Thank you for this awesome video. Checked my capacitors and both of them had failed. Bought some new ones from Digikey for a few bucks and now all working again!
This is very helpful. I've opened the backdoor of my Hisense TV and looked at the capacitors and they look good. I have the 'blinking red button' problem. What could be the reason for it and do you have any video showing how to fix it?
If you are getting the blinking red light and the screen turning on and off then it should definitely be those capacitors. Even if the capacitors don't look bulged out they may still be bad. I recommend replacing them or if you are still in warranty just replace the TV through your warranty.
Digi key order the 10uf 350v capacitors they are like .75 each for 12$ you can get them 2 day shipping… you need 2 but I’d order a couple extra 😊, good luck people
It's interesting that most of the tutorials on Hisense TV capacitor replacements point to these two specific capacitors. I wonder if that's a fault with the design of the TV or cheap capacitors. Well, at least capacitors are cheap to buy, making these TVs easy to maintain.
From my understanding they are using cheap capacitors thus only buying you several thousand hours of usage as opposed to 10s of thousands of hours of usage.
Took my circuit board to a TV repair shop and had the tech swap them out, and it's still doing the same thing. I have the correct capacitors and also tried the reset button as well, but still no luck. Could there be anything else causing this to happen?
Had one guy put the caps in upside down. Could be that or another issue. I'm not sure what else it could be. Hopefully you can get it resolved. Sorry I can't offer more help.
Wow, this was a great tutorial! However, will this work on my 65" Hisense TV? Mine blew out yesterday. I turned it on and it turned on fur a split second and went back of and wouldn't come back on after that and even after I unplugged it and left the house for the whole day.
You are very welcome and thank you for the compliment. Ive never done this on a 65 inch, but I would think the same rules apply. Just look for blown caps and replace those.
Ive tried to find a video to disassemble more of the tv to get to the glass where I have a crack but i cant find out how to further disassembly beyond what you show here!
Same deal Hisense 65" 4k Roku65. But I have no 10uf 350s on board on any of the three boards. On the power board I have a single black pair of 25uf 250V and 6 blue 470uf 25v caps. Ideas?
Man I wish I knew, but I have no knowledge of that model. My suggestion then is to look at all the capacitors and look for two things. 1. Check for any that are bulging at the end like I showed in the video. 2. Check and see if you can find where any fluid has come out. When mine ruptured it sprayed fluid on the black plastic panel covering the motherboard. It made it super easy for me to figure out which capacitors had blown. The fluid will be dry by this point, but it will still show where it hit and ran down. Other than that I'm not sure what else to do. Truly sorry you're going through this as well. Apparently this has been happening to a lot of people. Since I made this video and replaced mine my TV has worked without a hitch. I'm guessing Hisense got a deal on cheap capacitors.
@@EDFCentral Yeah the negative reviews are off the rails now on hisense in general. Not a fraction of a hint of any splatter or splatter remnants on the case back and all caps look clean, perfect and straight. I wish I had actually followed my idea of electronics back years ago but we were moving into the good economy and throw away society mode where people could buy another TV cheaper than send it to a shop or buy a new mower rather than visit a small engine mechanic. I used to fix electronics as a kid by some natural skill but as they moved into modules in TV's and such. I worked in a zenith shop at 16 when they were switching to modules and the guy I worked for couldn't fix stuff for double the cost of modules so I never started learning even before the throw away society started. I can almost see the writing on the wall, these kind of shops may be coming back with the economy going the way it is but i am far too old for that now. It would still be a nice hobby. :) appreciate the input. Wish I could post pics. Maybe there should be a hisense repair reddit, people could share fixit pics and comments rather than keep buying more hisense chineseum, keep some money here....
Thanks for that helpful info. I will say that I didn't have any trouble finding the caps using a 'U' when I searched for it. I think sellers are just substituting a 'U' in place of that symbol.
I got the soldering kit and my iron gets pretty hot but it doesn’t liquify the solder around pins so I could take out capacitors off? Isn’t even solder on????

