    i've played all 3 bioshock games and i love them all each one has something that makes it unique bioshock 2 you get to understand the big daddy's perspective/ side of things along with the weapon+plasmid use and upgradeability, infinit explains how rapture got the technology to make plasmids and big daddies while exploring a giant flying city that hasn't completely fallen to ruin and the first one in my opinion holds a beauty and air that makes you just feel so... ah just fantastic and each one has an amazing story

      +casey mcdonald I have yet to play Bioshock 2 and Infinite (yeah, I know, took me long enough), but the story in the original is a masterpiece! At the end of Bioshock: Infinite Dewitt ends up in the ocean ship finds him and picks him up after he gets better he has amnesia and doesn't know who he is. The person that rescued him was Ryan and the name of the ship was Andrew. After 48 years he becomes really smart and goes back to where they found him and decides to built a memory he has (if you have beaten Infinite Elizabeth shows you rapture) He builds it and after his son comes back he remembers and doesn't want to live. Multiple universes in which everything is being experienced at once. These multi-verses have certain constants, in every possibility Booker gives Anna to comstock to pay his debt, Anna loses her finger(which grants her the unique to ability to tear holes by herself), and Booker is ridden with shame. Booker then goes to a baptism ceremony, in some universes he accepts the baptism and becomes Comstock, in the others, he rejects it. There.

  • @NathanMcKitrick

    Man I have loved this game for years and years but they did a really poor job at explaining the story in the first one. I feel like there are big reveals throughout the story that just leave me scratching my head. Nothing really made my jaw drop like it should have. It's as if the developers gave you only a few pieces of a whole puzzle, and the pieces don't even connect.

      @Manoffire97 4 года назад

      @user-od9pj3vq8y 4 года назад +1

      I agree.
      I loved all 3 games, but Infinite was the only one where i was really invested in the story because Elizabeth literally explains everything during the game.
      In 1 and 2 you have to listen to these, sometimes really boring, audiotapes, and if you miss some of them, the story gets very confusing.

    No. They both have mutated freaks, but that's where the line is drawn. Bioshock is more linear, in a twisted and imaginative setting, where-as Fallout is more open in a post-apocalyptic world. But seriously, play both of the Bioshock games. I promise that they are some of the most badass games that you'll ever play. Also, Bioshock Infinite will be out in March. @TheKevinbrockett Yes, just as @Conmany123 said, it's Bioshock Infinite, however it take place in... 1912? Very early in the 1900's, in a city in the skies. It is being made by the same people that made the first Bioshock game, however it has probably very little to do with the other Bioshock games.

  • @NewCanadianTurtle
    @NewCanadianTurtle 11 лет назад

    I have to say that Infinite was the best for me.
    Bioshock 1 had amazing moments, but the problem for me was that they made you fight 5-8 enemies in one tiny confined area. It was really hard to get around your opponents and plant tactics when you were getting smothered by the enemies with very little space to move away.
    Infinite fixes that by giving you more choices on playing the game the way you want to. With bigger open spaces and tears that diversify the experience. Skyline was awesome too

  • @Cheddar_Wizard

  • @dm6182696
    @dm6182696 12 лет назад

    The real reason why is because Ryan's dream fell apart. His city of Rapture became the dictatorship/opressive government he tried so hard to get rid of and run away from. Rapture became what he hated most. After realizing this he tried to destroy Rapture by self destructuing it. But Jack stopped him so the only thing he had left was death. His dreams fell apart on themselves and in the end he acomplished nothing. Thats why he wanted you his son to put an end to him.

    Dude, thats Hugh Hefner. He gave us the Playboy Bunnies, quite possibly the greatest gift men have received.

    I honestly don't understand how you got thumbs up for that comment. I find it absolutely ridiculous.
    Saying that you can't really compare them is silly since they're both in the same franchise, and the gameplay is not all that different from eachother.
    The only difference is that Bioshock Infinite gave you much more open space to get around your enemies (not to mention the tears), and Bioshock1 made you fight enemies in really small and confined rooms.

    Except they aren't connected in that way. At all. I'm pretty sure Rapture and Columbia exist in different universes. Andrew Ryan was like Comstock, Dr. Tenenbaum was like the Lutece twins, and Atlas was like Daisy Fitzroy.

    To make a point.
    "A man chooses, a slave obeys."
    In that scene you are literally forced to kill him. You lose control of your character and watch as you beat him to death. It's a statement about how powerless you really are in the grand scheme of things.

    Fallout 3 and Bioshock share the same 1940's-1950's vintage style

    @IParaXero that was just a summary of the first Bioshock. In Bioshock 2 you star a Big Daddy (the very first actually) who has to find his little sister. I think its like 10 years aftrr the first game? Either way Infinite has nothing to do with the first 2 games in story or setting so you'd be fine... But they are awesome games that you should play :D

    @trana500 No, Dr. Suchong created the Big Daddies. Under Ryan's orders though. Suchong also created the bond between Big Daddies and Little Sisters. Suchong actually is killed because of this. While working on an experiment one day, he gets angry at a Little Sister and slaps her, resulting in her Big Daddy killing him. You actually go to Suchong's apartment near the end of the game and see the Big Daddie's drill still stuck in his corpse.
