I took a gurl I wanted to have intercourse with to an Oregon concert as a guest..I was working fo the local folk club...and I love Oegon the band and Ralph..20 minutes into the performance she tells me she does not like the music and wishes to leave...!!
So..I turn to this good looking idiot and say...then take off..I'm stayin...fuku...she leaves..and I never hear from the succubus again..crap..I wanted to be laid!
this is so far beyond the average person's understanding of what guitar playing is. This is like guitar playing from another dimension of spacetime. Ralph is beyond belief!
@ uneedtherapy42 Indeed. Those who perform at Towner's level can be fully appreciated only by peers -- and there are very few. The rest of us can just enjoy the music.
It is great to see Ralph Towner performing after all these years of brilliant compositions, performances, and recordings. I will never forget when I saw him with Oregon long ago at Carnegie Hall.
Wonderful. Ever since I first listened to his 'Solo Concert' albumn back in the 1980's I have admired and enjoyed Ralph's guitar playing. My friend Peppino D'Agostino recently told me that he has played with Ralph Towner, and what a pleasure that must've been.
Ralph Towner me ha hecho pasar momentos maravillosos cuando empezó a grabar para ECM....mi adolescencia....verlo hoy me emociona..y me emociona ver gente joven escuchándole.
Kicking myself that I missed his concert when he played in Cork city a few years ago. What are the chances he will play here again?Unlikely. This mans music is a world in itself.
It was built for Ralph by the Australian luthier Jim Redgate in 2010 - one of his celebrated double-top models. They truly are extraordinary - I was fortunate enough to play my teacher's one a few times. He described it as 'a cannon', and that was pretty accurate!
1..2..er 3 ply when wiping after a buffalo herd shat in my living room..and my damn poodle refused ta pertek me?!..1200bucks fer poodle pooodleburger..crap..
I've been an Oregon fan for about 50 years but this year I have focused deeply on Ralph Towner solo playing and it is endlessly rewarding.

Ralph Towner is a beautiful person and a wonderful musician.
Never met him personally but I´m a fan for over 35 years.

The best guitar player alive today.
I've been an Oregon and Ralph Towner fan fifty (50) years: Ralph is a virtuoso❤!
One of the most inspirational and revealing guitarists I ever heard.
