Amazing
If you cut together all of the clips of James from this series, it will just be a video of him losing the will to live
Florence Ball someone tell Shannon
Florence Ball but is he still a chef? 😂
@@katietye3673 That's the real question😂😂
Slowly but surely....
@@lisaisaprincess23 i'll be the third vote, and i says "aye"!
PASS IT ON - using only "useless" gadgets from vol.1-11
Oh my yes that would be incredible
Yes! Janice please please can we have this????
Love it!
Leó 😱THAT WOULD BE GLORIOUS
They finally made the video
“WHY would you scoop a sausage?!” Ben’s outrage kills me. 😂
The next line was even better... "You want to tong a sausage!"
He wants to tong a sausage
"Why would you scoop a sausage, you tong a sausage." The motto of House Ebbers, Chef of the Iron Skillet, Lord of Bennuenndo.
YES!
It was so perfect and Benlike. Innocently suggestive.
*tongue

Do a pretentious dish battle, where they need to create the most pretentious dish possible within a set budget.
teppo tulppu twist: each person has to use an ingredient from their pretentious series!
Recipes for Royals, perhaps?
Pretentious pass it on sounds better.
This is a genius idea.
Anna Pettit just hand Barry the brownie point
*"Open the flap, get your fingers in"*
*"My ball's dripping"*
*_Oh the Bennuendos_*
you missed "you want to tong a sausage"
James yelling "FALL OFF" at the salad spinner perfectly encapsulated his entire mood during this video and I am most definitely here for it.
Don't think i've ever seen Ben so angry at a gadget before and it's hilarious
HE SO MAD
Yeah, normally james is the grumpy one. I cant stop laughing at ebbers face during the tong segment.
What's really hilarious is he's mostly mad because he put it back together backwards. The "pouch"of the tongs was bending backwards
Yeah I think so too. Never saw Ben that angry lol
Most aggressive "You decide" in Sorted history. Genuinely laughed out loud.
Put...put the ice cream ball in the salad spinner...
But the spinner only works for 3 minutes
too big to fit.
(that's what she said)
Maybe I'm spending too much time on reddit but this makes a great expanding brain meme:
Using the salad spinner to dry salad : [small brain.jpeg]
Using a ball to make ice cream: [shiny sparkly brain.jpeg]
Putting the ice cream ball in the salad spinner: [illuminated brain shooting out rays of brilliance that can light up a thousand worlds.jpeg]
I really wish they did it :D
@@cisalzlman You and your logic can go home Charles
Give this man a genius
i really want to give James a hug when he said "maybe I'm not fun" , poor lad looked sorta heartbroken there for a second
Ah, yes. A toy ball you cannot drop, kick, throw or bounce.
*Not much of a bloody ball, there, are ya!?*
... the ef do you call something shaped like that then?
@@gustavowadaslopes2479 a sphere
@@keco185 hmm, like a ball?
@@gustavowadaslopes2479 ball gets defined as: a solid or hollow spherical or egg-shaped object that is kicked, thrown, or hit in a game.
@@keco185 so hit is enough?
The electric salad spinner has successfully drained James will to live.
At least it drained something, it surely didn't drain the salad enough
That salad was wet and made Janes wet too. (He cries at how useless it was)
Mavicity 😂
we live to watch James' pain using the gadgets...
"I'm not shocked because it's physics" Goes on to explain everything. God I adore this man 😂😂
He's a supergeek! Supergeek! He's super geeky!
Mekhala M. Where did super geek go though!?
Ben losing it over the shite "tongs" is hilarious! Also at 9:08 when he says "dads can do everything!" *cue Jamie opening the icecream ball and whispering "such a dad"
Ok, this is my favorite Gadge video so far. I adore how Ben is literally, genuinely pissed off at those tongs. MORE GADGE!! :D
Something about "gadge" just sounds so wrong😆
@@anjobanjo1221 Yeah, I agree, but I'd literally just paused it after Baz said 'more gadge', so it seemed appropriate. :D
@@anjobanjo1221 coz it sounds like "vag"
How about a ‘Pass it on’ video using only gadgets? 😆 preferably the more useless ones
