of listening to this and it never gets old, always feels special.
2021 and this still sounds freaking amazing. I Love my MicroKorg
Own a lot of synths - many high end. And still, the MicroKorg holds a special place in my heart.
So do I.....❤
Tell me, does that level of talent come with the kit? -
If only my brother, if only😔
it comes with practice :)
Sadly, no. But there is hope!

And with the delay

Music theory gives you a lot of tools to work with and fun ideas to explore one you start to get into harmonic theory and etc.
Korg should pay you for marketing
Agreed
lol Korg even shared this on their Facebook page, as marketing
true
yup ! tottaly
😍😍😍😂😂😍😂😍😂😍😍😂😍😂😂😍😍😂😂😂
Thank you very much! I've played piano about ten years and I bought the microkorg last year. I've liked it a lot! I'm going to make a new video soon!
I hope this never gets taken down I’ve been listing to this jam periodically for the last 8 Years or so lol
Still coming back regularly, 6 years in
Still my favorite microkorg piece. So surreal and beautiful...
I really love this video. The production is perfect, the angle, clarity and shot is excellent. very professional. Then the playing... words can barely describe how beautiful the song was.

OMG this sound so good. Korg never misses its target.
This is one of my favorite instrument demos online. One of the most tasteful and interesting pieces to showcase the instrument.
thank you for actually giving this a demo with decent sounds haha, much appreciated. All i could find before was people making terrible sounding "Dubstep" sounds with it. im looking to use it in a band, now i have hope it may work.
Not sure if I wrote this earlier, but this is honestly my favourite synth related video on RUclips
This reminds me of Tycho
Yep, I totally agree mate :)

For you this may be some doodling. I happen to come back to this vid every now and then.. it is so soothing. You also made me use my microkorg again.
The way you are playing is really nice and with feeling, i like this… but what's really funny about it: normally a style like this (these rhythmic 8ths/16ths) is achieved by using arpeggiators - but you just play it by hand :D
Land Wirtschaft and a delay, which probably wouldn't work as good with an arp
@@cyberschn1tzel997 Not necessarily.
I've discovered this the same year that it came. Almost a decade later it's still one of my favourite pieces of music.

Still listening to this video once in a while > Great vibe. It's the OST for the beginning of my synth adventure! Great work!
every few months i see this video pop up and i watch it every time.
dylan_king same for me ! ^^
Lovely work on this J !
Love those progressions. Fantastic vid.
I was feeling so depressed and I felt like giving up and I came across this in a page... I just wanna say thank you for this .. really it's beautiful and soothed me
I'm in love with this patch. Trying it out as soon as I'm home from work. Nicely done!
Benjamin Benjamins it's now in the description.
Commander Monolyth Just stop going to work and use it all day long.
It is incredible, this post has 12 years, but thanks to this video I have decided to bought a minilogue xd and start to learn music... thanks...
That ender progression. UGHH, too good.
Out of all the microKORG videos I have seen this is the only one I actually like watching
Admit it, you're one of the Boards of Canada guys.
+Robert Szordykowski That's exactly what I thought too
+Robert Szordykowski hahahahahahahaha I thought the same just at the first chords
+Robert Szordykowski A real Sandison right here!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha

I remember watching this 7 years ago and thanks man you've introduced me to the amazing synth world!
Amazing how you played that arp so consistently. I love that patch too. Really enjoyable.
I am coming back to this video again and again! It has touched my soul! I could listen to this the rest of my life! So good! 😊
Literally bought one right after watching this video and it just came in today.
Absolutely fantastic patch, thanks for putting it in the description.
didn't know if I wanted this or not... I want it now like right now
dude. this. is. music. MORE people need to hear. genius. seriously.
This song is the reason I purchased my microKorg.
Easily the most beautiful demo for any musical instrument i've seen, i've gotta cop this now
This is beautiful.
Visiting this video after years, feels good to be back. Thank you sir for the great sounds. 🤙🏼
the guy is like...i was bored..so i made people cry.
i think i'm going for the mininova though :p
korg should pay you money
This little showcase of this keyboard really brought an emotional response for me. love it
Congratulations, You have convinced me a MicroKorg is superior to the MiniNova. Because of you I will make a purchase.
you n me both
jahnkadelic count me in too
I bought it and still trying to figure out how to sound this good lol
keep at it! and inspire us like this guy can
the microcorg is great but NOTHING beats that mininova. its in a class by itself.

