    We just love the Canarian Islands. Actually, I first met my wife on Lanzarote, over 30 years ago. The Vulcanic origin of this Island obviously had its influence on our long lasting relationship, especially La Cueva de Los Verdes. It's located in a landscape called Malpais de La Corona. Anyhow, this bad land of La Palma reminds me of this devastated, but impressive Mal Pais.

    Have the police blocked off access to the high ridge in the background? I guess they must be worried about people going up there. Was it on this channel that the heat map data showed a circular grid pattern ? That was strange wasn't it ? I think so.

    Night time show is starting. Remember how Mark would do the same - become more active at night? I swear, I think it's got something to do with air pressure. During the day, sunlight pushes air pressure down towards the ground. When the sun goes down, the air pressure can ride, allowing the volcano to erupt more violently. An invisible cap is removed, so to speak. Maybe - I think it's possible. Iceland is on a Grimsvotn eruption watch, as I'm sure you know, with the glacier sinking more than 120 meters as of a report 24 hrs. ago. Also, the river flowing out of the glacier has greatly increased its volume. I'm also hearing RUMORS of increased seismicity at Geldingadalir. Can't find anything really official, though. Wondering if you've heard anything. Saw a seismograph reading, which was TRULY bizarre. Guess we'll just have to wait & see. You & Nina stay safe. (Typed "Mark" at the beginning of this comment. I meant "NAR", of course. Sorry!)

    • @Muskoxing
      @Muskoxing 2 года назад +3

      The force of sunlight doesn't effect air pressure at all, it's incredibly tiny. Actually, when air cools down, it gets denser, so air pressure should actually increase at night. Air pressure changes like that are really very small, I doubt they'd have much of an effect on eruptive activity anyways.