Honestly I think they would all cry 😂
That's to mean 🤣 put out 5 of the items and they have to use one each during their round. Making the last person forced to use what's left
I would cry too...from laughter
Erica Erixon or make them draw lots for each item.
So Ben went from "I don't have a child."
To "He likes physics."
I have a challenge: what if the chefs try to make a recipe in a short amount of time with the worst gadgets they had ever review??? 🤔
Doctor Cyberman love this suggestion 👍👍
@sortedfood, pls make it so 😃😂.
P.S. Love you guys (from Australia). I was introduced to your channel, by my kids 👍
That sounds like a disaster. let's do it! :D
I've missed Tyrone! Glad to hear he's following his father's footsteps #SuperGeek
Tyrone is such a throwback!! And i love how ben gives us updates on him once in a while, i appreciate that
Who is Tyrone?
@@MrAposko Ben’s son 😌
@@takemetoglasgow09 who isn't real?
@@MrAposko i don’t know who told you that but tyrone is very much real! Ben even said he’s already in school???
I think it would be cool if you guys did battles based on these gadgets... would so watch it!!!!
Good idea, the contestants can only use a handful of the gadgets that they've already reviewed.
this is a brilliant idea
Agreed!!
I'd rewatch those a dozen times.
Omg that could become a sabotage!! Like only being able to use those given gadgets or basing a dish on using the gadget
"why would you scoop a sausage, you want to tong a sausage" - best line of the whole video
#teamben
That and "my balls dripping" 😂
The electric potato pealer is fairly common in Sweden. Every summer swedes eat tonnes of "nypotatis", "new potatoes". They are these small dainty mostly round potatoes which if you want to peal rather than just wash the potatoes will just disappear. Also they take forever to peal being so small. That machine will peal the potatoes far far faster than anyone could ever peal them. And it sertainly doesn't take 3 minutes, you would have nothing left by then :P
Though, for regular sized potatoes, you are correct. It's faster to just peal them by hand.
---
Potato peeling machines generally are also used in the ingredient-preparation-industry
( our school in which I studied industrial-food-engineering also had an old-timey one ).
Especially in case of vacuum-packaged potatoes (for hygiene reasons) which are used in the "central kitchens"
( basically much larger kitchens that prepare food for other facilities like schools, hospitals, etc. larger facilities that necessarily are not possible to equipt with a large enough kitchen ).
It certainly makes several kilograms of potatoes peeling a lot faster even if there is usually need to go through with a potato peeling knife.
---
As for the "new potatoes", we Finns primarily tend to just eat then all up since majority of the times the skin (of our potatoes) just is pretty much non-existent especially is washed with a scrubber
( and yes, there is also glove-shaped ones available nowadays ).
---
---
---
why would you peel new potatoes? the skin is fiber which is very healthy, and them being new is very thin, if anything, it makes the potatoes better
Daniel Sultana I struggle to think of a potato dish where new potatoes would be an advantage and need peeling. The only thing I can think of is MAYBE scalloped potatoes, but even that is a stretch.
@@PaveMentman I've worked in a couple of fish and chip shops, and the professional potato peel machines are perfect, but obviously way too big for any home cook. There's a lot more to preparing in f&c shops than people would realise! And nasty on the back.
Yeah, but just do what my dad does.... use the power wash to peal the potatoes ;)
For next time:
- The Bacon Master
- Motorized Ice cream cone
- Noodle splatter shield (we need to see James wearing it)
- Garlic Zoom
Tara M you demented individual. I love it.
The tongs have 1 exceptional use. To fully piss Ben off.
