    This is SUCH a helpful video, thank you! I'm just starting out my career in costume crafts for theatre, and now I know how I'll approach mask making in the future. SO much less complicated and expensive than fosshape!

    Hello, I made the mask and it turned out very well, but the problem is that the outer surface of the mask is very uneven and I want to paint it, how can I make it even and smooth??

    • @CulturalCoalition
      @CulturalCoalition  2 месяца назад

      Recommend using paper clay and then smoothing it with sandpaper using different grits.

    Hey dude, this was really helpful, thank you! Can I ask, do you use anything on the inside of the mask to make sure it's comfortable for the person wearing it? Thanks :)

      In order to make it more comfortable, you may add foam padding or felt. Thanks.

    What about how to make holes to wear or even if you take it to Italy for Venetian carnival 1:01

    • @ericuswrex
      @ericuswrex Год назад +1

      You will be able to very easily drill a hole once dry, or while making the mask leave yourself a small gap! :)

    Si se hace con venda de yeso que tanto disminuye la calidad en lugar de Paris Craft?

    awesome technique, would you use fabric on the interior of the mask or leave it bare ? what do you recommend is durable and comfortable for the skin

    • @ericuswrex
      @ericuswrex Год назад

      A thin felt is common, though you would want to seal the mask just so perspiration doesn't make the cloth and mask get goopy. Layers of PVA glue is a cheap way to seal also!

    Hello Mr. Guerrero. I want to ask you two questions. Do you cover the entire mask with paper clay? Because the surfaces of your finished masks look very smooth. My second question is that paper clay is very expensive where I live. I don't want to make it myself at home either. Is it possible to use ceramic clay instead of paper clay? Thank you so much.

    • @ericuswrex
      @ericuswrex Год назад +2

      I'm not Mr. Guerrero, but I make masks in a similar way with paper clay and other air dry clay!
      You normally would cover with a thin layer since plaster bandages aren't very durable alone. You can use sandpaper to smooth, but you can also use your finger wet with water on paper clay and plaster after it is dry. Any air dry clay should work (depending on weight). as should paper mache. Normal ceramic clay may need to be fired, but air dry clays can be very durable and light!

    Hola amigo mexicano ...falta la segunda parte ....como le agrega fibra de vidrio a la cabeza de yeso?

    • @CulturalCoalition
      @CulturalCoalition  2 года назад

      Lo aplico atrás de la máscara para que esté más resistente. La resina de fibra de vidrio es muy pegajosa y pega bien atrás de la máscara. Buena suerte!
