Fantastic! ..thank you for the video 👌
Rokid are AWESOME. I purchased the Xreal and Beam what a waste of money. The Rokid is THE BEST !!!
👍 Good thorough info and review !!!
I'm in love with this glasses, even when it's not exactly like the ironman movies it is super amazing
Do you have them
TK, thanks for testing with the PS5! Big question, does the HDMI adapter support 120hz when using with the Rokid Max (with PS5)?
When used with a PC, does the extended screen stay positioned next to the laptop screen if you move your head or does it move with your head? I want it to essentially be a virtual monitor mounted next to my laptop, if that makes sense.
I want to buy one but I don't know which one is better Rokid max or tcl nxtwear s I'm working on as a designer and always need extra screens. Hope you'll guide me the best
Would these glasses work for PC gaming such as World of Warcraft? Or Diablo?
What about multiple windows visible in the glasses for having say discord/Netflix on one and game on another all visible through the glasses?
I am visually impaired and have a question about the screen. 215" at 6 m sounds good but can one get closer than that by zoomning or "walking" toeards the screen?
If connected to a phone will the screen on the phone remain on but can you shut it off to save battery?
With the sheild on do you get the full screen size experience?
How big is the display? Is it bigger than the psvr2 when playing games or watching a video on those ? The psvr2 is like sitting infront of a 200inch screen. What are the rokid like ? Thanks
Cool ! Will this work with samsun note 8 ? 😊
Hey i bought these rokid max, and i havent found anyway to use them beside just as a screen for my steamdeck. I have not been able to emulate android, on it or my pc to get the rokid ar app. And im an iphone user in the usa so no way to get access to anything other than just a screen to put on my head that moves with every breath i take. Any suggestions? Or you just peddiling a bad product?
I know it addresses myopia, but what if you have the opposite: hyperopia (farsightedness). Is there adjustment for that too?
It pains me that my Pixel 7 pro doesnt support video out...what a joke. lol
As a prrson who uses prescription glasses, what is your opinion about the diopter adjustment? You get totally comfortable using the glasses adjusted to your eyes?
Im like at -14 near sightedness, These glasses I dont think can help me, but imwondering if I can use these with normal thicc ass glasses?
Neverless I hear you can get prescription lenses from Lensology
Pls TK, can I plug thermal imaging camera or IR camera
Since iphone does not have USB-C, does it work with an adapter or not at all?
I pre-ordered March 26. I've heard nothing about when Rokid plans to ship
How does the glass really work? If I connect my PS5 and the screen shows on my glass, then how can I connect with the PS5 and other devices?
Thank you for answering my Questions and have a nice day.
I am a software developer and I was curious how well you can see text. I think this would be great to code on while I’m on planes. So can you read text? If so down to what size? Ie in ms word can you see size 8 font times new roman?
Did you get a pair to figure it out?
What's the image quality like?
Can I hook up Rokid Max to my iPhone?
When isit out in uk?
Can you use this while walking (aka: housechores..?)
I get a message saying this device has not been granted permission to record video, what does that mean? And What are you using to move the pointer? When I plug in the glasses, all I see is a green screen, how do you watch something on it?
How long before it starts heating up?
Can i watch VR videos and experience it like oculus ?
FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO CONFIRMS if this works with the Switch and a Power Bank! But to clarify and confirm good sir; can I actually take these glasses, the mini hub, my Switch and any batter bank to work with my Switch on the go? Or do I need to be tethered to an AC adapter?
Absolutely as long as your power bank is able to provide enough power you're good. I was using a zendure power bank and it worked flawlessly for as long as my son wanted to play.
This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to play vr games with it?
Wow nice
Futuristic 😮
I hope somebody compares these to the viture one xr glasses
are these better then the nreal air ?
I have 4 x monitors for stock trading, could I use these to replace them all ?
Would love your thoughts. 🙏
So this would not be a good replacement for all monitors but more like a one to one replacement. the app that supports app pinning works with a limited set of apps on the phone. I would use this an on the go solution for when you need to trade and only have one display and need a bigger one to work from.
Thanks for your review! Im torn between these and the Nreal Air. At the end of the day, gaming and movies will be secondary for me since i will use it mainly for work. I code, so i need to be able to see text clearly, with that in mind, would you go for the Nreal or the Rokid?
I guess the best thing to do would be to test both before buying, unfortunately thats not an option for me. At the moment im leading towards the nreal based on the looks, community and general good reviews. However, i must admit i do like the fact that these seem to be brighter than the Nreal.
