What I love about the movie is that these beings are grunts just like the marines. I imagine they have language and arts back on their home world. But they reach Earth and they have to fight grunts just like them. Another idea I really like is when the one is being examined so they can figure out how to kill them. And I wouldn't be surprised if that alien is TERRIFIED and in complete pain. And I might suspect the same might be happening to a few humans on some of their ships. Just food for thought :D
They have a language but the wiki doesn't have a translation to what they are saying, the machinery in their lower abdomen has a radio signal and a radio detector. So they can communicate miles away. This language is them making noises similar to a distorted crickets chirps. They don't feel pain but when they are getting shot on their weak spot but it's protected by membranes. They are traumatized and realize they are getting shot at or being melee attacked.
Best thing about this movie is that these guy are the bottom feeders of their home world and we struggle against them. Really bring the fear out of the movie knowing these aliens are powerful using leftover junks from their planet
But at the same time, though they are advanced, they are not that much. Their weapons and vehicles are not otherwordly, their weapons use projectiles, their aircraft have thrusters, they don't have energy shields or any truly alien and incomprehensible weapon. All they have we could have in 100 years or so if we compare war tech between 1923 and 2023. I even doubt they have strong space travel capabilities, as their arrival to Earth seems ragtag, like they were thrown to space and expelled and more of a crash landing one way trip with everything they got.

I would love to see at least 2 more movies how they beat the rest of them. I mean it was just chapter LA and not even the aftermath ... they still go to the front after all...
compared to other alien invader forces from other movies, these seem to be the weakest and easiest to defeat, they have no tactics at all, just land at the LA coastline and blindly shoot every human you see, stand in the open and install important infrastructure with no cover etc. the US military would finish these aliens off easily in reality
If you weren't paying attention to the film they were after water so they practically needed no distractions so they engaged humans and had to push away the military. The battle/war the Ants were fighting for was about resources. If you pay attention closely they were throwing hand signals and using tactics to aid their comrades in battle even dragging away their wounded to safety and finally ducking to cover. In reality the US military wouldn't exactly know where to hit the Ants directly due to there bodies having durability(because there brains are behind their hearts less chances of head shots) plus effect weapons, be noted the drones can attract signals so it would attack any Air unit via by radio and cell phone. The only reason they were defeat is because the drones was the only aircraft protection the Ants had because due a possible war on their home world. When the control ship fell so did their control over the situation when the copperhead blew it up. The US military will absolutely struggle with the Ants in battle due to limit understanding and unable to use their own weapons against them due to being literally binded to their limbs. Oh don't forget they're organized

Even the command station they have far exceeds anything we have even now, we still have a long way to go.
Even though the aliens are more advanced than Earth, their technology and tactical concepts aren't that different from what humanity can do. They're roughly 50 to 100 years head. They're not like the typical invading alien army that has energy shields and plasma weaponry.

I think you're forgetting that the Aliens achieve total air superiority in like an hour, and it's not broken until the command node is blown up.
