I just bought this one and used today. It's so easy for me as I'm not an expert with mowers but I can completely control and manage this one. It's so light, everything is easy for folks not very strong
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
EGO has a battery problem. I bought an EGO lawnmower in 2021. My only concern was how long the battery would last. That turned out to be a valid concern. The original battery stopped working in 6 months. Fortunately, they replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, 6 months later the replacement stopped working. They told me their replacements aren't covered by warranty so I was SOL. The only option they offered was to purchase a new battery at the retail price. Which was more than I paid for the mower originally. Fool me once...back to a gas mower for me.
My neighbor has a first generation ego mower… He’s had it for about 10 years and has literally only spent a few dollars to sharpen the blades and purchase some lubricant. Plus the cost he’s had to charge the batteries… He’s had such a ridiculously low cost of ownership with this mower and he absolutely loves it!
Same. Going on 5 years and I haven't had a single issue yet. And this is mowing down Fern Gully weekly in Florida. No bag. All mulching. I can cut a 1/4 acre with the original battery still running strong.
With the exception of the 7.5 amp hr battery I didn't see any new features as compared to my 21 inch select cut Model purchased in the fall of 2021. Did I miss something ?
Their lineup is ridiculously bloated. They've done that to pretty much every single category they have and then completely skipped other categories that their competition is in. I love my Ego equipment, but their product management is baffling.
As far as I've been able to ascertain. It's only the select cut (two blades) that differ. Is there more? I just can't see the $150 for the double blade. They are both brushless motors and have 7.5 ah batteries. I'm referring to the 2135.
does this model have the walk me home feature? my old one had enough reserve battery to drive me back to the barn after the cutting tapped out. Love that feature.
Ego currently lists THIRTEEN walk-behind mowers on their website!!! They range in price from $400 - $1100. I'm a big fan of Ego. I have a blower, hedge trimmer, edger, string trimmer, and the $400 mower. I have 3000sf of mostly flat Bermuda. The $400 single blade non-propelled mower works fine for me. I can see having a push (non-propelled) mower on the low end, a basic self-propelled mower as a slight step up, and then a top-of-the-line self-propelled mower with all the bells and whistles at the top. But what possible legitimate reason is there for the other TEN????
I just got one of these and you know what i love is that it's quiet And I love that it's quiet and rechargeable. Also gas is stinky and my hands are dumber than dogs feet so I can't fix anything by myself with my dumb brain but I love this thing I love how the wheels go round well you know what else I love I love how I push to handle and I love how the wheels go round and round and you know what else I love about that I love how I just has just I voided the warranty when I cut wet grass and I just love how I need to buy five $300 batteries to cut my lawn and they don't last long before I have to buy new ones. You know what else well I love how there is five pages of warnings and about the danger of this fire hazard And you know what else I love about this machine I love how it makes me feel like a dainty girl even though I'm a grown ass man. And do you know what else I love? I love how this mower is the only mower I'm allowed to have And you know what else I love I love that my choice has been taken away from me. And you know what else I love I love vaccinations I get one every day at least one. And you know what else I love I love being a victim of genocide. So when you go to buy a new mower you going to buy this one or something just like it cuz that's all you're allowed to have. And I love that its quiet and safe except for the pages of dangerous safety precautions that make it much more dangerous than my old mower that cost much less and i was allowed to repair myself. Yeah i love this mower and you will too because you don't have any choice.
I have EGO string trimmer, leaf blower and lawnmower. For a comparison between EGO lawnmower and gas powered is the weight of the deck. I prefer gas powered lawnmower, it has whipping effect and more solid than plastic chassis.
Would this be ok for an older person. I want to ship one to my dad in another state. He has a Honda gas powered with self propelled but he says it’s too heavy when he reverses and to lift it up the garage door.
The product photos show same size wheels all around, but in your video they look bigger in the rear, smaller in the front, same as last years models. Can you confirm? Was hoping this year they would all be the same size.