I can guarantee that any video challenge wherein Ben has to use those tongs for any part of it has a 90% chance of those tongs being tossed across the studio. And more bleeps than usual. And one supersonic peep of outrage, at least. Please find more of the worst things in history to make Ben test, because his enraged gerbil impersonation gives me life.
Ben: you decide.
James: guys it's horrible... horrible.
James in all these videos has the same energy as Alan Tudyk making chicken noises and then looking at the camera and saying “I went to Juilliard”
CURVEBALL: The Normals have to use one of these gadgets while cooking
Or even better... _The chefs_ . Although I think that may qualify as a war crime in some nations.
They all have to use the tongs
@@hambo4579 I think that violates the Geneva Convention.
@@cryofpaine screw that convention, this is the kitchen all war is legal
I'm surprised Ben was grumpier than James this episode 😂
Ben can still get angry while James has just given up, poor guy :P
Maybe a bit grumpier but James is losing the chefs will to live with ever gadet
“Dads can do everything”
You’re a dad too Ben...
Is he?
Dean Carter its a joke haha they made up a fake son for him called Tyrone
12:20 😳 Tyrone's going to big boys' school now and learning physics! 😍
Love to see chefs vs normals replicating internet food hacks. Tell us is the hack Useless or not?
😂😂 I think this is the first gadget video where Ben is more heated than James over the uselessness of these devices 😂😂
Imagine a cooking battle where knife are replace by tools of this video ¡¡
So like...instead of cutting something with a knife, you throw the electric salad spinner and potato peeler at it.
Please!! They NEED to do this!
100%. I think Food Network does something similar? Where the chefs have to use bad kitchen items in a competition.
omg yes please
After watching him struggle with the tong spatula for so long, all I could think of was exactly that. Useless or Not Gadget Battle please! Side note: if he just bent the spatula rubber back the other way, they might have actually worked.
"You are so strong."
"I am so strong."
"So strong."
"do not drop, kick, throw, or bounce." Well then how are you supposed to play with the flippin thing?
Roll it back and forth. Fun for four year olds, for about 30 seconds. The admonition about throwing it is that someone has to catch it, it's hard not soft, and then they have to not drop it.
@@emjayay Even four year olds, their first instinct would be to throw it. Doesn't matter if anyone is around the catch it. A four year old's play time is not so structured.
I just want an hour compilation of Ben being forced to use those tongs/spatula thing.
What we need is for Ben to be forced to use them in a pass-it-on video.
@@Pavium pass it on but using kitchen gadgets where they can!
Ha! 🤣
@@athenacaputo they have to use this idea. The comments section could match a gadget to a person or maybe just pick a gadget out of a hat
I was SO looking forward to 20 minutes of Ben playing with that ice cream ball...
"You want to tong a sausage!"
Dead. 😂😂😂
I've never see somebody rage so bad at a pair of tongs. This is the quality entertainment I come for 😅
"You don't scoop a sausage!? You tong a sausage!" Has now become my new t-shirt slogan.
So good to hear about Tyrone after such a long time! We've all missed that kiddo.
Never get tired of these! 🤣
The best thing is the chefs very aggressively dissing the gadget the whole time and ending with, "Useless or not? *you* decide! -_-" hahahhaha
Just found out some bad news about my mum’s health and seeing this video has given me so much happiness in a time when I’m panicking. Thank you so so much guys - you’re honestly bringing light into an otherwise dreary day x
James: maybe I'm not fun
Me: Aw James :(
Also Ben's rage at those tongs is possibly the highlight
well clearly the guys need to take James out and rediscover his sense of fun- and make a video (or a series of videos) about it
@@MercenaryPen I think he's plenty of fun. Dry humor works as well. I would not be opposed to having a series about him, though. :D

