Good evening, I'm interested in a rowing boat and read an article on that. There are terms that I don't really get the meaning: 1- pin block. 2- bow mount rigger. Here are the extracts from the article: "Carbon Bow Mount Rigger (Optional Extra) The Sykes Carbon bow mount rigger is the forerunner in rigger construction. Designed by leading Australian engineers, the Sykes rigger is able to deliver the best for any elite athlete. Using prepreg carbon fibre with an advanced bladder moulding technique creates a single seamless rigger with zero joins". "Marked Pins Along with pin block measurement tapes standard on all Sykes boats, a centre line is marked on the base of all our pins. This makes it easy to see the centre of the span when measuring. Just one way Sykes makes rigging your boat that little bit easier." Thanks in advance for your help. Miya
Carbon fiber boats are stiffer and faster than the old wooden boats (and harder on your back) but nothing compares to a cedar Stampfli , a Carl Douglas or a King.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Conveys a lot of info in a little time. Well Done!
Yay! Hudson! I may be British, but I currently own a Great White Hudson 1x and love it to bits. My next boat (if/when I need/can afford it), USP!
