My razor 2023 not the plus unlocked version this morning. Just got the android 14 update. I have a T-Mobile razor plus it has not got the update yet but I'm assuming will get an update within a few days. Thanks for the video!!
Also, the new Motorola UI did come with this update on the razor 2023! !

Great overview of the new Razr+ 2024. Also, for SmartConnect, could you connect to your laptop or PC by only using the front cover (once the app is added to the front screen)? I really just want to use the front screen and don’t want to rely on the inner screen.
I thought you're able to add the Smart connect app to the cover screen whenever you click it it requires you to open the phone to be able to control the display that you're connecting into so unfortunately at this point we're not able to fully use that feature with the device closed

On the 2024 when the outer screen is in sleep mode with the AOD do notifications still wake the screen and you can read the notiification before it goes back to sleep mode? I no longer can read notifications from on outer display after the android 14 update on my 2023 razr, the AOD is nice but not being able to glance and read new notifications when recieved is disappointing, now wakes and get sound notification but no banner message to read, have gone back to my iphone for now
How much do both models differ in energy consumption? There are different processors. Which model will live longer and for how much longer?
I listen to RUclips in the background all day long and my Galaxy S21 is already discharged by 18-00
for that type of usage the regular Razr would work best for you, larger battery and lower power consomption

the regular will be the champ for sure. the processor and the larger battery will do that
I've had every release of the Razr+ so far. I love it. The crease is just now becoming noticeable on last year's model (by feel) it's barely visible tho. I hope the screen cover is a bit more sturdy this year as I think sand and dirt on the screen has caused the extra wear at the crease. We vacation in the desert and beach so that's what I'm attributing it to. I've accidentally dropped it a few times and have not had a cover on it and can say it's pretty sturdy no screen breakage, but scratches unfortunately. I bought mine unlocked from Motorola and got 14 update yesterday.
Razr 2023 ultra or Razr 2024 standard? Which one you would choose?

Galaxy Z Flip series STILL doesn't support Dex but has a USB 3.2 port.
Meanwhile, the foldable Razr phones support Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) but only have USB 2.0 ports.
I'm sick and tired of these compromises on flagship phones. 😑
That RAZR has been truly disappointing - Since January FW update, have to open the phone to use Google Assistant properly, and Moto is not even committing to fix this critical user-function, despite still advertising that Assistant can be used with the phone closed. It is a serious defect for a phone that promotes usability when closed. The Lenovo/Moto/RAZR support/discussion board shows how little Moto is taking any responsibility of a broken feature Moto specifically promotes. Moto RAZR... outrageous you have to open the phone to use Google Assistant, awkward, not as advertised, more wear on the hinge and screen fold... since Jan '24 - still that way in July - that 25% of a phone's typical use life a critical SW function is broken. Great idea, but someone dropped the ball on this critical function.
Still uses USB 2.0 which should be ILLEGAL. 👎👎👎