can you _please_ explain to me who tyrone is
ben's son
@@hafshahl249 back during earlier days of sorted, they have a little running gag about Ben having a son named Tyrone. The last joke i remember about Tyrone is that Ben sold him for a set of japanese knives.
Oh my god! Ben got Tyrone back! And actually acknowledges him, and cooks with him. I'm so happy they made up.
Who is tyrone?
Tyrone is Ben's son, first mentioned in the ice gems episode years ago. Ben often denied Tyrone even existed, and even traded him for a knife at one point.
Oh my god yes! Why is no one talking about Tyrone in the comments?!!! Ben’s precious little boy is now all grown up! ❤️
When do they first mention Tyrone? This was the first I'd heard of him.

Ben is seriously the cutest. This channel is the only one I've ever literally laughed out loud at. My friends in the U.S. are all so confused when I things like the hob or give it a crack. Its great!
seriously though.... the noise of the ice cream maker int he background is enough to drive some of us crazy LOL

James' personality really shines through in this and its super cute~!!!
I absolutely adore how different Ben and James's reviews are one being brutally honest and the other playfully fun.
Keep making these amazing videos guys lol.
James sliding onto the table at the potato peeler salad spinner was such a MOOD
"Why would you scoop a sausage? You wanna tong a sausage!"
This is the quality content I show up for. 😂
This is the first sorted video I watched and it's so bizarre coming back with the realization it's been over two years... I love the boys.
Ben's rage over the tongs and James' despair over the potato peeler/salad spinner... omg, I could not stop laughing!
“Maybe I’m the one that’s not fun”- never I have related more to James. My reactions were similar to his on all of these.
P.S thanks for the Tyrone update
Watching Ben use those tongs upside down for three minutes was killing me inside.
I kept thinking to myself, just turn them over, Ben!! lol
until he did use it the other way. ben was using it the right way all along haha
Barry at Virgin Kitchen used the tongs and did not have the same problem. I definitely think it was Ben.
the scoop just needed to be pushed to the other side when he flipped them

Ironically that was what I thought was the whole purpose with this channel, since the first videos I watched was the gadget videos. Then suddenly the cooking videos started to pop up too and made me realize that it was a cooking channel. They really fooled me :P
You should do a crossover episode of these reviews with Barry Lewis. I think all of you combined would just be hilarious.

Best episode yet. Their reactions were everything! 😂😂😂
Im a simple man. I see chefs review kitchen gadgets, I like.

Ohmygoodness, Tyrone! That’s a bit of an OG subscriber reference that hasn’t been mentioned for a while, but I like that Ben just went with it 😂 great video as always guys!
I really enjoy these videos. A suggestion for the future -- compare vintage kitchen gadgets to their modern counterparts.
"You wanna tongue a sausage"
Wise words...
In middle school we made ice cream with 2 ziplock bags 😂😅
Howwww
@@Missmethinksalot1 Put the ice cream base into a ziplock bag. Then put that bag in a bigger bag filled with ice and salt. Agitate the bags until the ice cream is solid. It works, but it is also really unpleasant, because after a few minutes your hands are wet from the condensation and thoroughly frozen.
Kirsten Paff it’s better to do this with two cans. I used to do with two different size coffee cans. Put baggie with your ice cream custard in the smaller can and ice and salt in bigger one. Drop smaller can in larger one, seal everything, and then kick it back and forth. It’s called “kick the can “ ice cream. Kids and adults seem to have fun with it. We’d do it at bbqs and picnics. Or use the baggie method and just wear gloves.
For salad spinning I use a pillow case. I put the greens it and then go outside and twirl it. Kids like this too. And it’s really fun at a dinner party to hand someone salad in a pillowcase then tell them to step outside and twirl it. When someone doesn’t know about this hack, the look on their face is hilarious.
Thank you, guys! I was feeling a bit down, but each of you trying to use those worthless scooping tongs had me laughing out loud! Especially, "Why would I scoop sausages!" 😂
I actually groaned "Nooooooo!" at the electric potato peeler and salad spinner. 😂Only useful for those who can't grip a regular peeler. And I would NOT want cleanup duty on a couple of these items!
The sound of the ice cream ball in the background just made this video all the more hilarious! Thank you! 🤣🤣🤣
"I've never played bools." Ben was in fine form here. This might be my favorite Kitchen Gadgets ever!

Ben was screaming bloody murder like he was in that film.
I 100% expected the spatutongs to work when Ebbers flipped them over.... I was so so wrong
I think they would have if he had pushed the flap the other way. It was bent the other way for James so I think it just needed to be pushed.