My main concern is that it has to be sharp, i need to be able to see the text clearly. I dont wear prescription glasses, however if its very dark (say when i drive at night) and my eyes are tired from starring at a monitor all day, i do sometimes wear a 0.1 graduated prescription glasses just to have a bit more clarity. So brightness is important for me too. Im guessing the Nreal are bright enough when they have the cover on, but the added brightness of these does seem good. Also, is there a good enough community support as there is for the Nreal?
Viture one xr glasses also look promising
@@Kawasaki_Keef which one?
@@Kawasaki_Keef who? Nreal or rokid?
Yes I 2nd that
@@Kawasaki_Keef the viture customer Support was great tbh :)
Would love for them to put 3.5mm jack on the glass handle
Very cool tk
Thanks man they look and they work so nice
@@TKBay I'll have to try a pair some day👍😁
That look cool
You are promoting Rokid Max without bringing up the fact that it is VERY LIMITED in terms of the hardware that is compatible with it.
I am unable to use my Rokid Max on my Lenovo Ideapad3, Samsung phone A32 5G, my Amazon Fire 10 HD Plus or my Chromebook.
I was able to install the Rokid AR on my phone only but still it was not working. My Lenovo Ideapad3 recognized Rokid Max but still unable to use it.
There are no instructions or videos to help new users. All the products they have are promotional, misleading and not instructional.
We need help to be able to use the product or we would have no use for it and will have to return it.
Any thoughts on this?
Do those devices support Display Port Alt Mode functionality? AFAIK, that's the only requirement and is made perfectly clear as such, and even then you should be able to connect them to basically anything that has HDMI output via converter.
Does this require software installed on a PC??????
No software needed, just support for video output on your PC. Over USBC
What’s the response time on these glasses?
The response time should be sub ms but the persistence is at best, roughly 120^-1 ms and that the input lag isn't something most reviewers don't know how to measure on a normal display let alone an ar headset.
@@kmah324 Yeah, the inability get any actual info on input latency and color accuracy is my biggest gripe with these types of devices and what basically breaks them for me.
We have the goggles, now we just need the data gloves so I can have the 21st century internet experience I was promised
How big is the screen with the black covers on? tx
To me it's about 55 to 65" tv in front of you
Tx! Ordered one! A big plus is that it support Netflix, Disney+ and others.
Congratulations and yes it's absolutely fantastic. I just watched 3 hours worth of show is on a flight back to Los Angeles with them
Also I hope you were able to take advantage of that $20 off coupon in the description
@@pukingeorge Why wouldn't it support those apps? That makes no sense.
These glasses are simply an extended display for your smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.
so, the display is bigger without the shades, why?
The perception of the size of the display is larger when you can see the space around you. That gives you the larger display
Unfortunatley you didn't mention in your review anything about the limited fov (50°) and the fact the screen experience is far from being 215" (marketing bla bla). It would be also good to mention that for some ppl a risk of sickness exists, especially if the screen is not fixed in the space, which brings me to my final critism of this review: no details about the difference between air mode and normal mode (screen size adjustable?, fixed screen position, etc.). All the accessoires, glasses size and look are nothing worth if the "screen experience" doesn't feel right!
ياليت تتكلم عنها بالعربي .. محتاجين مثل هالنوع من المنتجات
Of...course.
Have you tried working out while wearing the glasses?
I have not tried that. Bit honestly without the cover on would be the way to test it. And as long as you are in a well lit room they should work. No running or fast pace workouts though
@TK Bay well, probably help if you wear the straps that are part of the add-on to the glasses. Maybe it will work.
It will help but you have to keep in mind The glasses will still bounce on the bridge of your nose and that would cause distortion
I did on Nreal Air and tbh it's fine while walking you get used to it but running it's impossible, only solution is to wait for AR solution that keeps display stationary which Nreal working on for windows and they already have one in Mac
What will happen to your vision if you use them in the long term?
What a question!
As far as I can tell, these types of glasses don't directly beam the image into your eyes like a laser or anything like that.
The image is simply reflected onto the glass in front of your eyes.
I doubt there's any long term health issues to worry about. HOWEVER, it's important to find out if any of these glasses have a blue light filter mode available.
Can I use these comfortably while lying down in bed? Does anyone know?
Can't seem to provide any honest feedback regarding this glasses. gets removed
So disappointing that the video is visible from the other side of the lens.
I was gonna purchase these but i keep reading they have horrible customer support so buyer beware
Can you jail break these?
Why would you??
I hope they get the international control box sorted soon. but what I am really are hoping for is Samsung to make their own glasses. while this is awesome I have a difficult time trusting chinese companies because of their gov.
Screen is made by sony, not Samsung
@@maegnificant does not matter. what matter is the company and the ecosystem in this case. the outsourcing is not a problem at all.
