I have no illusions what is happening at Stellantis can't get to us and Ford. 2025 gonna be a very interesting year on the floor. I'll keep saving as much as possible because I still think we're headed for some lean times in the industry. Something has to give sooner or later.

My local dealer has had 2 hummer ev on the lot all year. I noticed just yesterday they took delivery of a 3rd hummer ev. Probably a 25 model and still havnt sold the 24 units. Crazy
Well since the EV push is about to get crushed for at least the next four year, (which I'm happy about) I wouldn't be surprised that next year you'll be practicality able to steal EVs off the lot. Manufacturers and dealers are gonna be in damage control trying to get rid of these EVs. I paid 6800 for it ith 83k miles back in 2018 which i thought was a great deal. Now you can't even get a 1500 for less than 30k these days. Absolutely insane.

I was looking at the Suburban. The dealerships are collecting cars, they're not selling them or even looking to make a reasonable deal. I understand capitalism and price gouging, but your in business to move product/inventory. The pricing doesn't make sense to me, knowing that other manufacturers are now discounting their trucks and cars up to $8K. Keep collecting cars, eventually you'll lose potential buyers.

I regret trading in my 2019 GMC Canyon at the end of its lease and not buying it out. It was a definition of a work truck: Stickered at $34,600 brand new (negotiated for $31K) , it was 4x4, extended cab, long bed, had a spray in bedliner, trailer hit, and all weather mats and mud guards. Now, in 2025, the GMC Canyon starts at almost $45K and only has tiny 5 foot bed, no spray in bed liner, and just looks like an overpriced SUV with a bed. The only real midsized work truck left on the market is the 2025 Nissan Frontier S - King Cab stickered at $36,800 and is, 4x4, S Utility Package (spray-in bed liner with outlets in the bed and rear center console), tow package, splash guards, and all weather mats. The SV version of this is $5K more if you want seat and steering wheel warmers and other creature comforts. But $36K MSRP is not terrible given what the rest of the midsized truck segment morphed into.
I am always tempted to walk into a dealership and say I noticed this vehicle has been sitting for over a year. Ill give you 10 k cash to take it off your hands or I walk away and you keep this car rotting in your lot. I know they wouldn't go for it but on the off chance they did would be hilarious.
you have to check the GM deals on the individual dealership websites, Silverado EV is the only EV truck that can actually do truck things IMO and I got mine recently at 60 months 0% APR for 88k on the 2024 RST, the only reason I held off on a nice truck was due to fuel efficiency and the thing is nice with it.
They gave up on making cars for the working class and thought they could switch over Porsche owners ... Hahahaha .... No they aren't trading in their land rovers for this .... Hahaha
