- The Terminator Theme (1984) composed by Brad Fiedel.
Played live with no sequenced parts (except drums).
Almost all melodic sounds generated with Sylenth One VST, first drum loop sampled from the original song, second loop is a stack of several samples from the XP30, as well as the orch hit, and the "frying pan" sound is a sample from a Yamaha SY35. Keyboards are used just as controllers. The project is hosted in Ableton Live.

This right here got me some real teary-eyed vicarious feelz. Definitely God-tier praise. One of the most influential songs from my childhood, a big reason I was inspired to write/record/perform in the first place. Thank you Mr. Fiedel!

walking into a theater in 1984 and seeing this film not knowing anything about it was one of the most unbelievable joys a person could experience in a lifetime
A once in a lifetime experience! Pretty much everything with this movie was perfect. Score, acting, setting, tone even the way it was filmed as a low budged Dark Science-Fiction Thriller mostly filmed at night because they had no permission to film the movie.
I'm just jealous of you and crying a stingy terminator tear)
Kinda felt the same way watching the new Dune movie in theaters (a couple times), hard to put to words how it felt expiriancing that in a proper theater, all I can say is I wish I could watch it there again...

I was on a hospital bed last year after a stroke and a heart attack and I would listen to this music on repeat for hours, this helped me somehow. Will never forget this.
I have a similar story. After a traumatic brain injury ten years ago, I learned to walk again. This composition was one of my favorites for the background to the exercises.

When this movie first came out, me and my brother held a tape recorder up to the tv to record this theme.

I grew up in the 80s. High-school, arcades, going to the malls to check out the girls with the wildly teased hair, absolutely no internet and social media to destroy the minds of millions of youth, best music ever. Yes, the 80s was the last best and greatest decade ever.

This theme matched the pure tone of the whole movie, dark, brutal and unrelenting. Absolutely perfect.
And heroically depressing. Or depressingly heroic?
It really does, the melody describes adventure and being trapped, hope and despair. The tone is so perfectly matched to the story.

What can I say? Astonishing movie, with a brilliant script, astonishing actors performances, and music like from other reality - brutal, mechanical, and mesmerizing!
I miss 80's and 90's films. Sure, the quality and special effects back then are massively out done nowadays, but seriously the intensity of this film. The realness and the rawness the films had back then. They had to really try hard to make it look and feel good. We're too spoiled by technology now and it feels they don't have to try so hard. The music alone in older films pulls you in and makes it an intense experience. It feels like movies are slowly dying now. They lack that certain aire. Like the magic is dwindling away.

Big props for keeping it in 13/16! All subsequent versions of the theme are in 6/8, which sounds grander and "more correct", but Fiedel's original recording was in 13/16, and is the only song out there besides very niche projects to use this time signature.

I was a kid in 1980's when I first watched T1 on TV. I was terrified & fascinated at the same time.
When so many young people play so many wonderful cover songs ,like this one here, I feel that there is still hope for the world.
And Google, Amazon and Microsoft are still growing, acquiring the most profitable big datas and powerful wealth of the world. The sci-fi nightmares are still alive ;)

This is one of the best covers I have ever heard. This video launched my desire to buy a synthesizer and learn to play piano and keyboards. I now have 3 synths and am 6 months into lessons. And…I can play this on my synth. Cool!

Talent only gets you so far and hard work will always surpass pure talent.
Most if not all of these vidoes on RUclips have hours and years of practice and study behind them.
You dont get to this level of skill just by pure chance.
That means that everyone - and I mean literally everyone - who wants to do this is capable of getting there.
You just need the patience and some money to get entry-level gear.

Мировая музыка, мировой 4:56 фильм. Любой человек на планете смотрел эти шедевры (1,2) и никто не скажет , что это плохие фильмы. Боже, этот саундтрек , его можно слушать всю жизнь и не наслушаться. Он погружает не только в атмосферу фильмов о Терминаторе, но и заставляет вспомнить о своём детстве, когда собирал наклейки от жвачек с Арни и терминатором, клеил аккуратно на холодильник и чувствовал себя героем, когда играл в фишки CAPs во дворе с пацанами, когда устраивали войнушки с воздушками на пульках...Эх были времена. Помню как 1000 раз пересматривал VHS с этими фильмами.Как было грустно после просмотра второго фильма и страшно перед просмотром первого.Спасибо Джеймсу Кэмерону за такое видение в кинематографе, спасибо Брэду Фиделю за невероятную музыку и конечно же спасибо Великому Арнольду Шварценеггеру за исполнение самой великой роли в истории кино."Терминатор" это не просто название фильма или киборга ,это слово стало именем нарицательным на всех языках мира.В конце концов мы все умрём, а киборги - убийцы будут жить вечно )) Как сказал Т-800 - "I know why you cry now. Terminator и Terminator-2 , - навсегда в наших умах и сердцах.
Это шедевр.

1984 - это год моего рождения. Сам фильм я увидел году в 1991, наверное. Но это одна из лучших картин (как и вторая часть) того времени.
И не только того времени, но и этого тоже.

Absolutely, incredibly brilliant! Reminds me of sitting in the movie theatre on opening night when the theme song was playing. The excitement, the packed movie theatre and the intense anticipation during the song had the entire room hyped up for the film. Your rendition brought me right back to that Friday night in Toronto when I was in high school. WOW! Thank you so much for this. WELL DONE!
