really love their stuff but I 100% agree that it should be a one time thing, It's a great set of tools to have but I only need them every once in a while and the idea of needing to buy, register, and pay for sometimes all of their tools just for sometimes 1 day or 1 shot, it kinda sucks, let me pay you a fair price up front and then it's just mine
I'd probably pay for these tools for a one-time use. I have three faces I need scanned. Why can't I give you $3/head and track those three or something? Why is it $50/month or $400 to use it forever.

triggered! using 1000x1000 instead of 1024x1024 for your facial texture! Jk this is really helpful! The voronoi 'face censor' method is SUPER COOL reminds me of A Scanner Darkly kinda. Also I totally want to see a tutorial of the beard only talking.
Keen tools is pretty neat but paying over and over and over again for a tool you can't own is pretty not neat. Subscription models for tools need to make like dinosaur. I will never subscribe to a tool no matter how neat it is
Great tutorial my man, gotta point out, though, that the hair you added is too thin and fine, not wirey or blunt enough IMO to look perfectly realistic. Looks like a social app's filter. To fix this, and I may have missed it (sorry if I did) you could add slight randomness to the hair thickness to help with realism via either a driver / a clouds texture/ or by weight-paint with random values across the vertex weights, autogenerated on the animated mesh, plus you could add general minor randomness of the blondness value across the whole area and the occasional random blond/white hairs as outliers. Facial hair is naturally patchy, so randomly reduce follicular density in areas both randomly and selectively while you're there via same method. Batch it for efficiency. +please up the Subsurface scattering + put in a quick and dirty cuculouris made from a subdivided plane with many faces deleted via selection filtered by "random selection" with a value matching the broken lighting of the footage, its LocRot parallel to the local axis of a single point light's direction shining through it onto the render layer of the beard (manually matching the footage's lighting source direction). This shouldn't take long at all, and I think all of it will give you a more naturalistic outcome. Ps could you do something like parent some strands/clumps to wiggle bones to add secondary motion? sorry for the long message x
Very convenient. Only thing is that now with pretty decent video to video AI models tracking becomes an unnecessary process in half the cases. Supply an initial and an end frame, and it fill flow what happens inbetween. No rendering, no nothing. Just A to B. 3D, like Blender is still useful, but it's just used for supplying rough concepts. Having done tracking the old way for 20+ years, this is a gamechanger. I keep learning Blender techniques to keep up, but I find just not using them anymore. AI does 90% of VFX tasks already, except extremely difficult cases, or situations where there are multiple action planes that have to be timed. Still, in a year, I can see barely opening Blender or Nuke at all, except some final integration and cleanup...
now lemme ask you for a task: ####Do facial mo cap using geo, and then re target the same facial mocap to another 3d model face. "Basically, mocap at high fidelity in blender using geo while using your recorded facial acting and then re-target that facial mocap on another model, which should result in higher quality as compared to unreal engine's unreal live link which has only 52 shape keys functions using iphone targetted to 236 shapekeys, which is a marketing gimmick or a scam." #### in second stage reuse that facial mocap on auto rig pro models or, models having animations of their own. just retarget the facial mocap on them. do this and then i shall challenge you with even more higher level tasks

If you cancel it after the first month do you still have to pay for 11 other months? If not it's not as bad as Adobe. The problem with Adobe wasn't that they charged too many dolans. The problem with Adobe was it wouldn't let you stop paying them dolans and would force you to pay for a full year despite advertising a monthly cancel anytime subscription.
