In 2022, the festival was held from April 16 to May 29

The Fuji Shibazakura Festival happens at Fuji Motosuko Resort, near the base of Mt Fuji (hence the name). With 800,000 plants packed into 2.4 hectares, the festival promises only the most spectacular views of a number of varietals of phlox subulata, set around a small lake (that, according to legend, is home to a tamed dragon), against the backdrop of Japan's most famous landmark (Mt Fuji)

✨ Shiraito Falls ✨
is known as the Greatest Waterfalls in Japan.
Clear water is gushing out of precipices between aged Fuji volcano layers and new Fuji volcano layers.
Hundreds of falls including big and small ones flow down from 20m heigh and 150m in width curved precipices.
Shiraito Falls was selected as scenic spot and natural monument in 1936. It was also chosen as "Top 100 tourism spot

It's a lovely festival of flowers. I saw the waterfalls too. Amazing, but i wish there were less people, too crowded. The falls were my favorite to see! 🌺🌺💞💞

Hi! I am wondering what the best way to visit outside of the season? For example, if the suggested dates for the Fuji Motosuko resort is April 15, and I want to visit April 14. Would the highway express buses be running at that time? Thank you in advance!
Hi, the festival for this year will start on feb 13. From what I heard, there are always buses going there even out of season. You can also check this link for more info www.japan-guide.com/e/e6919.html

Hi sorry for the late response. This festival is every year but the peak of shibazakura may vary depends on the weather but good timing is atleast end of April until 2nd week of May. This year festival date starts from April 15 to May 28.
