On your next visit to KL, try the local franchise restaurants. Few of them are Secret Recipe, Ayamas, Chicken Rice Shop, Paparich, Old White Coffee, Marry Brown etc. My favorite is Ayamas roast chickens. I also like Secret Recipe (they specialized in cakes, cheesecakes), my favorites are the fish and chips, lamb shank with mashed potatoes, blueberries cheesecake, macadamia caramel cheesecake.

Chicken percik is very traditional made with coconut milk and spices as marinade. Didnt think they made a modern fusion take with buttermilk. I'm lactose intolerant as are most Malaysians but it didn't look like too saucy. Normal Ayam percik is drenched in the coconut milk cream marinade and grilled very messy like Ramly burger.
