Beautiful and fantastic idea Xeno! The only concern would be the riggers' attachment to the stretcher through these flimsy rivets. It looks like a recreational boat because ot this. Would be great with the proper riggers!
Hi! I have no problem rowing it with my fitness level. HOWEVER, current sub 6'/2K Olympians, I would suggest to put a wing rigger on it. For steady state rows, any beast can enjoy it :-) I hope all is great in Monaco!
Hey I always wondered if the length of those oars actually make a difference on how fast you can go and how much effort you can have to put into as far as physical exertion
@@paulpayette5241 I haven't made a set of plans yet but you can see a scale model and materials list in the sketchup warehouse under "Sliding Rigger SUP." Total build cost should be around $350 not including oarlocks and rigger pins.
Obviously you are a champion and expert. Please understand this question relates to technique and application for this type of rowing. I am about your height but lack your muscle mass and am about 11 years older. Please comment on the importance, if any, of keeping one's knees together during the stroke. When I first noticed some video of me doing this my knees were splayed and I was concerned as most videos I have seen show the knees together. In this video, I notice your knees are not kept together. Is this considered to be unorthodox? Thank you for your patience and understanding.
In Xeno's website you can see the rig: www.elite-rowing-coach.com/products/xenos-sup-sculling I like it very much but I think that it is an expensive pack (3000$). Maybe selling the "sculling system" alone (at a reasonable price or cheap price) he´ll sell it like cookies. I'll wait for a Decathlon's version...

rowermc At my full power, I do not bend the rigger.
Thanks Xeno! Good to hear that it would please both young and old beasts!

Thanks. The link to this product doesn't seem to work. Is it still possible to purchase one?
Check out RowOnAir or Oarboard. Both are similar products. RowOnAir has a sliding seat and Oarboard is a sliding rigger.
Hallo! Wie heißt die Rowing-Unit? Kann man das in Deutschland bekommen? Vielen Dank! :-O

Any plans for how to DIY to build your sliding rower?
I have a 3D model concept for a sliding rigger that can be made with off the shelf materials.
@@bobjones8412 can we have access to these plans - looking do to a DIY - thanks

I'd love to get some feedback from Xeno about using schedule 40 pvc for an outrigger. It seems pretty strong but may have some flex to it.

J.M. Sewell hi when I was slimmer the knees were less apart 😉
What board/rigger are you using? Would you recommend it? Growing number of products, hard to to tell which are good. Thanks!
