I lost..er..was abandonded by a lovely gal because I bought her a ticket to see my favourite band..and shortly after the concert began..she leaned over ...and asked me...if we could leave...I said no..I'm staying..do what you wish...never saw the goldigger again..God is great.
So wonderful. A perfect image of some one so excited on the verge of an adventure wondering if they have thought of everything they need and suddenly remembering they forgot something. Ralph is so amazing!!!
Emozionante
Mr. Towner is and always has been a master of the guitar. Such tone. There's both passion, and some improvisation in this piece. Such a joyful departure. Bravo!
@skibum1981 Ralph is a master composer-improviser, maybe his playing is a means to writing. Even with small mistakes he is the best player of his compositions. And never saw anyone improvising on his pieces like he does.
i get totally lost in his music. so much soul, character and poetry coming out of his fingers. the fact that he is not 'clean' really does not bother me (maybe because i'm not a guitar player). it's music! :-)
skibum1981 the other selections from this concert are played better. He has gotten rather sloppy in the last ten years, but then I think it's just that his brain is outpacing his fingers 😉
aeropilot also, age wears on the nimbleness of the fingers. Either way, I always thought of him as a jazz guy, so I don’t mind if his notes bark a little.

An original way to express it.

Bravo!
What a treasure Ralph is.
Besides his genius for composition, Towner also has incredible groove, regardless of the complexity, and that's what gives his music so much impact.
Ralph is magical. He appears out of nowhere at 0:02
What a genius!!!
Joyful listening.
Wow! Packed with emotions. Great music that takes me away and i can rest and enjoy. Thank you dear Ralph.
Thats what we all strive for!

"Clean" as in unplugged?
Edit: Nvm, I think I understand.
You call yourself "abstract man" and yet get lost with Ralph Towner....?
Was his spirit! He was probably still in the dressing room! Same result!
The sad and merry mixed together
!!!
Si dieu existe, il écoute Towner, c'est obligé...
abyle moun vraiment!
Gros Kif. Bill Connors était pas mal aussi. Chez Ralph comme chez Allan Holdsworth, rien à jeter
Lol. Yeah it didn't do that before I uploaded to youtube. Some kind of funky compression glitch...
Ralph the juggler.
@uneedtherapy42 Actually Towner isn't the cleanest of classical players, but his musicality is pretty unmatched...