Greetings. It seems I have the same problem with my Hisense-Roku YV Model 50RGE1 which all of a sudden it stopped working. The screen turned green with the logo on and off for a few seconds. Does not respond to my control and the ON/OFF button doesn't work either, as I unplug from the wall and comes on immediately with the green screen and the logo. Have not checked the capacitors and if necessary, will replace them. Hope this will fix the problem, as Hisense Tech Department was of no help at all. And the "warranty" had already expired.. How did you find out the Capacitors were the cause of your problem? Thanks for your video.
I researched it and saw a video that showed me what the issue was. However, the video didn't show you how to fix it and what you would need to do so. So here you go a step by step tutorial on what to do.
Great tutorial! Question! If I replace the capacitors will my tv be reset? I have all my streaming accounts and some I forgot the password to on there and was wondering if I’ll have to sign on again. Thanks!
@@EDFCentral Hey man just wanted to say thank you! I have ZERO soldering experiencing but gave it a shot and did an “okay” job but it fixed my tv! I appreciate you for showing me how to do this! Thank you!!
I've got a 65 inch hisense. Model 65R6E1. The capacitors aren't swollen at all but it shuts off and on. Tried unplugging it and waiting 60 seconds. Pressed the reset button and took the batteries off the controller. Wifi signal strength is good too. Should I replace the capacitors anyway to be sure?
If your TV turns on, goes to the HISENSE logo screen sits there for a few seconds and then turns off and then back on again repeating itself in a loop it is probably the capacitors. When you take the cover off the back of the TV look at the plastic backing and see if you can tell if any liquid has ran down the back of the plastic backing. You could see liquid from where the capacitor ruptured and squirted out onto the back of the plastic cover. If you see that just try to line it up with where it came from and it will help you to pinpoint if it was a capacitor and which one. On my TV you could see only slightly that the capacitor was raised a bit. It still looked closed, but it was raised just slightly. More than likely that is what your problem is as well.
@@EDFCentral I looked at the capacitors when I cracked it open and they're not bulged, popped or open at all. I was told it still could be that and to replace them anyways. I've got 6 25v 470uf, 3 350 v 10uf, and 2 50v 68uf capacitors. Should I replace all of them? Thx again for the reply and help!
@@elkuko8686 No, don't replace them all. Only replace the 350v 10uf ones first. These are the ones that usually cause the issue. Also sorry for the delayed response. RUclips didn't tell me you had replyed. It seems to pick and choose when it updates me these days.
@@EDFCentral no worries man I seriously appreciate the reply! I've been waiting on a pack of capacitors but I've got my soldering kit, rosin core solder, Flux just in case, and most of the capacitors. I took out the motherboard and it's sitting just waiting. You saved my ass from removing capacitors unnecessarily lol. Thanks again for that. I'll keep you posted once I replace and try to turn on the t.v. your help has been seriously valuable.
Yeah, apparently those caps only have so many hours on them before they stop functioning. I've also learned that not all caps are created equal. So quality caps get you more hours.
I looked to see if they were bulging and the one that ruptured was indeed bulging and had squirted juice all over the back cover. Thats the only thing I did.
I did exactly what you're talking about and put the right capacitor back in there and I did this twice and they blew both times I can't keep the capacitors from blowing. It lasts about 2 weeks to a month and then they blow
@@brenthopkins9030 It could be a batch of bad capacitors. I replaced mine over a year ago and they are still working or could be a worse issue with the TV. You could get online and buy a new motherboard for it for a lot cheaper than a new TV. Really sorry man.
Do you have a link to the exact capacitors you used? My TV doesn't turn on anynore, the red light just flashes, same model. Thinking it's the capacitors and wanted to check. Is there a way to visually identify a bad capacitor?
In the video I show you what a bad capacitor looks like. The end is usually swollen. The link to what I bought no longer works as I just tried it. But what you want is 10uF 350v capacitors.
Sorry I meant to say is there any other indicators that visual besides the swollen ends like you showed in the video. I'm about to order some capacitors and see what happens.

Hello everyone, I've got a 65R6E1 and before I decide to operate, can anyone tell me if this model is any different than the one in the video? I suppose I'm lucky to have 4 years rather than 2 as I've seen in these videos. I had a 55" of the same brand that crapped out, and my wife got rid of it before I could even look at it. I think my biggest problem will be finding a good place to work on it. Thanx in advance to you all.
think to next time its hard for us to know what that tv did before you exchange that capasitors your should to a before then after just a tip but good work :D
Hello mate iam from the UK I've got the same tv i bought it new 2 month ago turn it off last night an this morning it won't turn on there's no power light
Man, truly sorry for your troubles. Nothing worse than buying new electronics only to have them go kaput in no time. Reminds me of all the Xbox 360 systems I had issues with. Anyway, definitely give the capacitors a check like I demonstrate in this video. However if you aren't getting any power at all it may be a different problem. The problem I cover here still has power running to the TV, but the TV turns itself on and off repeatedly. However its worth your time to just pop the back off and see if you have any noticeably blown capacitors. However from what I'm learning, sometimes they can be blown and not show it like mine did in this video. However if you aren't getting any power at all it could be that your power supply has gone bad and I've never replaced one of those. On another note, double check and make sure the cable that goes into the back of your TV hasn't come lose as that may be the simple solution and hopefully is the problem.
My tv went out 2 days ago i dont have a blinking light its just a black screen i still can hear everything i took back cover off as u did and i can see that something is lit up bright white thru the little holes
Here's what you need to try. Turn on TV. Get your roku remote and press home 5 times, up one time, rewind button two times and fast forward button two times. Now wait a few minutes while your TV reboots. This should fix the issue.

