Growing up, junkyards like this were commonplace. You just didn’t think twice about them. Boy, is that changing. In just a few years, I guess they’ll be as rare as pay phones. Just a sad reality.

I was a gear head teenager in the mid 1970's. I loved walking through our local salvage yard. Rows and rows of 1960's and early 1970's muscle cars. Road Runners, Camaro's, Charger's, Mach 1's, GTO's, 442's, Super Bee's, Chevelle's and so many more. I remember three 1957 Chevy 2 door Belair hard tops sitting side by side in a row. Those cars were parted out and then eventually ran through the crusher. Could a, would a and should a.

Most of the ones that have parts I could use for the car I'm doing as a memory of the love I have for my late dad and grandpa I have to travel 12 hours to go look for parts so I have to wait till I get the money saved up for a trip. All of the older windshields on a rack caught my eye cause it's hard to find original stuff like that if they're still good...I'm seeing so many things that are in great shape and for the low budget hotrod builders, I've seen so many solid looking bodies and I can't stand the thought of the owner having to maybe crush em. Maybe a 4th of em wouldn't hurt to crush but I've seen so many that I'd love to have but I'm financially embarrassed and everything I see is just a dream lol...What you're doing is a good thing for the owner and I'm hoping it helps to bring more people in to save so many of em
