If you think the outer screen should do more, maybe you could just open the phone... If the cover told you everything you need to know, why would anyone open it up. No reason to have anymore functionality on the outside when the inside already does it.
There's nothing in the review about "long-term" use. This is a review like all the rest, nothing about wear over 6 months, scuffs or scratches, hinge aging... nothing.
I have this phone, with android 14 they brought mini apps to the cover screen, so much better now, can practically use any app now on the cover screen instead of just widgets
been using it since launch! i almost had a heart attack when you did the wrist flip lmao, but yeah the hinge gets really smooth after a month of use and you will start to get anxious if itll break or something but so far its been working like a charm! i hope they care more about the front screen and add more features as time goes!
That is almost a perfect foldable for my preferences. I doubt I will buy one anytime soon, but I do hope to see more portrait folders in the near future. I miss my StarTac (OG) days when phones were approaching zoolander size.
It’s easily the best phone I have ever owned. I keep reading tons of reviews abotu Samsung this, Motorola that, none fo them are as good as this Oppo. The zero gap is amazing, I am lucky I can get this in China, where it’s the lowest cost.

I wish Samsung would use this chip in the Flip5 meaning they would save money and could pass that onto customers or add features like swapping the ultrawide camera for a zoom. Flip phones are not meant for the performance-orientated users, efficiency and thermals are more important. We get this is the UK and it is a solid alternative to the Flip4 even undercutting in price. I am sure it would sell well in the US, but sadly the world has become an economic political minefield and if anything the anti-Chinese sentiment is spreading from the US to Europe. Latest rumours are that OPPO may pull out of Europe as well.

I just looked it up on Amazon and it was $1200.00 so I think NOT. If it were $500.00 then maybe but at that price, you might as well get the Galxy or Motorola Flip in the US.
On iPhone, AirPods Pro 2, on Android, between Nothing Ear (2), Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and potentially the new Beats Studio Buds+ when they come in. I haven’t found the “best all rounder” on Android like on iPhone.
This is easily the worst phone I've ever used, and I regret buying it. The battery life is *awful*. I'm lucky to get three hours of screen on time. I've had it drop to 75% in a morning just sitting in my pocket. 😐

After updating to colorOS Android 14, this phones is getting better. Glad I'm not upgrading to the n3 flip😅
