Can one use the Launchpad JUST as a stem launcher? Like say you throw all the stems you want on it, in a way for better live arrangements and then just press to launch?

I'm sure you figured it out but, just in case, you can use the 'velocity' midi effect to change the color of the lights. If you want the lights to move around, you can use the 'Arpeggiatio' midi effect.
Hi thank you for the vid! I have a question...Does anybody know if there is a way to move a clip to an empty clip space using the launchpad? I found the duplicate button but it only duplicates it straight down one space. Is there any way that I can duplicate a clip to an empty clip space that I choose? Can I copy and paste a clip somewhere or move a clip to a new space? If anyone could answer this, it would be very helpful! thanks!

Just think of it as an instrument, where every pad is a piano key with ableton being able to send data out to it.

Not possible by default. Google launchpad95 for a good solution.
Anyone know how to use a launchpad in GarageBand?
