I have had Agreeable Gray as our primary interior color for the past 18 years and I'm STILL not sick of it. Which says a lot for me because prior to 2004, my walls had been EVERY color you can imagine... i repainted our walls every 6 months. No joke! 😳LOL
Thanks for making these videos. I find them helpful and entertaining. We almost painted our home Agreeable Gray, but now we're leaning toward Behr's Aged Beige. I'd love to see you review this color if possible!
We chose Agreeable grey (with the help of a designer) because the HOA-mandated color of the outside of our home is a very light grey with a sky blue undertone, with dark grey trim with a purple undertone. That way, the interior would still be grey but wouldn't be so cool so as to look dated, and would still feel cohesive from inside to outside. We have warmed it up on the inside with warm, unstained wood furniture, oat colored carpet, sky blue and other nature accent colors, and off-white trim for the moldings and cabinets. No regrets!
Thank you so much for posting these informative & entertaining videos! Wondering if you'd consider covering SW Accessible Beige 2487 since it's also a very popular neutral. Also interested in the difference between BM Edgecomb Gray & BM Natural Cream...presently considering all these colors & would very much appreciate your take. Thank you!
Yeah, Urban Putty does look exactly like putty. 😁 If it was me, I would’ve gone with the name Graytree or Gray Forests for the dark color at the end. However, Braintree is not that bad of a name for a paint color. Then again, that shade of gray would’ve been easily named Superman’s Lead. Because the man of steel can’t see through lead? That would be a cool name for a gray paint color though.
If you're ever in Boston, hop on the red line and you'll hear the normally bland computer-generated voice announce Braintree with such delight, as if it's the greatest place on Earth.
Agreeable gray is literally the worst color to go for. It lacks warmth, has too much of a green ice cold undertone and ends ups having zero specificity. You just look at it and think blah all over. It looks very drab in poor lit rooms and only shows up with any ‘color’ in a super enclosed and small room. Like a well lit closet.
I was wondering about this. 😂 I was thinking I didn't put enough coats on and the minty looking green paint I was covering up was coming through. Had I known it had that under tone I wouldn't have purchased this color. I'm not good with undertones, obviously! lol
Its not a good choice for low light rooms where do don't have good artificial light. I have it in my living in the morning precoffee the room doesn't have a lot of light the funny thing is by the time my coffee is done and light comes in or I turn lights on it looks drab. All this time I thought it was coffee changing my perspective. LOL! I learned to open my blinds right away now. LOL! I have it in 2 rooms and love it... but with low light its a definite prison cell look.

It is every color in a way! That’s why they’re so popular
I like this because you are demonstrating the use of the most contemporary neutrals now. I really enjoy the wood toned furniture in the spaces!
Thanks Susan! Glad you like!
Agreeable Gray is a wonderful balanced gray. I like your charcoal and raspberry pairings!

Ooo that's a nice greige too!
I like the pinkish, even if it lost out. Still fun to see. But then, I have a yellow kitchen so I'm all about the colour. Bring it on!
You and me both!

What would you recommend as a substitute for Agreeable Grey ? I do not have easy access to SW. ty. Love your channel 🙂
What brands do you like to use?
I need the best greige for oak floors with navy and red furnishings.
Light oak or red oak?
thanks for introducing me to braintree. So now where can I put it?
Any time!
Elder scrolls ❤️