@@kevinhollingsworth1410 In my opinion, I don't think your screen is the problem. So hopefully that reset fixed yours as well.

On my 65 inch Hisense android tv it turns on for a sec and turn off and on the light blinks and turns off I opened it up and none of the capacitors look blown there flush so do I replace them idk?
I'm not sure, but it definitely sounds exactly like a cap problem. It's doing exactly what my 55 inch was doing. If the board looks like mine then try replacing those caps I show in the video.
If the light is flashing on and off it is probably the capacitors that need replacing. My light would flash on and off as well repeatedly when my capacitors blew.
Well I had the same problem, but after I open up the TV, I saw two wires loose from the connector on the main board, I repaired the loose wires, still was having the problem while watching the TV, so I replace the HDMI cable on HDMI 1 with a new HDMI cable and no more problems with TV cutting off by it self. problem solved! Chinese or not, any brand, they all use 8 cent capacitors when they could pay 50 cents per capacitor and NEVER have an issue with them even after 10 years...
@@drbaldtv2447 That simply isn't true. My 2022 Panasonic OLED (a real Panasonic not a rebrand) uses Panasonic and NCC caps, and looking on ebay the recent Sony are using Rubycon. It's probably why Panasonic have died off in this field - better parts equals "uncompetitive" in the modern world order, if your set is $50 more expensive than the next guy for the same spec you lose out. I will grant you that Samsung and LG use Korean caps (for obvious reasons) that still tend to be inferior, but they should still run for longer than two years. To be fair though I don't mind HiSense generally, they are at least cheap for what they are, and you pay your money and take your chances. The company I despise are TPV, who sell under the Philips brand at premium prices, when the truth is they're the usual cheap Chinese stuff but tarted up to seem premium.

Thats awesome to hear! Glad you were able to get everything up and running again.
Duuuuude u are the fricken man duude I fixed my TV 🎉❤ so much love for u and blessing ❤
Awesome! Glad you were able to get your TV fixed. Someone taught me how to do it, so I wanted to provide a clear and easy to understand instructional video with the steps displayed and not just discussed. I wanted others to see what was going on and how to fix it without guess work. Your response shows me that I succeeded at that.
Your the man!!!! Thank you for the awesome content! Keep it up. MUCH LOVE
You are very welcome! Glad it helped you.
Thank you for this awesome video. Checked my capacitors and both of them had failed. Bought some new ones from Digikey for a few bucks and now all working again!
Awesome! Glad to hear it!

You are very welcome
Thank youuuuuu. I did exactly what you said, and got my TV working again.
@@shaq3344 That's awesome! Glad to hear it!
@@EDFCentral It just the blinking red, the screen remains black. Does it change anything?
@@EDFCentral Should I use a multimeter to check if electricity comes out?
Thanks guy I tried everything and looked and both was blown ordering and hope it fixes it
Hope you were able to fix your TV.
Digi key order the 10uf 350v capacitors they are like .75 each for 12$ you can get them 2 day shipping… you need 2 but I’d order a couple extra 😊, good luck people
What an absolute video, dude! Way to be 🎉
Glad it helped!
Thank you, fixed my tv with the same issue.
You are very welcome. Glad it worked.
@@reevis9425 Yeah I've never disassembled it further than this.
350 10 micro farad , the U character is actually an µ , so 10µf. this is to help anyone who is trying to find the part.
Try turning up the temp on the iron. Try 400 degrees
Idk man I have the same blinking red light problem but none of the capacitors are bulged. Maybe one is just bad
I'm hearing from others that sometimes they don't bulge like mine did, but are still bad.
@@EDFCentral I had a bunch of usb stuff attached to the back of the tv when I turned my stuff on last night it just all failed and then my problem started. I just ordered a bag of them for $8 we’ll see if it works 🤞