For the price of some of these Ego mowers, I can buy a Honda push mover, gas of course. I have both an Ego leaf blower and chainsaw, and I love both, but these mowers give me concern. I need to buy a mower very soon but I'd buy an Ego and hold my breath.
@@letmebreakitdown2u152 compared to traditional gas mowers it's noticable, add-on the special blades you have to buy more often I'm skeptical it's going to save me that much money in the long run
If I get one, I’m painting over that design. It is very unpleasant to look at. It’s like they couldn’t be bothered when it comes to how it should look with other mowers and by other people. These mower company’s are selling to dorks. If it can’t mow a half acre on a single charge , then will just get a gas one that’s a lot cooler than that “hip” gizmo
My EGO is pretty much okay, but the self-propel system is downright ridiculous. The buttons on either side are quite large--a plus, you might say, and it is for ease of use. But these large buttons are far too easy to press when you don't want the self-propel function to operate. Of course, you can adjust the center wheel button for no self propel, but turning it to off, but that is a pain. The fact is, the self-propel function is too easy to operate when you don't want it to. The buttons are simply taking up too much room on the handle. And your hands are always on the handle--and you have to be so careful not to press the SP buttons. The previous system was much safer.
I’m new to ego..I will say they have too many models..Ego if your reading this…simplify your mower line..concentrate on fewer models and build on that quality.. My friend ditched your brand mower because of a locking issue on the wheels..And customer service said it was a safety feature ?? I don’t believe it.. Please inform us on that ?? I'm not a happy EGO mower owner after five months of weekly use on a lawn that fully depletes a fully charged battery. 1 - the mower no longer self-propels at the same fast speed as when new. It's only about 60% of original speed. 2 - The self propel will commonly engage with zero power when i'm attempting to mow without it. This feels like the mower has put the brakes on, and requires me to have to stop and wait a moment for it to disengage. I would not recommend this product.
I have a new Toro lithium, it sucks, drive wheel fell off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.
EGO MOWER -- DO NOT BUY ! Buying a battery operated mower was to support the eco movement, etc., and we thought it was a great idea. But, the electric wire(or relay switch) in the handle failed, which I've been told and read about online, is common. On June 13th I called EGO and was told my mower was under warranty and to take it to the recommended repair location nearby, so that's where it's been since then. Despite their many requests the repair shop can't get EGO to send parts and despite my many calls to EGO, they will not help in any way. EGO keeps saying it's being escalated to the proper department, but nothing happens. My mower has been in limbo all summer without the company taking any responsibility for providing parts to the repair shop. I just don't know what to do. I will never purchase another EGO product!

These EXPENSIVE batteries start to glitch after a couple of years and EGO customer Service is unbelievably unhelpful. Of course by the time this happens you have already committed to the range of products so you have to buy another battery. Purchase EGO at your own risk. You have been warned!
We like our older E-go mower but we were very disappointed to learn that the mower we bought yesterday requires a blade change in order to bag the grass. Fire whoever thought of that. 👎👎
I got it used-new with no batteries $180.... the batteries are waaay to expensive and with Trump coming in the price of these Chinese made Ego batteries will be $550 to$1000 plus.. you can't make these batteries cheaper anywhere else due to supply chain vertical integration
After buying over $4K in Ego tools over the years, sadly, the company is dead to me. Their poor reliability and horrific customer service is just not worth it. As their tool have been steadily dying, I've been replacing them with Milwaukee and DeWalt tools.
I have a ego edger that is under three years old and had to have it fixed already under warranty. They had to put a new wire harness in the motor. It would ramp up then die. Only use it once a week for about 5 min to edge my driveway and sidewalk. It was under warranty. Had to have a local service shop that is ego approved fix it. Hope it lasts this time. Hope it is not a trend cause I have a blower and now trimmer.

Wash that Deck! Or the fungus man will visit you
Since it doesn’t seem to mow thick grass I’ll stick with my gas.
How did you come to that conclusion?
Made it up. Multiple reviews show it used on grass exceedingly thicker and taller than we'd mow with any push mower.