sounds like old orb, really good stuff. I keep waiting for a beat to drop in lol.
Since I've got to know synthwave this has been my favourite of all and it feels like love. Thank you a lot.
You should make an album. I love it.
Still waiting to hear more from you and did the album or even just a copy of this get made?
Finally i get my own, i really love this song, thanks for bring me chill
Korg would be proud :')
I love that, such a rich delay organ sound, perfect for Progressive house!! Beautiful!
3:03 is heavenly my lord.
Dude i have a microkorg, never knew you could do such awsome things with it. Bloody fantastic
I always thought you needed vocals to get a popular song, but you proved me wrong. This is absolutely beautiful. Gave me shivers. Could you put out sheets please? Thanks!
Man, I love this, always come back to watch it! September 2017!
Man u should record that melody, it's amazing and still better for chilling!
Once more I´m watching this video before going to bed 😊
The love. Oh my god.
Dude, I watch this video at least 10 times every year, I love it!
At first I was like ahhh the microkorg is old news and then I hear shit like this and I change my mind
Best microkorg video on youtube hands down, only microkorg video i have bookmarked
this would make such a good beat man
Wonderful! Always happy to see the MicroKorg being put to good use
It's exactly recorded straight into the 550d. I used aux wire. That's why there's a little hissing sound on the background.
Thanks for the awesome demo! You convinced me to pick up the MicroKorg I found at a local used music store. Bought it and was not let down.
Let's make a full Song out of this ;-) Owsome tunes for summertime.
I could literally listen to this all day. Pity I don't have talent for playing but I love music and I love THIS.. Absolutely beautiful..
about to buy this im fucking nervous for some reason but very excited to get it damn!!!!
Wow!!! Make more!! I don't know whether to cry or jump up with inspiration. Truly nice!
I finally figured out with this progression sounds like! Mookid by Aphex Twin! Still cool though
It does sound a lot like that... The texture and cords are about the same... Sound really dam close.... Good Call.
I searched for years for the song I swear I heard this from. Years later I found it again. "Jarreau Vandal - Suburb Superhero" uses this exact recording as a beat.
Amazed I haven't seen it commented here yet cause he's got millions of plays around the internet
This is one of the best Kong videos I've ever seen, and such an amazing song. So simple, total inspiration
The beginning reminds me of the track …Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age
I was going to say the same!!!
Woow you're right about that for sure and this was released before the QOTSA's album :D
I've kept this patch on A21 of my mk for years. I love bopping around with it. Thank you :)
If I were you, I'd record this via MIDI, quantize the notes to perfection and release it as a song! It sounds great!
Meek Pup - Perfection is the imperfect, unquantized flow of the expression. Quantization makes it rigid, removes the human feeling.
Fantastic patch, great video- bravo! This just goes to show you... its not the tool, its the person behind it that gives it soul.
Hmm. I set the patch to everything in the description. Just doesn't sound like it does on here. Is it edited to make the sound keep playing after you press the keys? Like the shadow? new to this stuff.

Tyler Wall make sure mod fx are off and there are no global settings or arps on
artsea how do you do that? I’m having the same trouble
Just realized I've been listening to this on my soundcloud playlist for the past year. Nice.
At 3:10 it's a bit like a sound from radio heads kid A album (everything in its right place?)

Oh god, that bum note at 1:53 hahaha

Just see those fingers dance across the keys and creating this wonderful piece of music. Respect!
I watch this video every time I see it in recommended and love it everytime.
The sheer musicality of the composition is amazing. You made a digital instrument sing with personality.
This is exactly what i want from a Sint, you really make me wanna buy this, i love your video dude.
Delay is the glue that holds live music together--especially solo music
Very nice minimalistic toccata very well interpreted on an exciting instrument. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing piece of music. These fingers almost like 'dance' across the keys... Very talented!!
Man this was really amazing! Gave me chills. Didn’t want this to end!.
I just keep coming back this video. I really like how the patch sounds. The chord progression is just awesome. Kinda reminds me how the deadmau5 sounded a few years ago. :)
This makes me feel so much 🌌
that was fantastic. i was waiting for a bassline, but then i realized how much better this is.
