I remember watching this broadcast and feeling very small and humble by God's beautiful creation. My first child, a beautiful daughter, was born in October of 1968 and I held her in my arms to watch the Earthrise. She doesn't remember that, of course, but the memory will never leave me. The reading from Genesis about the Creation was appropriate and emotional. I'm choking up at the memory.
What a beautiful message. Sure wish people of earth would still feel the passion it once knew. Our country is being destroyed and minutes from nuclear war. What a shame to self destruct what God Almighty has created.

I watched it as a kid. I cried then and cried again now. Such an incredibly emotional event. God bless all the people on the good earth.
