One of the world's treasures. I'm sometimes on the verge of tears. Have been listening to them for 50 plus years.

    I didn't know I knew
    I didn't know I understood
A language that crept under my skin, seeped out my pores, swirled 'round within,
    Leaving me
    Never to be
    Never to be
    Never to be the same

An amazing group of musicians. One of the times I saw them, without a percussionist- using a drum machine, in a small club in upstate NY. It was called the Town Crier, in Pawling I think. I got there early and they were setting up and I started to leave. Ralph asked if I was there for the show and I said yes. He said, "Have a seat, we're about to do a sound check." So, I sat alone in the club while they did the sound check. I have a million things that I would have like to have said to Ralph but I was too taken aback to think of any at the time.

Paul's oboe is a voice from the God's, such purity, it has that warm Baroque sound.

This would make the great jazz fusion composer/keyboardist Joe Zawinul of Weather Report rise from his grave to take notes! This is amazing eclectic free form jazz!
