It is fader settings the thing that looks like the word PAD. It is actually FAD (for fader), and the setting is for velocity sensitivity on faders. EDIT: spelling lel

Don't know if it's possible or not but can you please do a tutorial for setting up single button light triggers on a launchpad X? Like pressing a button within a drum kit or something and having an effect play, there's no videos out there that show how to do this.

Thanks for the tutorial, we have a LaunchPro (not MK3) and we are trying to customize it, so that we can map the bottom-row (or any row) to audio-effects (cross-fader). As the Launchpad Pro is organized 4x4, we are unable to have a continuous 8 pads row (C1 to F1) to do the Midi Mapping. We also seem to be unable to use the tool by Novation (Component) to customize our Launchpad. Any suggestions? And, is Launchpad Pro, basically a scam, compared to any other model?
Hopefully I am nearing the upgrade of my PA4x to a PA5x by the use of a few simple tools. 1.) In order to achieve the non-existant pads on the PA4x I've purchased and 2.) using Ableton Live 11 to achieve the dual style playback which will be the more difficult of the two enhancements by far. With the PA4x sounds that are not on par with the PA5x, these should be obtainable via Ableton Live and the "High End" Plugin Library I've built for use in Ableton Live. As Ableton does support an External MIDI Clock Sync (Not merely the MIDI TIME Code "MTC), ths should be doable. Ableton not supporting a TRUE Programming Landuage will definately make things more difficult in creating styles based on Chord Changes so I may be forced to use Logic Pro for the 2nd, IN SYNC, Style Play. Either way, I plan on making this "FREE TO THE WORLD" as I'd truly like to see arranger keyboards get better acceptance from the Professional World at least in the US where they seem to be frowned on. Wish me luck :)
I am looking for a tool to use in order to control audio background for a live radio theater of sorts. That looks like a proper tool but I am not sure if I can assign longer samples. Like a 10 minutes crowd in the cafe or the sound of a river that I could toggle on with the press of a button, instead of holding it to play. Does that tool do the job for me and could you direct me to proper tutorials for that?

Hey man, I have a question. I have a problem with mine, first of all I wanted to connect my Launchpad X together with my Piano midi controller in Ableton set up in different channels. So I Putted my Piano Controller is in channel 1 and the Launch pad X is in Channel 9. Only Problem is that when I arm a drum track to play the Launch pad X in a drum track, it thinks it is a normal instrument and goes into melody mode instead of drum mode, and now it does not even show a drum grid pattern of Ableton in my Launchpad X, it still plays the sound, I only can't visually see where they are. I think it is because I have change in preference-> link midi: the input and output to lauchpad_x instead of MIDIIN2 (LPX MIDI). So how can I play both of my controllers without having problems of them interfering with each other?
What can i do with the latency? I mean when I want to record/loop keys, synths but Insbesondere the drums...so when I hit the button its has a latency and I can't do it fast and accurantly! Pls help!
so what do i do if i just have the charger and the launchpad. i threw the box out awhile ago ad lost the code. any help? is there a way i can buy the app thing or do i have to buy a whole new one :(
Bruh, you can just download SUPER PADS LIGHTS in your phone, tablet, or ipad. Then make your own song there and then connect it into your launchpad. (I recommend watching Kaskobi’s video) and that’s it. *MISSION PASSED*
i have a few id say 6 at least of the series x amd want to learn to play noisia groundhog (beat juggle) on it while also haveing 4 launchpad minis and they are all brand new

BUT I'd add to my statement, because to make a future bass track there's no difference between normal ableton and lite in regards to the process, you just have less tracks :)
From what I gather that's a fair assessment. Novation just seemed to trim the fat off the Pro and Mk2 and give the ability to customize with the programming mode

Is it DAW agnostic? Looking for a small box that has transport controls only on it and works with the transport controls in any DAW.