Thanks!
I didn't have to. All it's doing is fixing the screen so it turns on again. Everything else should remain as is. Mine stayed the same.
@@EDFCentral Hey man just wanted to say thank you! I have ZERO soldering experiencing but gave it a shot and did an “okay” job but it fixed my tv! I appreciate you for showing me how to do this! Thank you!!
@@WillyManchester10 You are very welcome. Someone showed me how and now I want to pass it along.
Thank you brother, much appreciated.
Awesome! Glad it worked.
It absolutely worked!
Thats great to hear!
Hi Maybe you can help me my Hisense has the red led on but when i try to turn it on is giving 3 flashes what could be the problem?
If the TV is flashing on and off. Going to the Hisense logo then off again and then on again. That would be the capacitors have gone bad.
2 year ago I fixed my TV like this might be time to do it again
Yeah, apparently those caps only have so many hours on them before they stop functioning. I've also learned that not all caps are created equal. So quality caps get you more hours.
did you test the capacitors or just that you saw some "juice" on the back cover?
I looked to see if they were bulging and the one that ruptured was indeed bulging and had squirted juice all over the back cover. Thats the only thing I did.
I did exactly what you're talking about and put the right capacitor back in there and I did this twice and they blew both times I can't keep the capacitors from blowing. It lasts about 2 weeks to a month and then they blow
Do you have any ideas on what I should do?
Treat the capacitors with respect. If they still hold energy they can do some damage on your hands
@@nemesisbreakz Any advice for dealing with them? Besides unplugging the TV and holding the power button for 30 seconds or so?

Hi bruh, I just one capacitor where you have 2 is it normal, the ones that horizontal ? My mom went to repair and it was too expensive, maybe they remove it ?
If you have the same tv as mine then you should have two capacitors
Hello everyone, I've got a 65R6E1 and before I decide to operate, can anyone tell me if this model is any different than the one in the video? I suppose I'm lucky to have 4 years rather than 2 as I've seen in these videos. I had a 55" of the same brand that crapped out, and my wife got rid of it before I could even look at it. I think my biggest problem will be finding a good place to work on it. Thanx in advance to you all.
I'm honestly not sure, but its worth looking inside to see if you see any leakage or swollen caps.
think to next time its hard for us to know what that tv did before you exchange that capasitors your should to a before then after just a tip but good work :D
0:43 is where I tell you what the tv was doing. Thank you for the tip.
You need to reset your TV. I'll get the reset code for you and be right back
Here's what you need to try. Turn on TV. Get your roku remote and press home 5 times, up one time, rewind button two times and fast forward button two times. Now wait a few minutes while your TV reboots. This should fix the issue.
Thanks buddy about to try that so sense I can see that it do have lights in the tv do that mean the led lights in the inside Good about to try the reset u gave me ill give update hope it work
@@kevinhollingsworth1410 In my opinion, I don't think your screen is the problem. I've had them run updates on the TV that caused it to glitch where all I could hear was sound and no picture or the colors would be messed up. A quick reset of the TV always fixed it. So hopefully that reset fixed yours as well.
@EDFCentral Update ..I did the code u gave me it still black screen maybe 1 off the capacitors went out that wired how the tv faded away until it was black only had tv 2 years hate 2 throw it away
I have a 58 inch hisense my screen went out and the light keep coming on and off is it the screen or the LED light
This TV have a Beautiful picture, that why I would like to keep it, instead of getting rid of it.
Yes it does produce a great picture
Can you send me the size and link to find that capacitor
The cap size is listed in the video. I can't remember it off the top of my head. I think it was 10uf. You can get them off of ebay for like 10 bucks.
The capacitor for my televions was the 350v 10uf. You can get these from Ebay, Amazon or any other place that sells electronic components.
I can solder and braise copper all day long. I have to fix my daughters tv so I guess dad is about to learn to use a soldering iron instead of a torch 😂

Mine is shutting off intermittently, but only when connected to the Internet-Netflix, RUclips, etc. It will work fine with a Blu-ray. I couldn’t see any problems visually with the capacitors. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
This one is beyond me. Apparently it seems your tv is having issues with either the network software or the ethernet port on the TV if you are using that. Go into system settings and make sure you have the latest firmware update.
I have a 58r7e1 and how can I find out the capacitor I need to buy ?
If you look on the blown capacitor itself, it will show you the model number you need.

Make sure your new caps aren't burst due to being defective.
Did you make sure of the polarity! Capacitors have a positive side and a negative side. The + side is clearly marked on the board.
My 1.5 yr Hisense 58r6e3 went,no pic or sound just red blinking light, have no idea if its the board or something else,no swollen caps

What is your question?
You have any modded ps1 or ps2 available?
No, I don't have any of those for sale.
@EDFCentral I was just messing around. But I did just pull apart this hisense and both capacitors are blown
What if the capacitors look fine? How do i even deal with a 450v capacitor? Cant it kill me? Lol...
If your TV is doing what I stated in the video then it should be the caps regardless if they are bulging or not. Can't hurt to replace them if tv is broke already. Worth a shot.
This is are all the things i tried even before watching this video, still wont turn on

@@02Nawal To each their own.
For a two year old TV to be blowing capacitors in the 2020s is completely unacceptable. But then this is Chinese, so what do you expect.
Exactly! Shouldn't have to do this only two years in. Things are made so cheap anymore.
