$100,000 for a truck? Really? I'd rather make that $1,300 payment on a house. The house will go up in value but not the truck.

the house can only go up in value if a sucker is willing to pay more than what you paid for. There isn't a rule or a law that says it has to go up in value. It's all depending on what someone can or wants to pay. It goes up in value only during speculative bubble times. And that's why the FED is cutting rates. Trying to prop up that Ponzi Scheme.

I work for them fellas. Started in September after 5 years at FCA/Stellantis. The line I run builds up the rear box for the Hummer EV's, both truck and SUV. Every night I ask myself have they even sold (insert however many I built up for the night) of these??? We do seem to have a few more affordable models. I have no illusions what is happening at Stellantis can't get to us and Ford. 2025 gonna be a very interesting year on the floor. I'll keep saving as much as possible because I still think we're headed for some lean times in the industry. Something has to give sooner or later.

In 5 years, the truck market became an overpriced cancer full of useless trucks that cost as much as a home did 5 years ago. I regret trading in my 2019 GMC Canyon at the end of its lease and not buying it out. It was a definition of a work truck: Stickered at $34,600 brand new (negotiated for $31K) , it was 4x4, extended cab, long bed, had a spray in bedliner, trailer hit, and all weather mats and mud guards. Now, in 2025, the GMC Canyon starts at almost $45K and only has tiny 5 foot bed, no spray in bed liner, and just looks like an overpriced SUV with a bed.
The only real midsized work truck left on the market is the 2025 Nissan Frontier S - King Cab stickered at $36,800 and is, 4x4, S Utility Package (spray-in bed liner with outlets in the bed and rear center console), tow package, splash guards, and all weather mats. The SV version of this is $5K more if you want seat and steering wheel warmers and other creature comforts. But $36K MSRP is not terrible given what the rest of the midsized truck segment morphed into.

you have to check the GM deals on the individual dealership websites, Silverado EV is the only EV truck that can actually do truck things IMO and I got mine recently at 60 months 0% APR for 88k on the 2024 RST, the only reason I held off on a nice truck was due to fuel efficiency and the thing is nice with it.

You paid $88k for electric pick-up truck? No wonder they’re not lowering the prices

Extremely stale set of debunked story telling sold here. Everyone knows that an engine has to be replaced every two years by the stealerships or the cops come after you for non-payment in Arkansas that is the main reason you buy an EV, to save on buying that replacement engine every two years.

I bought my 2013 Ford Raptor for 30k with 29k miles in 2017... it has 69k, paid off, today, and I plan on driving it for another 7 years. They can choke on their supply
