Heimdall Snitches on Atreus 🤨 | God of War Ragnarok

- Atreus just fought Heimdall in Asgard. Heimdall was able to defeat Atreus until Thor stepped in. Odin then stops all the fighting. Odin then asks Heimdall why Atreus (also known as Loki) is covered in mud. Heimdall proceeds to snitch on Atreus, but Odin doesn't care. He is smarter than Heimdall. This is in the game God of War Ragnarok.

When I first saw this scene in shorts I thought it was a voice over at first😭
It’s funny because he is the God of Mischief and that would mean that would be synonymous with trickster 🤓
Loki is the Norse trickster god. I snorted when I first heard that line
He's literally saying that the way you would to a ferret. I have literally asked my ferrets if they were little tricksters in the exact same voice
Odin straight up told heimdall "thank you captain obvious."

He really say
"No shit heimall"

@@lordskull4382yeah but thought the game I just felt like damn this dude is nonchalant controlling Thor and even with Kratos with his reputation how strong does he gotta be to see these giants or strength and just act chill asf around them and even diss them

@@lordskull4382In these terms he's the opposite of Zeus. Zeus disguised himself as an old, wise, sage man when he was in fact younger and more powerful (you can see his true form during the Titanomachia cutscene in GoW 2, and gods don't age) but never hiding his power and might.
Odin only makes it look like he's a frail grandpa to manipulate others, hiding his magic and even his Gungnir spear from unsuspecting foes while still being a very capable fighter.
@@lordskull4382well Odin knew he wasn’t intimidating. I mean we all saw him flinch when Kratos threatened him. Odin didn’t intimidate because he didn’t need to exert his power to control the weak. His manipulation is what allowed him to stay in power over Thor, Heimdall, and Baldur
Heimdall: "My liege, the god of tricks and deception means to trick and deceive you"
Odin: "No shit, Sherlock"
Well obviously that’s not what he was at that point
Definitely NOT the reason Heimdall was saying that, and definitely NOT why Odin knew he wanted to betray him.

This is actually a form of deception on Odins part he is the all father he is all seeing he is purposely making himself seem like less of a threat by pretending to not know where Heimdall is hence Heimdalls confusion. @@Dirt-Fermer Any time I see people "blindly" hating on politicians, I just think of how ignorant they are
Almost like they learned to do that without looking into anything themselves. Believe it or not, most people will lie to you... even MORE than politicians
Most the time politicians aren't going to lie to you in the way you think they do, most the time it's simply because they cannot do something they promised. And if they tried, they'd make themselves look like even bigger liars, because of the drawbacks of forcing your politics onto a country that doesn't want them... hence, making them look like liars
Where politicians mainly lie - is when they believe in "something", but vote against it, when another party does the "something". Why? Because why vote for the original politicians when another politician beats you to it. Like US Repub's on immigration
My favorite part was:
“Were you planning on killing me outright?”
Atreus loosens the arrow “No…”

I bet if Heimdall had just stopped and thought to himself "ok this is most likely his first time to Asgard and due to his lack of knowledge of us Aesirs probably doesn't know how to Harm the All father or if he does he wouldn't harm him cause he is in the middle of Asgard and would be dead in seconds ehh I'll leave this giant alone" but I guess Odin puts it best he just doesn't think

Nah, he trust Heimdall words just that he didn’t see when Heimdall stepped to his other side
Its such a small detail that Odin does a 180 to turn to Heimdall, but since Heimdall moved and Odin can't see out of his right eye, he has to do a 270
I bet that was an accident and they kept it in
@@jarjarwalter1962 lmao they just put on an eyepatch to the actor with the motion capture suit
That would only make sense if it was his left eye blinded
I'm pretty sure Odin deliberately faked that to make himself appear vulnerable, and non-threatening. He's supposed to be the All-Seeing, All-Knowing, observant God-king, and he has plenty of enemies and people who hate him. If it was that easy to sneak up on him, he'd have been killed centuries ago
His right eye is blinded but heimdall was to his left. This doesnt make sense
Notice here that heimdall is surprised by odin's reactions. This shouldn't be possible because of heimdall's foresight. This is a hint that odin has somehow managed to trick heimdall's foresight and hence managed to gain his trust.
Whoever directed this scene is a god damn genius. The bit where Odin turns and Heimdall is gone is golden realism.
My favorite part about Heimdall is that upon beating the game myself, and the story director's words on a podcast, Heimdall actually has more noble reason for preventing ragnarök. In a twisted way. Because once you understand his powers, the "I see your mouth move, and i see cities burn" hinting at his mind reading powers but also the fact that loki may not habe the right reason to go to war with asgard. The lead director of the game has said that Heimdall wasn't kidding when he read loki and saw his intentions weren't to help people, but to simply destroy asgard and it's people (the asgardian's most likely not the midgardians stuck there)
Kratos 2.0. "We must be better". Will he remain the kind-hearted atreus in the future?
Yeah, he doesn't care about the people from asgard cause he knew a lot of bad stuff from them but he wanted to save Kratos
@@ShadowKiller_Chumbu but we see later on that Loki/Atreus that he has a change in perspective and that his old way of thinking was childish. And that it isn't as black and white as it seems. But we can be certain that he started his mission with 0 intent to help anyone.
@@themarinefan yeah but he still wanted the war and end of Asgard, i'm 100% sure that only people from Asgard he cared about was Thrud, Sif and maybe Thor (cause they are Thrud's family) and the people from Midgar
Heimdall can only read thoughts and intentions, not the future.
Basically he's just good at predicting things based upon the thoughts of the individual.
I like how you can see heimdal go next to Odin expecting him to confront Atreus but instead Odin just gives him sas like he was insulting him
Even more than that, shows a predilection to moving in Odin's blindspot. Acting when he thinks Odin isn't looking, always for the good of Asgard and Odin, but also for that "daddy's boy" little sneer behind his shoulder, as he calls down Odin on people, like the child always running to snitch to the parent thinking they'll get some kind of pat on the head.
Yet he still slinks around, himself, whenever he thinks Odin isn't watching
The break in saying heimdall when Odin turns and he’s not there fuckin kills me😂😂😂
Odin's voice is so comforting, he's like an old uncle
"Im just nessing around" got me dying 🤣

I hope he gets a job at the White House as Communications Director
he sounds like that one grandparent you love
I love how Odin had to pause cause he couldn’t see him😂😂😂
I love how Odin calls Atreus a "trickster" because he is Loki
Exactly!
After Atreus released Garm, Tyr-Odin said "what would lead you to such mischief? Is this Loki's doing?"
Ironically Atreus is a terrible liar in game. He hasn’t mastered the art of deception. But boy does he cause a lot of chaos in his wake.
Dammit I haven't gotten that far why did I read the comments lol
