Man I love the classical standard rep of Tarrega, Albeniz, etc etc BUT this music from Ralph blows all the doors open on the nylon stringed guitar and feels like total freedom! Long live Towner!
Damn. Ralph is SO on his game here. We all have the same twelve notes. I just love what he does with HIS twelve. All the comments here are so on the money - his uniqueness, his time, his compositions and the standard repertoire of the instrument, his virtuosity . . . etc. His fan base may be relatively small but we are surely dedicated and totally appreciative. That has to mean everything to an artist who never panders and truly plays everything from his heart. We have a direct conduit to his music and all its genius. No middlemen. He couldn't do it any other way. Lucky us. Thanks RT
I've now watched several of the videos skibum posted (all seem to be from the same gig... and BTW, THANK YOU for sharing these), and all throughout I find myself marveling at is how effortless his playing appears, breezing through these tunes like it's no big deal. I've been following Ralph for something like 45 years, and he still continues to astonish me.
Great inspiration for a non-classical Nylon string guitarist like myself!!! Towner, Vahagni, John McLaughlin...... I wish someday my name will be among theirs
I love his music. What a genius.
He inspired thousands, I‘m one of them, thanks Ralph.
I love his music. Wonderful balance among excitement, lyricism and intelligence with very humanistic warmth. Truly beautiful!

So many great guitarists around, but in this genre, Ralph is surely king ! Wonderful.
Been a Towner fan for almost 30 years and this is the first time I've heard this tune. Excellent, Ralph!
