I've been using ableton for the majority of this year and am pretty familiar with it. I'm just learning about the instrument rack's ability to filter certain midi ranges for different uses like that!

Any shortcuts to arm/dissarm tracks? It seems a bit slow to change to mixer, find the right buttons then switch back in time to start recording again without to much time passing by.

I have a question. Looking at people’s launchpad covers, some people tap the same button without changing pages and different sounds and lights play. How is this executed in Ableton?
this could be two different techniques but it seems like it's multisampling. use the builtin Random device and switch it to alternating mode

It’s might be a little advanced for now but do you now how to set the button to stop the previous sample played to avoid two samples playing the same time ?

for 99% of projects, no. You'll need Max for Live, with either Trial or Suite

Is it possible to transpose the instruments in a instrument rack so that they are + or - a couple of octavs without changing midi note mapping?
just put pitch midi effect before instrument

yes
When adding samples to the drumrack, if I double-click anything, the drumrack is replaced by a different dialog, and I cannot reopen it (the assignments are all gone).
doubleclicking loads it into the whole track (you can undo if it happens). you should drag stuff inside
the grid buttons work but the top row buttons have no functions, is my launchpad broken?

I don't get how you were able to play the whole piano on the entire board, I can't get it to make any sound.

These tutorials will also work for 10 Lite, up until the point of requiring Suite for more advanced techniques

depends more on what you want to eventually go for, if you have no idea it's still an okay starting point