@@CarnisChampion just saying. I would really love for someone to compare the rokid max and the viture one xr glasses. No one seems to have both
@@maegnificant of course :) same with me. hum did not know about viture one xr looks promising. the magnet contact is the only issue I see with it after checking it out. the reason is I like to have everything it the same standard. USB-c or micro USB but yeah I would love to see them compared to each other :)
@@CarnisChampion i find it to be very convenient. And the Brightness (1800nits) and neckband is pretty cool too! Smaller screen and no 120hz though... Would really love to hear from someone who can compare them. Got the viture on pre order already though, with switch dock
Gadgets like this really saves a lot of chemicals they use for big TV's and what about the energy you save with this.
Ok.let me say the truth as I own both brands. 1st the glasses are from top to bottom too small. Therefore you constantly need to place them in an uncomfortable position. 2. There is no angle adjustment, leading to bending the nose fitting. 3. The style in truth doesn't really matter. They should be made to be used practical. Who cares about the style. I mean I'm not going to be wearing them for fashion as it really is not practical. Just design the frame to work. The main issue on both xreal and rokid is the top to bottoms in ratio to the screen. Rokid has a higher resolution but stupid design that bleeds the bottom through. Xreal is a bit wider from top to bottoms therfore a better view. But both need improvement in the top to bottom.
Stopppppp saying "of course"
He has painted nails🤦♂️
Feedback…you say “of course “ too much. You also say everything to positive as you have been using this and everything else is subpar.
*Looks like the backlash was real.*
*Whoever designed the first pair should be fired and never design anything ever in life.*
*Glasses looked ridiculous, had you looking like Geordi LaForge from StarTrek: TNG.*
*Then the only color choices were red & grey.*
*Anyone who knows anything about tech is you create all black and the other colors are a specialty not the primary.*
*These look a little better but why cant they just go for the normal glasses/shades type design like the NReal.*
*And still not having basic black is still a no-go for me.*
*I guess I will wait for them to come to their senses for the 2024 design.*
*When you buy a TV you don't buy a red TV, orange bluray/streamer player, yellow entertainment center and a pink router.*
*Normally they are all black unless you have all white.*
"Anyone who knows anything about tech is you create all black " LOL....SFU... Anyone who knows anything about tech knows, aesthetics is not the leading factor....Gen Z asshole
People don't buy those colors not because they don't want them but rather because they're not available on most products.
Why does your son have his nails painted? Makes no sense
Maybe because he wants to. Why should he not be able to, when? I'm sure you would never ask why his daughter has her nails painted? This whole gender role expectations is kind of dumb don't you think?
Maybe the painted nails make the AR experience more exciting.
Because he can. Maybe he's a goth kid.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! - Read this before buying
I currently have no problems with the Rokid Max glasses. I have had problems and concerns with the company not only having misleading information about the product but providing zero response to my support questions and needing to return the wireless display adapter. When I emailed the company about the purchase of the product, their response was within 24 hours. When I emailed the company support about issues I was having-which I did on four occasions-I still have not received a response to answer my actual questions.
Bottom line is that if you have a device that has a USB-C display port output, which include the devices on their approved list, things should work as presented. I would make sure that you can use the Rokid Max glasses as you desire and that you have a device that can support them. I wanted the glasses for travel media streaming and as you will see below, this isn’t possible in many situations.
Android Phones:
- The Goovis wireless adapter is not compatible with Android 13 and does not work. I was able to get it to work with an older Android version (10), but the bottom line is:
You will never be able to use the Goovis wireless adapter to stream any videos from popular services like Netflix, Hulu, Max, Prime, Disney, ... because these apps will not allow you to cast to any device that isn't on the same wireless network for security reasons. Since the Android device must be connected to the Goovis MiraCast, the Netflix like services only play the sound and not the video content.
YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STREAM ON POPULAR APPS (e.g. Netflix) WITH THE WIRELESS ADAPTER.
-If you have an Android device that has the capability of a display port output, then you can plug the glasses directly into the USB-C port of the device and stream movies. I tested this and it works on a Samsung S22 phone.
Apple Devices:
- You can use the Goovis wireless adapter, and it worked for me on my iPad, but you will not be able to stream any videos from the popular video service apps like Netflix, for the same reasons above.
- You can plug the glasses directly into an Apple device if it has a USB-C port (which my iPad does) and then use the "Stage Manager" feature that will allow you see your streamed video content. This is not a screen mirror capability, but it will work for seeing and hearing video content on the Rokid Max glasses.
I have still not heard back from Rokid about how to return their useless display port adapter :-(
